Mr. Alford was a native of Picayune and was a carpenter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nicholson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Everett and Sara Dorothy Wade Crawford.

BILOXI - Richard "Dick" Cross, 69, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, in Biloxi.
Mr. Cross was born in Mitchell, S.D., and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast for 19 years. He was retired from the Army where he served in military intelligence. He was the president of the Jackson County Literacy Council.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Donald Cross.
Survivors include his wife, Dell Cross of Biloxi; two daughters, Yvonne Marie Anderson of Columbus, Ga., and Eva Christine McCue of Murphysboro, Tenn.; two sisters, Juanita Lang of Elmira, Ore., and Sis Vanderhule of Huron, S.D.; and three grandchildren.

Taymon Terrel was born May 25, 1996, in Gulfport.
Survivors include his father, Terrel Gordon of Moss Point; his mother and stepfather, Aervon and Malana Salters of Pensacola; a sister, Zarris Gordon; his grandparents, Gloria Cain and Chris Hall, both of Gulfport, and the Rev. and Mrs. James Wells of Moss Point; his great-grandparents, the Rev. Mr. Hornby was born in England and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since August 1999. He was a retired electrical engineer.

Mr. Lee was a native of Picayune and was retired as a locomotive engineer for Phelps Dodge Corporation. He was an Army veteran and a Baptist.

Janet Sue Thomson
WAYNESVILLE, Mo. - Janet Sue Thomson of Waynesville, daughter of Edward Harold Vandergriff and Maxine (Gladden) Vandergriff Norman, was born December 27, 1940, in Waynesville, Missouri.
Janet grew up in Waynesville and graduated from high school in 1959. As a young girl, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized in the Deerlick Baptist Church.
For 17-1/2 years, Janet worked as a pharmacy technician at the K-Mart store in D'Iberville, Mississippi. She became medically disabled in August, 1993. She was a member of the Lighthouse Fellowship Full Gospel Church in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Janet received many awards and trophies for her beautiful ballroom dancing. She was an excellent seamstress and published a cookbook.
After her long battle with cancer, Janet went home to be with her Lord the morning of March 30, 2000, at her parents' home in Columbia, Missouri, at the age of 49 years, 3 months and 3 days.
She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her mother and stepfather, Maxine and Rev. Frank Norman of Columbia; one son, Timothy Thomson of Biloxi, Mississippi; three daughters, Tamera Thomson of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Melody Harris of Houston, Texas, and Darla Swiatowy of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; one sister, Nora Doreen Smith of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Sherrie, Shaun and Sarah Thomson, Angela and Jason Sapp and Felecia, Shane and Seth Swiatowy, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Harold Vandergriff; her brother, Edward Lawrence Vandergriff; her maternal grandparents, Seth and Myrtle Gladden and paternal grandparents, Everett Augustus Vandergriff and Elma (Carmack) Vandergriff Foster.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, in Deerlick Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Norman officiating. A tape of Janet's daughter, Melody singing, "Wind Beneath My Wings" was played. "Beyond the Sunset" was also played. Her daughter, Darla read a poem. Oliver Brilhante, Sammie Cooper, Daryl Norman, Jason Sapp, Mike Swiatowy and Louis Tokar served as escorts.
Burial was in Deerlick Cemetery, Pulaski County. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Young was a native and longtime resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was a 17 year resident of Memphis where he was employed by Electrical Contractors, Inc. At the time of his death he was working in Aberdeen Wash., on the Paulalee Dredge for Dutra Construction of California. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 3.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie and Jerry Lundy.

Mr. Moody was a native of Picayune and was the owner of Toby's Little Lodge in Lafayette, La.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Blanford Moody; a daughter, Elizabeth Moody; a brother, Marvin Moody; and a sister, Ellen Ford.

Mrs. O'Keefe was the former queen of Les Masque Carnival Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gen. John A. O'Keefe.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Obrimski of Garrett Park, Md.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

PASS CHRISTIAN - Mrs. Angeline C. Singer, 80, of Pass Christian, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, in Long Beach.
Mrs. Singer was born in Chicago and had been a Coast resident for about four years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church in Pineville. She was a retired manufacturing inspector.
Mrs. Singer was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Singer; a sister, Mary Cervenka; and a brother, Frank Goryl.
Survivors include a sister, Anna Lipovich and a brother, Josef Goryl, both of the Czechoslovak Republic.
She was the beloved aunt of Maryann and Larry Parrish.

Survivors include a son, Robert Wayne Stockstill of Louisville, Miss.; a daughter, Mary Edith Garrett of Carthage, Texas; a brother, J.B. Fleming of Picayune; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
