Services were held at 11 a.m. on January 19 at Providence MB Church with burial in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. R.B. Hardaway officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She leaves her mother Chiquita Leshay Daugherty of Holly Springs; her father, Lavengia Howell of Holly Springs; a sister, Dominique Howell of Holly Springs; two brothers, Courtney Daugherty, Courtavius Daugherty, both of Holly Springs; grandmothers, Everlena Long, Augusta Williamson, both of Holly Springs; great-grandmothers, Joella Howell, Doris Williamson, both of Holly Springs; and grandfathers, Carl Rucker, Bobby Williamson, both of Holly Springs. Pallbearers were Shamon Daugherty, Lavandez Howell, Sedric Daugherty, Albert Sims. Honorary pallbearers were Dederick Daughtery, Keffer Daugherty, Kervin Daugherty, Robert Bell, Robert Sims.

MR. JOHN FREEMAN, JR., 91, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, Miss., died January 20, 1999 at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis. The widower of Mrs. Gladys Payne Freeman, he was a retired farmer and school bus driver for Marshall County Schools. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Services were held at 11 a.m. on January 23 at Hudsonville CME Church, where he was a member. Rev. Bobby J. Wilson officiated. Burial was in the Memorial Park Mausoleum in Memphis. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. He leaves three daughters, Gerlean Gunn, Claudia Dent, both of Memphis, Rosie Lee Whitney of Omaha, Neb.; a son, Emrider Freeman of Memphis; a sister, Mellie Tucker of Holly Springs; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Emrider Freeman, Theodore Whitney, Robert Denton, Tavarski Hughes. Honorary pallbearers were Timothy Sims, Glen Whitney, Bufford Wells, Charles Humphries, Jr., Robert Hughes, Cleothis Nevels.

MISS CATRINA RESHAUNA LESURE, 19, of Tupelo, Miss., died January 18, 1999 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A 1997 graduate of Tupelo High School, she was a member of the high school band and a Girl Scout. She was a first year student at Itawamba Community College. Services were held at 2 p.m. on January 23 at Free Branch MB Church in Holly Springs, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Marvin L. Brooks officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She leaves her mother, Carnella LeSure of Tupelo; her father, Mel Davis of Ashland, Miss.; a sister, Jennifer LeSure of Tupelo; two brothers, Anthony LeSure of Tupelo, Desmond Jeffries of Ashland; grandmothers, Lillie Scruggs LeSure of Tupelo, Marie Davis of Ashland; grandfather, Nehemiah LeSure of Ashland; and great-grandmothers, Susie LeSure of Holly Springs, Mary Jane Strickland of Ashland. Honorary pallbearers were David LeSure, Wendell LeSure, Nehemiah LeSure, Jr., Timothy Moore, Desmond Jeffries, Rochaun Welch, Rowland LeSure.

MR. LAZARUS MULL, 57, of Chicago, Ill, formerly of Lamar, Miss., died January 15, 1999 at St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island, Ill. He was a mechanic for American National Cans. Services were held at 12 noon on January 23 at Roberts Chapel CME Church in Slayden, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Anderson Riddle officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Linwood McKinney Mull; a daughter, Theresa Mull of Chicago; two sons, Anthony Mull of Wheeling, Ill., Bernard L. Mull of Chicago; two sisters, Emma Lee Mull of Chicago, Willie Bell Mull of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Tommie Lee Mull of Chicago, Eddie Lee Mull of Memphis; and five grandchildren.

MR. LENNARD TAYLOR, 43, of Victoria, Miss., died January 15, 1999 at his home. He was a construction worker. Services were held at 1 p.m. on January 20 at Newell Chapel CME Church in Victoria, where he was a member. Rev. Spencer Mathis officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. He leaves two aunts who cared for him, Maggie Jones Well, Olivia Jones, both of Victoria; and an uncle who cared for him, Curtis Jones of Victoria. Pallbearers were Allen Wells, Louis Jean Jones, Elton Jones, Steve Reed, Glen Bridgeforth, Dean Bridgeforth, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Fred Jones, Curtis Jones, Jethro Jones, Robert Earl Jones, Willie Louis Mayse, Royce Mayse, Percy Mayse, Boyce Mayse.

MR. FLOYD THOMAS (POP) BERRYHILL, 75, of Potts Camp, Miss., died November 22, 1998 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A member of Cornersville United Methodist Church, he was retired from Buckeye in Memphis. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Services were held at 2 p.m. on November 24 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Cornersville Cemetery. Bro. Ray Daniel officiated. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Jean Berryhill; three sons, James Berryhill of Fountain Inn, S.C., Bobby Berryhill, Terry Berryhill, both of Potts Camp; three daughters, Martha Riley of Potts Camp, Nancy Moncrief of Coldwater, Miss., Becky Pitts of DeKalb, Miss.; two brothers, Auther Berryhill of Memphis, Danny Berryhill of Byhalia; two sisters, Mary Waldrop of Victoria, Miss., Margaret Owens of Stage, Miss.; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Berryhill, Luther Berryhill; and his parents, John and Ida Berryhill.

MRS. LUTISH CAMPBELL, 75, of Lamar, Miss., died July 26, 2000 at her home. She was a member of Sand Hill MB Church in Lamar. Services were held at 12 noon, July 30 at Ashland High School auditorium with burial in the Sand Hill Church cemetery. Rev. Charles Tate officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She leaves her husband, William Tate; four daughters, Doris Evans, Erma Parker, Janice Brown, all of Holly Springs, Betty Williams of Lamar; three sons, S.L. Tate, William Michael Campbell, both of Lamar, Barnett Campbell of Ashland; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were James Mason, Walter Mason, Randy Tate, Morris Beard, Jerry Moore, Willie Bean, Larry Hudson.
