Regina L. Butler Taylor, 24, of Memphis, Tenn., died Jan. 28, 2012.
Services were held at 12 noon on Feb. 4 at St. Jude MB Church. Burial was in New Park Cemetery. McGhee & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her mother, Rita D. Duncan; and father, James Taylor; two daughters, D’Kyra Latrice Butler, Autumn D’Cole Hall; three sisters, LaQuita R. Butler, Willean Y. Duncan, DeAngela D. Williams; three brothers, Donald C. Williams, William D. Duncan, Darrin D. Butler.
David Lee Todd Sr.
David Lee Todd Sr., 64, of Red Banks, died Jan. 31, 2012, at his home. He was a Baptist, a construction worker, an Army veteran of Vietnam. He received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 7 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Carey Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Tony Roberts officiated.
He leaves his wife, Pearlie Todd; two sons, David Todd Jr. (Jennifer) of Holly Springs, Rodney Todd of Red Banks; two daughters, Lisa Ince (Jeff) of Lakeland, Tenn., Misty Michelle Todd of Red Banks; two brothers, Billy Walker Todd of Clinton, Ernest Todd of Red Banks; a sister, Letra Malone of Oxford; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Shelby Lynn Todd.
Erma Dale Boxley Warren
Erma Dale Boxley Warren, 54, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 2, 2012, at Alliance HealthCare System. She was a member of Pleasant Grove MB Church in Red Banks.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 11 at Union Valley MB Church in Red Banks. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. S.A. Phillips will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, James H. Warren; four children, Takelia Warren, Telly Warren, Angell Warren, James Edward Warren, all of Holly Springs; three sisters, Margaret Woodard, Louise Smith, Cora Warren, all of Holly Springs; and two brothers, David Boxley of Victoria, Ira Boxley of Holly Springs.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Boxley.
Oneta B. Arnold
Oneta B. Arnold, 87, of Tate County, died Feb. 16, 2012. She was a hair stylist in Indianapolis, Ind., for a number of years and head pastry chef at Marriott Inn. She was a faithful member of the Women’s Missionary League.
Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs. Rev. Byron C. Barnes officiated.
She leaves a son, James. L. Arnold, twin daughters, Dorothy Baker and Delores (Troy) McClendon; four sisters, Gladys Liggins, Fairsteen Jennings, Vallie G. Liggins, Herdisteine (Booker) Gregory; two brothers, Nalvis (Bunice) Freeman, Odis G. Freeman; and ten grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Baker, two brothers, Charley and Lee Boyce; and two sisters, Erma and Levester.
James Earl “Chubby” Bell Sr.
James Earl “Chubby” Bell Sr., 52, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 25, 2012 at his home. He was a member of Pleasant Grove MB Church in Red Banks and the Ruff Riders 4-Wheel Club. He was a self-employed carpenter.
Visitation will be March 2, 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home, with family present from 6-7 p.m. and March 3, at Rust College Doxey Auditorium from 10-10:55 a.m.

He leaves his wife, Errin Greer Bell; four children, LaKeisha Bowen of Holly Springs, James Bell Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Erik Bell, Emit Bell, both of Holly Springs; his mother, Frankie King Bell of Holly Springs; two sisters, Lela Dukes of Holly Springs, Emma Jean Young of Victoria; five brothers, Columbus Bell of Oxford, Kenneth Bell, Mark Bell, Freddie Bell, all of Holly Springs, Timothy Dukes of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Columbus Hale.
Martha S. Boatwright
Martha S. Boatwright, 78, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 24, 2012 at Christopher’s Personal Care Home.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 27 at First Baptist Church of Holly Springs, where she was a member. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Bro. Milton Whatley officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves three sons, Eddie Boatwright Jr. (Nancy), Philip Boatwright (Prentis), both of Holly Springs, Anthony Boatwright of Oxford; a brother, David “Nub” Strickland of Holly Springs; two sisters, Mary Ann Wheeler, Virginia Walker, both of Holly Springs; and four grandchildren.
Freddie Odell “Sis” Strickland Bogard
Freddie Odell “Sis” Strickland Bogard, 66, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 25, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was a member of Shiloh MB Church in Ashland, the church choir and usher president, first lady of Shiloh MB Church and Spring Hill MB Church and a member of Heroines of Jericho Court #38. She was a child care provider at Slayden Baptist Church Daycare.
Visitation will be March 2, 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home and March 3, at the church, from 10-10:55 a.m.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on March 3 at Samuel Chapel MB Church in Ashland, with burial in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. Rev. Houston Evans will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, Rev. L.G. Bogard; two daughters, Tabitha Bogard of Holly Springs, Tonetta Marion of Potts Camp; two sons, Thaddeus Smith, Anthony Faulkner, both of Holly Springs; three sisters, Juanita Bogard, Ernice Elliott, both of Ashland, Sylvia Cleveland of Memphis, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Jane Gordon, Jerry Strickland and Jimmy Strickland.
Dale Potts Hollingsworth
Ruby Dale (Potts) Hollingsworth, 93, of Potts Camp, died Feb. 27, 2012 at Sunshine Health Care, Inc., in Pontotoc. The widow of L.D. Hollingsworth, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Potts Camp, a community correspondent for The South Reporter for approximately 30 years, a known genealogist for the area, author of a book “Memories of Potts Camp on the Old Pontotoc Trail,” and great-great-granddaughter of Col. Erasmus and Elizabeth Brownlee Potts, the first settlers of Potts Camp.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 29 at United Funeral Home in New Albany with visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Potts Camp Cemetery.
She leaves two sons, Jimmy L. Hollingsworth (Martha) of Tupelo, Dr. Dan Potts Hollingsworth (Elizabeth) of Demorest, Ga.; a daughter, Betty Hollingsworth Greer (David) of the Cornersville community; nine grandchildren: Vickie Lea Winter (Earl), David Hollingsworth (Teresa); Sonya Kidd (Greg); Tracy Pipkin (Bobby); David Greer, Jr. (Amy), Dr. Liesa Harte, Luke Hollingsworth, Clark Hollingsworth, and Jake Hollingsworth; and 10 great-grandchildren: Skylar Brooke Griffin, David Greer III, Mary Greer, Hannah Greer, Lilah Shepherd, Julia Blond, Mireille Blond, Olivia Blond, Nathan Blond and Lewis Blond.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Benton and Mae Harris Potts; brothers, James Potts, Charles L. Potts, and Bennie Potts; and a sister Ann Potts Hill.
