John Edward Feathers, 82, of Byhalia, died May 17, 2010 at Baptist Collierville Hospital. He was Pentecostal and a farmer.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on May 19 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Rice Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Clifford Waldrop, Bro. Billy Watkins, Bro. Frank Feathers and Bro. Paul Grady officiated.
He leaves his wife, Annie Mae Culver Feathers; three sons, Gene Feathers of Vancleave, Toby Feathers of Byhalia, Stanley Feathers of Waterford; a daughter, Jeanette Gibson of Byhalia; two brothers, Frank Feathers of Holly Springs, Oscar Feathers of Byhalia; five sisters, Pauline McCallum of Memphis, Tenn., Margaret Holmes of Tupelo, Gussie Sowell of Pontotoc, Bessie Shoffner, Donnie Sue Drewery, both of Hamilton, Ala.; 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Ananias Garmon
Ananias Garmon, 58, of Red Banks, died May 19, 2010 at his home. He was a laborer with Best Built Lumber Company in Byhalia.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 22 at Mt. Newell MB Church in Red Banks. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Thurman Norman officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves three children, Jose Smith of Byhalia, Ananias Michael Smith of Memphis, Tenn., Sharon Rubbin of Red Banks; three sisters, Bernice Tate of Chicago, Ill., Juanita Smith, Brenda Garmon, both of Memphis, Tenn.; four brothers, Eddie Garmon, Odell Garmon, Artis Garmon, Alonzo Garmon, all of Memphis, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mary Graves
Mary Graves, 83, of Ripley, died May 18, 2010 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. She was the widow of G.F. Graves. She was a member of Springdale Baptist Church and retired from PEP Industries in Ripley.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 21 at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Randy Hamilton and Bro. Stacy McKee officiated.
She leaves two daughters, Mary Joyce Souders of Tok, Alaska, Diane Williams of Hollister, Mo.; a son, Randy Graves of Ripley; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by two sisters and five brothers.
Pallbearers were Jim Grady, Jason Grady, Bobby Graves, Bryan Graves, Randy Lee Sanford, Robert Sanford, Jacob Edge and Heath Hall.

Arthur D. Hannah
Arthur D. Hannah, 83, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died May 17, 2010 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a World War II Army veteran and a retired laborer with OK Tire in Holly Springs.
Services were held at 12:30 p.m. on May 26 at Pleasant Grove MB Church in Red Banks, where he was a member. Burial was in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis. Rev. S.A. Phillips officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Lillie B. Smith Hannah; six daughters, Margie Toson, Tammy Starks, Dawn Hannah, Felicia Davis, all of Memphis, Tenn., Brenda Vaughn, Karen Hannah, both of Madison, Wisc.; four sons, Gary Hannah, Kenny Hannah, Timothy Hanna, Radney Hannah, all of Memphis, Tenn.; four sisters, Tommy Jean Glover of Chicago, Ill., Maxine Freeman, Annie Rice, both of Memphis, Tenn., Patricia Hannah of Holly Springs; a brother, Shirley Hannah of Holly Springs; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny Joe Hannah, Jessie Arthur Smith.
Lula Mae Riley Hardaway
Lula Mae Riley Hardaway, 78, of Byhalia, died May 12, 2010 at Baptist Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. She was the widow of Johnny Hardaway. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Holly Springs and a retired school teacher with ICS Headstart Center.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on May 17 at 2 p.m. on May 17 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves six daughters, Brenda Sykes of Byhalia, Gwen Jeffries of Holly Springs, Jerline Tunstall, Betty Neely, both of Olive Branch, Felicia Renault of Charlotte, N.C., Cynthia Butler of Chicago, Ill.; three sons, Johnny Hardaway Jr., Michael Hardaway, Anthony Hardaway, all of Byhalia; five sisters, Dorothy Jones, Linnie Blair, Minnie Wright, all of Byhalia, Ozell White, Helen Hardaway, both of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Curtis Blair and Frank Blair, both of Byhalia; 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Willie Clinard Honer Jr.
Willie Clinard Honer Jr., 54, of Holly Springs, died May 16, 2010 at his home. He was a retired laborer with Custom Link Manufacturing in Byhalia.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on May 20 at Pleasant Grove MB Church in Red Banks, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. S.A. Phillips officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves two sisters, Pearlie Honer of Byhalia, Linzora Honer of Pontiac, Mich.; and three brothers, Earnest Honer of Red Banks, Clyde Honer of Byhalia, Robert Honer of Holly Springs.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Boxley.
Pallbearers were Michael Smith, Gary Wheeler, Robert Smith Jr., Lawrence Wooten, Michael Turnage and Gregory Hall. Honorary pallbearers were Bryson Honer, Robert Smith Jr., Antwan Honer, Jamal Honer, Earnest Honer and Clyde Honer.

Blanche Elaine Jarrett, 68, of Potts Camp, died May 21, 2010 at her home. She was a member of Potts Camp Methodist Church and employed with Thomas & Betts.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on May 23 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery. Bro. Chuck Fowler officiated.
She leaves her husband, Billy Joe Jarrett; a son, Jason Jarrett of Potts Camp; two daughters, Jennifer Feathers of Myrtle, Carrier Jarrett of Potts Camp; her mother, Elizabeth S. Norwood of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Marshall Norwood, Danny Norwood, both of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Glenda Destefanis, Ann Gilmore, both of Memphis; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Alex Allen, Clevie Feathers, Dale Walls, Billy Erwin, Will Huff, Billy Huff, Danny Titsworth, Gary Mynatt.
Ecclesiates Sylvester Martin
Ecclesiates Sylvester Martin, 69, of Holly Springs, died May 11, 2010 at his home. He was a retired maintenance worker at the County Village Apartments in Holly Springs.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on May 25 at Yarbrough Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Christian officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves two children, Teresa Rounds of Memphis, Tenn., Kevin Dewayne Harris of Holly Springs; Marvin Harris of Newport News, Va., whom he reared; a sister, Annie S. LeSueur of Byhalia; a brother, Johnny Lee Martin of Memphis, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were nephews and cousins.
