Willie Allen Tate of Oakland, California. Rev. Gillette O. James officiated. Burial was in Chapel Of The Chimes, Mountian View Cemetery in Oakland, California. He received a degree from Merritt College School of Business in Oakland, California; daughter Glennie of California; brothers, Emmitt of Rhode Island, Herbert of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 2, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, with burial in Lakewood South Memorial Park.
A Green wood native, Mr. Edwards has lived in the Jackson area for the past 25 years. He was a painter. He was an avid Christian and member of the Heritage Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Shay Edwards.
Survivors are: his wife, Michelle Edwards of Byram; father, Karl Joseph Edwards, I, of Lexington; mother and stepfather, Shirley and Phillip Pilgrim of Jackson; daughters, Karli Jo Edwards, Jessica Lovell Edwards, and Crystal Jones (Blake) all of Byram; sons, Hunter Alford and C. J. Alford of Byram; sisters, Tina Edwards of Mendenhall, Stacey Edwards of Lexington, and Christie Gray of Ridgeland; and grandmother, Viola Home of Lumberton.
EUGENE KUHN
Died: Monday, January 30, 2006
Age: 77
Eugene Kuhn of Lexington, 77, died on Monday, January 30, 2006 at University Hospital of Holmes County in Lexington.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 1st at 2 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with burial in Coxburg Cemetery. Rev. Roger Richardson and Rev. Mac Ables officiated.
Mr. Kuhn was born on December 25, 1928 in Yazoo County, the son of S. A. Kuhn and Rosie Nell Burrell Kuhn. He was a bridge builder with Spell Construction, and a Baptist.
Survivors include: his wife, Doris Chisolm Kuhn of Lexington; two sons, Ricky and wife Gina Kuhn of Yazoo City, Ron and wife Betty Kuhn of Brookhaven; three daughters, Rose Scales and husband C. Ray of Jackson, Susan Bonner and husband Larry of Pineville, LA, Jodi Vaughn and husband Martin of Jonesboro, AR; two brothers, Ross Kuhn of Goffstown, Vermont; two sisters, Dorothy Burrell of Yazoo City, and Sue Wilkerson of Coldwater; eleven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Austin Edwards, Keith Ables, Kevin Ables, Billy Mac Ables, David Malone, and Eli Saxton.
Honorary pallbearers were: Harris Ables, Wesley Pettus, David Meeks, Truitt Kinard, Vivian Ferrell, Ricky Winstead, and Bubba Spell.
Ben Wiley Nelms

BEN WILEY NELMS
Ben Wiley Nelms, 48, died Monday, January 30, 2006, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona. Services were 2 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006, at Oliver Funeral Home chapel in Winona, with burial in Vaiden Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Arinder and Rev. Rick Boyette officiated.
Ben was a farmer. He also was a member of New Salem Baptist Church near Vaiden. He is survived by his parents, James Wiley and Fannie Lois Nelms, of Vaiden. He is also survived by 3 aunts, Martha Anne Noland of Vaiden, Hilda Corbin of Olive Branch, and Bell Mosby of Grenada. Mr. Nelms will be missed by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that memorials be made to New Salem Baptist Church Building Fund, 1945 Highway 35, Vaiden, MS 39175.
EARL ROY MCDANIEL
Died: Friday, January 27, 2006
Age: 83
Earl Roy McDaniel, 83, a retired grocery store owner, died Friday, January 27, 2006, at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Services were 11 a.m. Monday, January 30, at Main Street Baptist Church in Goodman with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Reverend Mike Martin and Rev. Walter Hughley officiated.
Mr. McDaniel was a longtime alderman and fire chief for the town of Goodman. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church where he was a deacon for many years, a graduate of the University of Louisiana, a son of John K. Perkins and Wandee Kendricks Perkins. He was a salesman with Barrett-Nunnery, a veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Main Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Bessie Horne Perkins of Goodman; brother, Mike Perkins of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Pallbearers were: Ashley Horne, Kyle McDanell, Pat Stephens, Frank Musso, Rickie Thomas, and Jim McCrory. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Main Street Baptist Church.

MICHAEL TREY UPCHURCH
Died: Thursday, January 26, 2006
Age: 17
Michael Trey Upchurch, 17, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2006 in Pelahatchie. Services were 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, at Williams & Lord Funeral Home of Green wood, with burial in the Malmaison Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial services were 2 p.m. Sunday, January 29, at the Cross Roads Baptist Church in Pelahatchie.
He was born in Green wood, Mississippi, the daughter of Henry Franklin Pritchard and Marie Killebrew Pritchard. She retired in 1997 after 22 years with the Department of Human Services where she was a Senior Clerk III. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Mrs. Fuller was preceded in death by her son, Paul Davis, and a grandson, Benjamin Davis.
Survivors include: her children's father, Raymond Davis of Lexington; two sons, Steve Davis and wife Patty of Camden, Arkansas, and Jeff Davis and wife Jolynn of Poplarville; a daughter, Tracy Killebrew and husband Kenny of Lexington; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Frank Davis, Steve Davis, John Davis, Luke Davis, Jeffrey Davis, Justin Killebrew, Josh Killebrew, and Nathan Davis.
Honorary pallbearers were: Dr. John Downer, J. W. Pritchard, and Jimmy Bates.
Mary Lou Ellis English
Died: Thursday, February 23, 2006
Age: 89
Mary Lou Ellis English of Durant, 89, died Thursday, February 23, 2006, at the Mississippi State Park Commission. She was a member of Durant United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barrett Sulivan English; son, Alvin Donald English; brother, Floyd Ellis; sisters, Mildred Ellis, Vivian McCreary and Irene McCreary.
Survivors include her sons, Ray English and wife Nora of Vicksburg and Carlton Barrett English and wife Karen of Wilmington, Tennessee, Judy Ann Alley and husband George of Vaiden, and Vanda Lenard and husband Drew of Vaiden; daughter-in-law, Barbara Busbea English of Grenada; brother, Robert Ellis of West; sisters, Evelyn Long of Memphis, Tennessee and Reece White of Kosciusko; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Alvin Donald English, Jr., Steven Ray English, Carlton Barrett English, Jr., Mark Louis Alley, Daniel Lenard and Eric English.
