Riley Nelson Jr.
Riley (June Bug) Nelson Jr., 51, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died Jan. 16, 2008 at his home. He was a delivery truck driver for Palazo in Memphis for 20 years.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 19 at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Otis Smith officiated.
He leaves four sisters, Mary Lewis of Holly Springs, Annie Mae Nelson of Ashland, Judy Webster of Memphis, Tenn., Minnie Harmon of Jackson; and three brothers, Lonnie Nelson of Flint, Mich., Larry Nelson of Holly Springs, Robert Harmon of Chicago, Ill.
Pallbearers were Larry Nelson, Lonnie Nelson, Tracy Nelson, Tony Bohanna, and Willie Nelson Jr.
Rhetta Lou Page
Rhetta Lou Alvis Page, 85, of Olive Branch, formerly of Potts Camp died Jan. 16, 2008 at St. Francis Nursing Home. She was the widow of Frank Page.
She leaves a son, Charles Harmon of Jackson; and two grandchildren.
Clarence Rhea
Clarence Rhea, 89, of Byhalia, died Jan. 15, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a Baptist, a member of National Distillery and an Army veteran of World War II.
Services were held at 7 p.m. on Jan. 18 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Gary Joyner officiated.
He leaves a son, Ronald Rhea of Byhalia; a brother, Travis Rhea of Sanger, Calif.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pearl Whitlock
Pearl Stockard Whitlock, 84, of Holly Springs, died Jan. 16, 2008 at Alliance HealthCare System. She was a member of Newell Chapel CME Church, Victoria, a missionary, a church stewardess, a member of Ministers Spouses Organization and Hebron Homemakers Club.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 21 at Anderson Chapel CME Church. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Bishop Thomas L. Brown officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, Rev. Quenton H. Whitlock; three daughters, Ruth M. Parker of Victoria, Linda Wilson of Bassfield, Judy Jones of Nashville, Tenn.; three sons, Rev. Quenton H. Whitlock Jr. of St. Louis, Mo., William Whitlock of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Jasper Whitlock of Holly Springs; a sister, Mable Whitlock of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Lee Stockard of Holly Springs; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Vincent Parker, Terronn Whitlock, Quenton Whitlock III, David Nicholas, Edward Wyley, Randy Butler, Ronald Thomas and Lionel Moore.
Joseph Webb Brame
Joseph Webb Brame, 51, of Madison, formerly of Holly Springs, died Aug. 21, 2008 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.
Services were held on August 23 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland.
He leaves his wife, Melanie; his two daughters, Rachel Brame Curbo and Olivia Brame; stepchildren, Matt and Dana Dobel; his brother, Bill Brame; and his sisters, Ann Brame and Cynthia Heard.

Tammy Victor Curtis
Tammy Victor Curtis, 46, of Lamar, died Aug. 24, 2008 at Alliance HealthCare Systems. She was a member of Harris Chapel and an assistant with Complete Lawn Service.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 26 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. William Kemp officiated.
She leaves her husband, Tommy Curtis; her mother, Nellann Farmer of Byhalia; and daughter, Tracy Curtis of Moscow, Tenn.

Jerelene Davis, 50, of Como, died Aug. 15, 2008 in Memphis, Tenn.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 23 at Thyatira Family Life Center. Burial was in Carter Memorial Cemetery in Thyatira. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, Maurice Davis; three daughters, Kamilla Davis, Brittany Davis, both of Como, Sertica Washington of Jacksonville, Fla.; six sons, Chadwick Davis, Gerrod Brown, both of Como, Antonio Davis of Coldwater, Demarco Davis, Christopher Davis, both of Holly Springs; her parents, Cleveland Jones, Ethel Jones; five sisters, Classie Mack, Cora Jones, Genise Jones, all of Senatobia; Alice Jones, Vuanita McArthur, both of Memphis, Tenn.; six brothers, David Avant of Senatobia, Willie Jones of Como, Jessie Jones of Greenwood, Cleveland Jones Jr. of Como, Jaye Darrell Jones of Atlanta, Ga., Kenya Jones of Memphis, Tenn.; and 11 grandchildren.

George Duncan died recently.

Thomas Gammons, 52, of Lamar, died Aug. 22, 2008 at Baptist Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. He was a Baptist and a construction worker.
