Mamie McKinney Washington, 92, of Senatobia, died May 12, 2006 at her granddaughter’s home in Memphis, Tenn. She was a member of the Usher board and Mother board.
Services were held at 4 p.m. on May 19 at Mt. Peel MB Church in Holly Springs, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. R. Cox officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves a granddaughter, Janice Milam of Memphis, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren, Terry Dye of Olive Branch, Kelly Milam of Memphis, Tenn., Gary McKinney of Memphis, Tenn.; 10 great-great-grandchildren and six great-great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Holts Sr., Steve Holts, Steve Milam, Carlos Smith, Billie Joe Milam and Frank Milam Jr.
John Earl Belfor
John Earl Belfor, 86, of Holly Springs, died May 10, 2006 at V.A. Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Masonic Lodge and a World War II Army veteran.
Services were held at 12 noon on May 15 at Gray’s Chapel CME Church in Hudsonville, where he was a member. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Rod Lester officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a son, John E. (Sparky) Belfor of Holly Springs; and four grandchildren, Arvy Belfor of Tupelo, Loretta Aldridge of Memphis, Tenn., Taundrea Boga and Jeremy J. Brown, both of Holly Springs.
Pallbearers were family and friends. Honorary pallbearers were Gilbert Lowe, Willie Riddle, Joe Franklin, Ellis Shaw and Willie Miller.
Garmilla Ann Bell
Garmilla Ann Bell, 51, of Gulfport, died May 13, 2006 at her home. She was a Baptist.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on May 18 at McKay Cemetery in Hickory Flat.
She leaves a daughter, Renee Dowd of Plymouth, Mass.; three brothers, Milton Bell of Hernando, Charles Bell of Bainbridge, Ga., Doug Teel of Holly Springs; a sister, Chris Gray of Hickory Flat; two grandchildren and her best friend and companion, Gilbert Newman III of Saucier.
Clarence Edward Blackmon
Clarence Edward Blackmon, 55, of Holly Springs, died May 5, 2006 at his home. He was an auto mechanic, and a factory worker with Forgery and Die Company.
Services were held at 12 noon on May 13 at Chulahoma MB Church, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. John E. Booker officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Donzella Wilson Blackmon of Coldwater; a daughter, Yolanda Joyner of Coldwater; two sons, Travis Blackmon of Southaven, Keith Blackmon of Columbus, Ga.; nine sisters, Ivory Blackmon, Ruby Blackmon, Ethel Mosley, Joyce Blackmon, Vera D. Blackmon, all of Holly Springs, Chenelle Blackmon of Byhalia; Clara Jones of Olive Branch, Vera L. Bobo of Memphis, Tenn., Lula Wofford of Milwaukee, Wisc.; a brother, J.T. Blackmon of Holly Springs; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Elvis Blackmon Sr., Robert Blackmon and Columbus Blackmon; and a sister, Jennie Hunt.
Pallbearers were Carlos Blackmon, Mario Mosley, Anthony King, Uronde Blackmon, Elvis Blackmon and Cecil Eason. Honorary pallbearers were J.T. Blackmon, Keith Blackmon, Jevon Blackmon, Travis Blackmon, Tyrone Blackmon and Niles Blackmon.
Earl Douglas Collins Jr.
Earl Douglas Collins Jr., 66, of New Albany, died May 9 at his home. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of Jehova Witness Kingdom Hall.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on May 13 at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in West Tennessee National Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn.
He leaves five daughters, Monique Marks of Beloit, Wisc., Mercia Smith, Marchelle Luster of Rockford, Ill., Phyllis Williams, Charlotte Collins Roman of Jackson; four sons, Gary Collins, Randy Collins of Beloit, Wisc., Earl Collins III of Janesville, Wisc., Michael Collins of Jackson; his stepmother, Lourie Collins of New Albany; two sisters, Pauline Bannister of Beloit, Wisc, and Debrah Collins of St. Louis, Mo; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Patricia Ann Young Fletcher
Patricia Ann Young Fletcher, 59, of Byhalia, died May 7, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She attended Abundant Grace Ministries.
A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. May 13 at Brantley Funeral Home Chapel in Olive Branch.
She leaves a daughter, Pattie Fortune; three sons, Tommy Ray Henderson, David Wayne Henderson and Randall James Young; three brothers, Henry Jackson Fair, Mark A. Lambert and Glen Henry Fair; eight grandchildren; and her “significant other,” Mike Fletcher.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Margaret O’Dell Hogan
Margaret O’Dell Hogan, 80, of Holly Springs, died May 11, 2006 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was a member of Red Banks Baptist Church, owner of Margaret’s Fabrics and a retired merchant.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 16 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Red Banks Cemetery.
She leaves a son, Emerald O. Alsup of Holly Springs; a brother, Billy McAlexander of Potts Camp; a sister, Patrilla Bailey of West Monroe, Ill.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Anne Marie Kelly, 49, of Hickory Flat, died May 9, 2006 at her home.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on May 12 at Ashland Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves two sons, John Michael Kelly, Brian Kelly, both of Southaven; a daughter, Lindsay Kelly of Hickory Flat; a brother, John Holaday of Jackson; two sisters, Sheri Nicholas of Memphis, Tenn., Jean Hodge of Southaven; and two grandchildren.
