Billy Wayne Britt, 60, of Potts Camp, died March 16, 2006 at Baptist Hospital in Oxford. He was a retired serviceman with Britt Mobile Home in Oxford.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on March 18 at Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Potts Camp, where he was a member. Rev. Steve Wilson and Rev. John Vazquez officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Waller Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Francis Britt; a daughter, Mandy Lane Britt West of Potts Camp; a sister, Wilma Jenkins of Oxford; and two granddaughters.
Leola Wilson Carter
Leola Wilson Carter, 60, of Holly Springs, died March 12, 2006 at Alliance HealthCare.
Services were held at 12 noon on March 18 at Anderson Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs. Rev. Willie Hoey, eulogist. Burial was in Yarbrough Chapel Church Cemetery in Holly Springs. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, Joe W. Carter of Forest Park, Ill.; two sons, Christopher M. Carter of New Albany, Byron D. Wilson of Holly Springs; three stepchildren, Anthony Smith, Maurice Smith, both of Chattanooga, Tenn., Florine Brooks of Jackson; three brothers, Lonzo Wilson, Leroy Wilson, Lennon Wilson, all of Holly Springs; a sister, Anna Marie Robinson of Chicago, Ill.; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a son, Juanes Wilson; a sister, Arnetta Thomas; and a brother, Tommie Lee Wilson.
Brandi Jo Fox
Brandi Jo Fox, 20, of Horn Lake, died March 12, 2006. She was a server at Grand Replays in Robinsonville.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on March 16 at Hernando Funeral Home Chapel.
She leaves her mother, Denise Latchic of Horn Lake; her father and stepmother, Ron and Judi Garner Fox of Olive Branch; three sisters, Ronden Fox of Southaven, Nanette Nelson of Cypress, Calif., April Garner of Memphis, Tenn.; three brothers, Rook Latchic of Marino Valley, Calif., Rick Latchic of Chino, Calif., Jason Garner of Memphis, Tenn.; grandparents, Homer and Sue Fox of Billings, Mo., Elmer Latchic of Alliance, Ohio, AQ and Bernice Lemons of Potts Camp; and a great-grandmother Arena Johnson of Billings, Mo.
Steven Paul Gysendorfer
Steven Paul Gysendorfer, 59, of Potts Camp, died March 11, 2006 at his home. He was a member of the U.S. Army. He was a sheet metal apprentice in Riverside, Calif., and later moved to Potts Camp, and was an auto body mechanic in Memphis, Tenn., and Holly Springs.
Memorial mass was held at 1 p.m. on March 17 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Holly Springs. Mass of Resurrection was celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Guttenberg, Iowa on March 21 at 11 a.m. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Guttenberg. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife of 32 years, Betty C. (Kata) Gysendorfer; a brother, Joseph Gysendorfer of Hollister, Calif.; and a sister, Susan Hamilton of Phoenix, Ariz.
Mary Carolyn Haines
Mary Carolyn Haines, 82, of Byhalia, died March 18, 2006 in Memphis, Tenn. She was the widow of Perry Haines, a Methodist and a waitress.
Burial was in Eastwood Cemetery in Union City, Tenn. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves two sons, James Patterson of Red Banks, Jerry Patterson of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Dan Smith of Union City, Tenn.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Carolyn Hardin
Carolyn Hardin, 49, of Byhalia, died March 9, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on March 16 at Newell Chapel CME Church in Byhalia. Rev. Spencer Mathis and pastor Rev. Harris Bronson officiated. Burial was in Newell Chapel Church Cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, John Hardin of Byhalia; a son, DeWayne Tunstall of Byhalia; two brothers, Percy Tunstall Jr., David Tunstall, both of Victoria; and four sisters, Clara Miller of Laws Hill, Annette Lucas, Barbara Gary, Angela Tunstall, all of Victoria.
Gary Wayne Holtzlander
Gary Wayne Holtzlander, 56, formerly of Columbus, died March 17, 2006 at Baptist Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. He was a US Army veteran and worked as an electronics technician specializing in video game repair.
Memorial services were held at 2:30 p.m. on March 25 at The Church At Arrowhead in Glendale, Ariz., where he was a member. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery in Pine Bluff, Ark. Pastor Mark Kendall officiated. Arrangements were by Hansen Mortuary in Phoenix.
He leaves four children, Candy L. Bleecker of Peoria, Ariz., Steven W. Holtzlander of Phoenix, Sonya L. VonDran of Batesville, Rickey W. Holtzlander of Lake Worth, Tx.; a brother, Charles R. Holtzlander of Columbus, and eight grandchildren. His large surrogate family included friends in north Mississippi, especially Kathryn Shaw of Holly Springs and the late G.I. Shaw.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on March 16 at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Selmer, Tenn. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, Ronald Helwig; a son, Ronald Stephen Coleman of Memphis, Tenn.; three daughters, Sharon Poskey of Anahauc, Tx., Linda Uselton of Whiteville, Tenn., Brenda Morse of Collierville, Tenn.; three brothers, Howard North, Charles North, both of Portland, Ore., Bill North of Tupelo; a sister, Emma Jean Petty of Selmer, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
