Carlos Madrigal, 28, of Blue Mountain, died April 11, 2013, in Kemper County. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Benton County and a welder for Contract Fabricators, Inc.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on April 14 at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery in Benton County. Bro. Michael Baker and Bro. Randy Hamilton officiated.
He leaves his parents, Gustavo Madrigal of Ripley, Lisa Madrigal of Blue Mountain, Gloria Campanur of North Carolina; two sisters, Norma Madrigal, Melisa Madrigal, both of North Carolina; a brother, Felipe Madrigal of Blue Mountain.
Pallbearers were Keith May, Chris Weatherall, Tony Hudson, Casey Jemison, Antonio Noguez and Kelly Stacks.
Augustus Tuggles
Augustus Tuggles, 73, died April 12, 2013, in Memphis, Tenn.
Services will be held at 12 noon on April 20 at Independent Tyro Baptist Church in Senatobia. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Bledsoe Funeral Home in Jackson, Tenn., will be in charge of arrangements.
He leaves two brothers, Henry Tuggles, James Tuggles, both of Holly Springs.
Lacy Harden Tunstall
Lacy Harden Tunstall, 52, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Marshall County, died April 6, 2013, at Methodist Hospice Home in Memphis. She was a member of Wilkins Chapel CME Church and disabled.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on April 13 at Mt. Gilead CME Church in Holly Springs. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves a daughter, Jameika Tasamin Tunstall of Memphis; her mother, Lillie Mae Walker Harden of Holly Springs; a sister, Lillie Thomas of Aurora, Ill.; six brothers, Gene Autry Harden of Atlanta, Ga., Robert Earl Harden, Glen Harden, both of Chulahoma, Leon Harden, Lee Andrew Harden, Charles Harden, all of Aurora; and three grandchildren.
Iona Vinson
Iona Vinson, 80, of Byhalia, died April 8, 2013, at The Med. She was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Oxford.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on April 13 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Bluff Springs Cemetery. Bro. Tony Watkins officiated.
She leaves her husband, Bro. Adam Vinson; her son, Larry Vance Vinson; her daughter, Dianne Vinson; three brothers, Chester Gordon, Buddy Gordon, Lloyd Gordon; her sister, Dorothy Jo Gordon; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Vinson Allen.
Fay Loraine Beckham
Fay Loraine Beckham, 80, of Byhalia, died June 7, 2013, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was the widow of Cecil B. Beckham, a member of Meadow Brook Baptist Church and a factory worker.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on June 12 at Holly Springs Funeral Home. Burial was in Memorial Park South Woods in Memphis. Bro. Oscar Geeslin officiated.
She leaves two sons, Steven Beckham, Gary Beckham Sr., both of Byhalia; three daughters, Mona Culver Sulaiman of Waterford, Dorrie K. Johnson, Tina Haley, both of Byhalia; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deborah Lynn Bradford
Deborah Lynn Bradford, 52, died June 2, 2013, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She had worked in child care and was a homemaker.
A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. on June 8 at Brookside Baptist Church in Olive Branch. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford was in charge of local arrangements.
She leaves two daughters, Brandy Moss of Byhalia, Darlene Richards Nass of Red Banks; her father, Glenn Halley of Red Banks; a sister, Glenda Long of Byhalia; four brothers, Michael Halley of Byhalia, John Halley of Memphis, Tenn., Glenn Halley Jr. of Red Banks, Glenn Halley of Collierville, Tenn.; five grandchildren and her fiance’, Glen Maxwell and his children, Amber, Angie, Jessie, J.W. and Jacob.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Bradford.

John Gatewood Jr.
John “Buck John” Gatewood Jr., 71, of Holly Springs, died June 4, 2013, at his home. He was a former member of Vigil Lights singing group, a member of the church mass choir, a member of male chorus and he sang in the Carrier Gospel Choir. He was a retired laborer with Carrier Inc. in Collierville, Tenn., after 31 years.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on June 9 at Hudsonville CME Church, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Elder Bobby G. Wilson officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves three daughters, Janeise Thompson, Sharon Shields, both of Holly Springs, Precious Gatewood of Memphis, Tenn.; three sons, Milton Raimey of Memphis, Lee Cedric Gatewood of Holly Springs, Barry Gorman of Olive Branch; seven sisters, Dora Jean Summage of Omaha, Neb., Nettie Mae Jordan, Earnestine Lewis, Mary Butler, all of Alexander, Ark., Lillie B. Watson, Louise Crawford, Linda Walker, all of Forrest City, Ark.; three brothers, Thomas Preston Gatewood of Little Rock, Ark., Edward Gatewood of Forrest City, Tom Gatewood of Alexander; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Rev. Gilbert LeSure
Rev. Gilbert LeSure, 94, of Holly Springs, died June 6, 2013, at Baptist Hospital-North MS in Oxford. He was a minister, a member of the Masonic Lodge and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired laborer with Wall Doxey State Park.
Visitation will be June 14 from 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home with family visitation from 6-7 p.m. and on June 15 from 10-10:55 a.m. at the church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on June 15 at Mt. Peel MB Church in Holly Springs, where he was a member. Burial will be in Mt. Zion CME Church Cemetery. Rev. Rondias Cox will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Dallis Elliott LeSure; nine daughters, Rene L. LeSure Hunt (Ronnie), Arlene LeSure Braddock (Edgar), both of Falkner, Aslee LeSure Belfour (Larry) of Tupelo, Barbara Jean LeSure Levy (Sam) of Woodbridge, Va., Bonnie LeSure Wells of Holly Springs, Linder Lee Williams (James) of Aurora, Ill., Jennie LeSure of Los Angeles, Calif., Victoria Smith and Lorraine LeSure Sanders, both of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three sons, Dennis LeSure (Lenora) of Holly Springs, Eddie Frank LeSure (Mary) of Tunica, Joe Louis LeSure of Aurora; a brother, Arthur LeSure of California; 33 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelby LeSure; son-in-law, Douglas Smith; siblings Roy LeSure, Lucieal LeSure Holt, Mary Ann LeSure Jeffries, Savanah Georgia LeSure Thomas, Mattie LeSure Bogard, Joe C. LeSure.
