Ellis Glover, 67, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 5, 2008 at Baptist Hospital North MS in Oxford. He was a church deacon, male choir president, a church custodian, a member of Powell Chapel Masonic Lodge #339 and laborer/paint mixer with Holly Springs Brick & Tile.
Services were held at 12 noon on Nov. 11 at Hopewell No. 2 MB Church in Hudsonville, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Alonzo Johnson officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Susie R. Nunnally Glover; two daughters, Margie Richmond of Lamar, Patricia Johnson of Holly Springs; a son, Terry L. Glover of Holly Springs; four sisters, Rosie Crumb, Barbara Snow, both of Hudsonville, Jennie Washington of Holly Springs, Pauline Lewellyn of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Andrew Glover of Holly Springs, Willie B. Glover of Hudsonville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Lue Pearley Tucker Harris
Lue Pearley Tucker Harris, 63, of Lamar, died Nov. 1, 2008 at Baptist Memphis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was a former choir president and youth choir president, member of church Missionary Society and a retired factory worker with Sunbean in Holly Springs.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Sand Hill MB Church in Lamar, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Etoy Bogard officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, Tom L. Harris of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Teresia Franklin of Olive Branch, Janice McKinnie of Killeen, Tx.; her mother, Sarah Tucker of Lamar; two sisters, Sharon Readers, Nielene Jeffries, both of Lamar; four brothers, Marvin Glass of Holly Springs, Herman Glass of Aurora, Ill., David Glass of Lamar, Bradley Glass of Ashland; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Willie B. Mason, Jarmarcus Sanders, Marvino Hamer, Terry Sanders, Jarmaral Sanders, Deon Beard, Alex Tate and Tilmon Hampton. Honorary pallbearers were David Glass Sr., David Glass Jr., Bradley Glass Jr., Anthony Readers, Steven B. Glass Sr., Bradley Glass Sr., Marvin Glass, Velve M. McKinnie, Ricardo McKinnie, Velve L. McKinnie Jr., Sylvester Tucker and Herman Glass.
Pamela Lester Heck
Pamela (Pam) Lester Heck, 72, of Bartlett, Tenn., died Oct. 3, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital - Bartlett. She was born in Holly Springs. She attended Southwest College and graduated from Methodist Nursing School. She worked for many years as an RN for St. Francis Hospital.
Services were held at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial was in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery
She leaves her husband, William Heck; a son, Jason Heck and step-daughter, Patricia; sister, Nancy Tacy; brother, Ned Lester and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters Nina L. Nelson, Dora L. Bangs, Jane L. Woods; and a brother, Pat Lester.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
Helen Magee
Helen Magee, 67, of Byhalia, died Nov. 9, 2008 at Baptist Hospital-DeSoto. She was an interior decorator and dedicated member of Abundant Grace Church in Memphis, Tenn.
Services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 12 at Memorial Park. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
She leaves her husband, Houston Magee; two daughters, Tammy Saint Summers of Byhalia; Sandy Saint Gorman of Memphis, Tenn.; two sons, Thomas Saint and Jarrett Magee both of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Wayne Johnson of Southaven; three sisters, Bonnie Beasley of Memphis, Betty Deckelman of Olive Branch, Maxine Cates of Memphis; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughters Pam Saint and Stacy Saint.

Sarah Henderson Jones, 80, died Nov. 9, 2008. She was a member of Emory Independent Methodist Church for 18 years.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 12 at Brantley Funeral Home Chapel in Olive Branch. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, George E. Jones; children Paula Moore, Judy Hartledge, Greg Jones; a brother, Jack Henderson; sister, Hazel Koch; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Emory Independent Methodist Church.

Charles H. Morgan, 69, of Lamar, died Nov. 9, 2008 at N. MS Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a carpenter.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Rice Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Don Wilson officiated.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Louise Wilson Morgan; four sons, Barry Morgan of Lamar, Larry Morgan of Hernando, Charles Morgan Jr. of Ashland, Brant Morgan of Falkner; a daughter, Vickie Weatherly of Falkner; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a baby girl, Morgan.

Gladys Cloverett Pegues Young White, 75, of Lakeland, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died Nov. 1, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett in Bartlett, Tenn. She was the widow of Henry L. White. She was a member of Helen Longstreet Sub Group of United Methodist Women and a retired nurse aide in private homes.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 8 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tenn., where she was a member. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Kenneth R. Edmondson officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves three daughters, Chandra Nailing of Lakeland, Tenn., Verna Sparks, Maggie Pegues, both of Ellendale, Ga.; three sons, Robert Hill of Georgia, Voss Odell Nailing of Memphis, Tenn., Larry Pegues of Dallas, Tx.; two sisters, Lucy Hamilton of Holly Springs, Ether Jones of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Chester Young of Omaha, Neb.; 22 grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews, Frederick Pegues, Joseph Jessie, Vernon Griggs, Dantay Hill, Pierre Tompkins, Sebatian Pegues, Vernzarious Jessie, Leslie Young and Antavious Hill. Honorary pallbearers were Centenary United Men.
