Jewel Corinne Frazier Edwards, 89, of Ebenezer died Saturday, September 28, 2002 at Attala County Nursing Center in Kosciusko. Services were Sunday, September 29 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, with burial in the Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery. Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Rev. Billy Barron and Rev. Bobby Oakes officiated.
Mrs. Edwards was born to the late William Elbridge Frazier and Wilkie Mae Shankle. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Grace Rodgers of Ebenezer and Gail Graham of Ethel; five sons, Billy Edwards and Karl Edwards of Ebenezer, Paul Edwards of Ridgeland, Ralph Edwards of Gautier, and Terry Edwards of Brandon; two sisters, Ruby McMinn of Jackson and Mabel Harrington of Yazoo City and 26 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were: Lynn Graham, David Edwards, Buddy Edwards, Ray Rodgers, Terry Edwards, Jr., and Tim Edwards.
Honorary pallbearers were: Will Edwards, Daniel Edwards, Ralph Edwards, Jr., James Harris Rodgers, Ronnie Rodgers, and Roy Rodgers.

Richard W. "Dick" Aiken, Sr.
Died: Thursday, September 26, 2002
Age: 79
Richard W. "Dick" Aiken, Sr., 79, of Jackson, died Thursday, September 26, 2002, at the Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, he was a member of the S.A.E. Social Fraternity. Mr. Aiken was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force in the European Theater. He was president and founder of R.W. Aiken Insurance Agency and was a former president of the Jackson Insurance Agents Association. Mr. Aiken was a charter member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club. He was a long-time communicant of St. James Episcopal Church, where he previously served on the vestry.
Survivors include: his wife, Bee Johnson Aiken of Jackson; two sons, Richard W. Aiken Jr., and Hank Aiken both of Jackson; one sister, Betty Waldrep of Denham Springs, Mississippi School of Business Administration, Attention: Dean Michael Harvey, Holman Hall, University, MS 38677 or to St. James Episcopal Church, 3921 Oak Ridge Dr., Jackson, MS 39216.
Charles Preston Durham, II, 54, died Wednesday, September 25, 2002, at his home in Austin, Texas for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Durant.
Survivors include: his mother, Faye Durham of Durant and one brother Ronald H. Durham of New Orleans, Missouri, Susie Gilliam Gwin Webb of Pass Christian, and Mary Wilson Gwin Smith of Brandon; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Charlie Mac Wade, Reggie Gwin, Oliver Harris, Byron Sharpe, Jr., Paul Sharpe, George Cunningham, Wick Eatherly, and Johnny Hayes.
Honorary pallbearers were Crawford Logan, Frank Gwin, Jr., Byron Sharpe, Guy Duke, and the elders and deacons of First Presbyterian Church.

Pauline Holder Humphries
Died: Monday, November 07, 2005
Age: 83
Mrs. Pauline Holder Humphries, 83, of Durant passed away at her home on Monday, November 7, 2005.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Durant. Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Mizpah Cemetery in Durant. Bro. Matt Brady officiated.
Mrs. Humphries was born on March 12, 1922, the daughter of the late A. B. and Missy Bridgeforth Holder.
Mrs. Humphries was a retired librarian and a member of First Baptist Church in Durant, where she was a Sunday School teacher for a number of years.
She is survived by two sons, Tom Humphries of Durant and Ralph Humphries of San Francisco, Oregon Memorial Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Don McLemore.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Lane McLemore of Lexington, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Bubba Bradley, Jimmy Bevill, Jim Maxcy, Mac Wigley, Charlie Bowie, and Billy Bradley.
Karoline F. Chisolm
Died: Saturday, November 05, 2005
Age: 81
Graveside service for Karoline F. Chisolm was held on Friday, November 11, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Coxburg Methodist Protestant Cemetery in Lexington with Bro. Paul Edwards officiating.
Mrs. Chisolm died on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at her residence in Lexington.
She was born in Germany on December 6, 1923, the daughter of George and Sophia Falkenmayia. Mrs. Chisolm, 81, was a retired LPN and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Timothy A. Chisolm.
Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Annie Mae Kyzer
Died: Friday, November 04, 2005
Age: 100
Annie Mae Kyzer, 100, passed away at her home in Wesson on November 4, 2005.
Funeral services were held on November 5, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Durant. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in West. Rev. Cowan Ellis officiated.
Ms. Kyzer was born on March 31, 1905 to the late Calvin and Jennie Irish English. She was a retired school teacher and had also retired from Potter Company of Wesson.
Ms. Kyzer was a member of the Wesson Baptist Church and the 50 Plus Club.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Emmett Kyzer; her sister, Catherine English White; and a brother, Herbert English.
She is survived by a niece, Sonya Cowan and husband, Hollis; a greatnephew, Trey Cowan; and a greatniece, Katrina C. Smith and husband, Lane.
Pallbearers were Bob McCreary, Bill Grace, Bubba Grace, Melvin Farmer, Allen Burrell, and Laney O'Briant.
Mable Johnson Waters
Died: Thursday, November 03, 2005
Age: 86
Mabel Johnson Waters, 86, died at her residence in Benton on November 3, 2005.Services were held on November 8, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Stricklin-King chapel in Yazoo City with burial in Midway Methodist Cemetery in Midway. Rev. Skipper Maxwell, Rev. Tommy Pittman, and Rev. Milner officiated.
Ms. Waters was born on March 1, 1919 in Holmes County to the late Thomas Hugh and Willie Browning Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Midway United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Leslie L. Waters, Jr. of Benton, and Keith Waters and wife, Mary Frances of Sumrall; a daughter, Brenda Davis and husband, Randall, of Benton; and a brother, M. C. Johnson of Hattiesburg; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hal Waters, Will Waters, Scott Davis, Mike Summerlin, Hunter Davis, Brent Waters, Lindsy Waters, Brantley Johnson, Tanner Summerlin, and Austin Davis.
