Talmage Ginn

Funeral services for Talmage Ginn, 61, were July 24, 2004, at Silver Creek Baptist Church with Revs. Harold Gartman, Jimmy Smith and Wayne Hall officiating.
Ginn, a resident of Northport, Ala., died July 20, 2004, at Carraway Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala.
He was a sewing machine repairman for several manufacturing companies, a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict; and a member of the Five Points Baptist Church in Northport, Ala.
Ginn was born July 20, 1943, in Tylertown, son of the late Milton Tincy Ginn and Laverne Simmons Ginn, who survives.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Willean Johnson Ginn; one sister, Glenda Hensley; and his step-father, Bob Fountain.
Survivors include his mother, Laverne Ginn Fountain of Magnolia; two sons and their wives, Troy and Annmarrie Ginn of Newton, Ala., and Ben and Alicia Ginn of Jacksonville, Carter officiating.
She died July 21, 2004, at Southwest Regional Medical Center, McComb.
Ms. Robinson was a homemaker.
She was born Nov. 23, 1930, in Darbun, daughter of the late Edmond Cowart and Luzia Mallard.
Survivors include her devoted friend, James Edward Martin of Tylertown; two sons, James Earl Ratcliff of New Orleans and Herbert Washington of Summit; two sisters, Edna McGowan of Foxworth and Charline James of Kokomo; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery with Washington Funeral Home in charge.
Wilson ‘Wilt’ Rowell
Jan. 19, 1955-July 23, 2004
Funeral services for Wilson Laverne “Wilt” Rowell, 49, of Tylertown, were July 26, 2004, at Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton with Rev. W.L. Tullos officiating.
He died July 23, 2004, from injuries received in an auto accident in Cass City, Mich.
Rowell was an electrician and a union member of Local Brotherhood No. 17.
He was born Jan. 19, 1955 at Bogalusa, son of the late Otha Lavon and Dorvine Dykes Rowell. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Susan Detillier.
Survivors include four daughters, Stacey Graham and Cassondra Rowell, both of Tylertown, Julie Rowell of Forrest and Logan Rowell of Cass City, Mich.; two sons, Glen Rowell of Forrest and Kelby Rowell of Cass City, Mich.; one brother, Lavon Rowell of Franklinton; one sister, Faye McMahan of Franklinton; and four grandchildren.
Burial was in Stateline United Pentecostal Church Cemetery with Crain Funeral Home of Franklinton in charge.
J.D. King
Aug. 24, 1934-July 25, 2004
Funeral services for J.D. King, 69, of Monticello, were July 27, 2004, at Divide Methodist Protestant Church with Revs. Ladon Dawson, Newton Pertuit and Chucky Carney officiating.
He died July 25, 2004, at his residence.
King was a carpenter and retired from Tynes Gas Co.
He was born Aug. 24, 1934, at Brookhaven, son of the late James Benson and Jessie Lee Barnett King.
Survivors include his wife, Loyce Givens King of Monticello; four daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Benjie Keys of Monticello, Debbie and Reggie Martin of McComb, Cindy and Wayne Renfroe and Pam and Gerald Reid, all of Monticello; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Matt Holmes, Joe Cutrer, Jason Renfroe, Joe Conn, Jeremy Cothern and Greg Case.
Honorary pallbearers were Dewitt Barnette, E.J. Mason, Donald Howell, Jim Burris, Dewey Howell, Cardell Lambert, Pud Calhoun and Rex Robbins.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in charge.
Ralph L. Jerry
Funeral services for Ralph L. Jerry, 82, of El Dorado, Ark., twin brother of Roger McCall Jerry of Tylertown, were July 25, 2004, at Liberty Baptist Church, Lawson, Ark.
He died July 23, 2004.
Edna M. Washington, 87, were Sept. 25, 2004, at Mount Kingdom Baptist Church, New Orleans, with Pastor Darrick R. Johnson officiating.
She died Sept. 21, 2004.

She is survived by her children, Willie Harold Washington, Lucille Warren, Nertcille Harper, Ollie Jean Washington; brothers, Danny Weary of Columbia and Robert Weary of Covington; a sister-in-law, Betsy Weary; an an aunt, Tessie Mae Hammond-Ginn of Tylertown; 18 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Siblings, Jimmy Weary, Nicie Brock and Alcie Dee Bullock, preceded her in death.
Burial was in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Barbara Bates

Memorial services for Barbara Bates were Oct. 2, 2004 at Friendship Baptist Church McComb.
Mrs. Bates, a resident of Mystic, Conn., died at the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, Conn., Sept, 25, 2004.
She was a retired nurse having worked at the Groten Regency and Pendleton Health Care Center both in Colo.; two sisters, Mariette Tara of Picayune, and Bette Rogyum of River Ridge, La.; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Lizzie A. Brumfield

Funeral services for Lizzie Ann Brumfield, 89, of New Orleans, were Oct. 2, 2004, at Rocky Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Clinton Dillon officiating.
She died Sept. 24, 2004, at New Orleans.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Brumfield was born Nov. 28, 1914, in Walthall County, daughter of Tom Lewis and Lucretia Williams Lewis. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Olivia Hammond; five sisters, Ruthie Fortenberry, Fairy Crier, Aleatha Ginn, Thelma Bickham and Eloisee Brumfield; and three brothers, J.E., T.C. and Ned Lewis.
Survivors include three daughters, Lucretia Carson and Verlee Chaney, both of New Orleans, and Geneva Holmes of Tylertown; four sisters, Jennie V. Smith and Lillie Bell Guy, both of Tylertown, Dollie Brown of Franklinton, La., and Lucy Spencer of Warnerton, La.; one brother, Watkins “Pete” Lewis of Tylertown; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gregory Holmes, Larry Carson, Edwin Brumfield, Wilbert Chaney, Michael Holmes and Benny R. Holmes.
Honorary pallbearers were Victor Brumfield, Watkins Lewis, Jessie Brumfield and James Holmes.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Ginn Funeral Home in charge.
Jeramie S. Brister

Funeral services for Jeramie S. Brister, 20, of Jayess, were Oct. 2, 2004, at Hartman Funeral Home, McComb, with Rev. Darrel Blankenship and Bro. Ray Bowling officiating.
He died Sept. 28, 2004, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Riverton, Wyo.
Brister was an oilfield worker and a member of Providence Baptist Church.
He was born Nov. 4, 1983, in Seguin, Tex., son of David Brister of Jayess and the late Kip Brister. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lynn Harberts; his mother; and twin sons, Dusty and Dallas Brister.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica C. Brister of Jayess; his father; paternal grandparents, Willie P. Brister and Martha Brister of Jayess; maternal grandparents, Sheila Fisher and Clancie Fisher of Garibaldi, Ore; one daughter, Gabrielle Brister of Jayess; one brother, Chance Brister of Jayess; two sisters, Cody Brister and Nicole Brister, both of Jayess.
Pallbearers were Daniel Couvillon, John Ard, Johnny Berkeen, Chris Bordelone, Jason Ard, Pat Ard and Shane Brister. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Brister, Chance Brister and Sam Brister.
Burial was in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Jayess with Hartman Funeral Home of McComb in charge.
