MILDRED ARMSTRONG FARMER
Mildred Armstrong Farmer, 86, retired nurses aid, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at her home in Belzoni. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Southern Funeral Home in Lexington with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mrs. Farmer was born October 7, 1919 in Attala County to James and Lola Oakes Armstrong. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lexington.
Survivors include: son, Jimmy Farmer and wife Irene of Picayune; daughters, June Tate and husband Earl of Belzoni and Sylvia Lott and husband Del of Belzoni; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Ruth Marie Royal

RUTH MARIE ROYAL
Ruth Marie Royal, 88, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2006 at her residence in Durant.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 9 at Southern Funeral Home chapel at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Sallis City Cemetery in Sallis. Rev. Daniel Blaylock officiated.
Mrs. Royal was born on August 9, 1917 in Boissevain, VA, the daughter of David Bolling and Elsie Honaker Bolling. She was a retired factory worker.
She is survived by three sons, Bobby Armstrong and Jerry Armstrong of Bristol, TN, and Tom Armstrong of Princeton, WV; daughters, Nancy Disher of Channelview, Alabama; two daughters, Miriam Killebrew of Caledonia, Mississippi; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 67 great-great grandchildren..
Norris Belle Zeigler Hearn
Died: Sunday, March 05, 2006
Age: 95
Mrs. Norris Belle Zeigler Hearn died on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at University Hospital of Holmes County in Lexington.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 8, at Harlands Creek Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Harlands Creek Cemetery. Bro. Roger Richardson was the officiating minister.
Mrs. Hearn, 95, was born on August 3, 1910 in Itta Bena, the daughter of William Lewis Zeigler and Jane Alena Netherland Zeigler. She was a homemaker, and a member of Harlands Creek Baptist Church where she had served as pianist for over seventy years.
Survivors include a son, David Hearn of Berham, Mississippi, and Meridith Winstead of Pascagoula, New Hampshire, and Eric Crosson of Mountainview, Mississippi.
Pallbearers were Masons, George Booker, Ronnie Chisholm, Phil Cohen, Allan King, Johnny Allen, and George McDonald.

Services for Mrs. Francie Rogers, 37, of Brandon were held Sunday, April 2, 2006 at 3 p.m. at Culpepper Funeral Home chapel in Kosciusko with burial in Sallis Cemetery. George Hester officiated. She died March 29, 2006 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood.
Mrs. Rogers, a native of Attala County, was born April 15,1968 to Clyde Edward and Merry Sawyer Hester. She was a member of the McAdams Baptist Church and was employed by Home Depot in Brandon.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Rogers; two sons, Mark Sawyer Rogers, Edward Dale Rogers and a daughter, Franmarie Hester Rogers, all of Brandon; her mother, Merry Love of McAdams; a brother, Jim Love of Kosciusko; four sisters, Ona Irby of Gluckstadt, Atara Goodwin of McAdams, April Love of Coxburg, and Lauren Love Mitchell of Green wood; and her grandmother, Josie Sawyer of McAdams.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Edward Hester, her grandparents, Clyde S. Hester and Eloise Hester, L.E. Sawyer, and step father, Jimmy Love.
Pallbearers were Steve Williams, Mitchell Sawyer, Houston Grantham, Dickie Dickerson, Jason Hester, Dewitt Adcock, Robby Grantham, and Adam Hester.
Honorary pallbearers were Melinda McAlister and Home Depot associates from Brandon and Clinton locations.

Temperance C. "Tempy" Tingle

Funeral services for Mrs. Temperance "Tempy" C. Tingle of Lexington were held on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at 2 p.m. from Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington with Rev. Skipper Maxwell officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mrs. Tingle, 92, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2006 at Lexington Manor. She was born in Montgomery County on January 5, 1914, a daughter of William Luther Crook and Carrie Austin Crook. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington. Mrs. Tingle was preceded in death by her husband, John Tingle, who passed away in 2002.
Survivors include a son, John Tingle of Sierra Vista, Arizona; a daughter, Jeane Dillon of Lexington; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steve Diffey, Timmy Boatner, Jason McCain, Frankie McCain, Mac Phillips, Brad Cothran, Brandon Cothran, and Andy Ledbetter.
George Forrest Wilkins

Age: 93
George Forrest Wilkins, 93, passed away on Saturday, April 1,2006 at his residence in West.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 3, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Durant with Rev. Carlton McNeer officiating. Interment was in Wilkins - McLellan Cemetery out from West.
Mr. Wilkins was a native of Holmes County, born on May 6, 1912 to James Wilkins and Helena Grantham Wilkins. He was a retired farmer and a member of Bowling Green Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerrie Wilkins, and grandson, J. J. Edwards.
Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Barrett and Ann Edwards, both of West; two grandchildren, Adrienne Bryant and Toby Edwards, and one great grandson, Trace Edwards.
Pallbearers were Ralph McLellan, Jonathan McBride, Johnny McBride, Billy McNeer, Dennis McNeer, and Rufus Waddell.
Honorary pallbearers were Joe Holly, Joe McLellan, Frankie Bledsoe, Melvin Farmer, and Ray Wilkins.
