Evelyn Rutledge of Lexington, 85, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Lexington Manor.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 17, 2006 from Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington at 2:30 p.m. Rev. J. B. Burns officiated, assisted by Rev. Michael O'Brien. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mrs. Rutledge was born on May 14, 1920, the daughter of Walter Scott and Opal White Scott of Baldknob, Arkansas. She was a retired payroll clerk with Henson-Kickernick, and a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, "Ad" Rutledge.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers were: Sammy Massey, Chad Mullen, Mike Huggins, Billy Edwards, Len Ware, Jr., and Wayne Rhea.

Leavater L. Lee Watson
Funeral services for Leavater L. Lee Watson, 71, of Tchula will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Bethlehem M. B. Church in Thornton, MS with Rev. Henry Proctor officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Porter and Sons Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Watson passed away on April 13, 2006 at Green wood-Leflore Hospital in Green wood. The daughter of the late Mrs. Cora L. Green Wilson and the late Will A. Wilson of Holmes County, she was born January 20, 1935.
She was a member of the House of Prayer Church of Jesus Christ where she served as mother of the church and a member of the choir.
Leavater was united in holy matrimony to Ernest 'Paul' Lee in 1953, and in 1998, she was united in holy matrimony to Robert E. Watson.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Watson of Tchula, 4 sisters: her twin, Eormy Lee Williams of Tchula, Ruth Delaney of Jackson, Sarah Harris of Miami, FL, and Sarah Herren of Flora; a brother, Willie Wilson of Jackson; her stepmother, Fleccie Wilson of Flora; three stepsons: Robert E. Watson and Willie J. Watson of Chicago, IL, and Charlie Watson of Bolingbrook, IL; and a stepdaughter, Rebecca Watson of Tchula.
Pallbearers will be: Kenneth Green , Douglas Green , Terrell Green , Walter Moore, Roger Wilson and Darnell Head.
Leflora Randle

LEFLORA RANDLE
Mrs. Leflora Randle departed this life on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at her home in Lexington. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Sweet Canaan Church of God in Christ in Lexington. Elder Percy Minnesota, Johnnie (Robert) Mayberry of Cedar Hill, California, Eloise Vinsan of Cadiz, Illinois; a brother, Jerry Johnson of Peoria, Mississippi State College for Women. She later earned a Masters of Science degree and a Masters of Education degree from Louisiana, on Thursday, April 6, 2006. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Oregon Memorial Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Don McLemore.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Lane McLemore of Lexington, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Bubba Bradley, Jimmy Bevill, Jim Maxcy, Mac Wigley, Charlie Bowie, and Billy Bradley.
Annie Mae Kyzer

Age: 100
Annie Mae Kyzer, 100, passed away at her home in Wesson on November 4, 2005.
Funeral services were held on November 5, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Durant. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in West. Rev. Cowan Ellis officiated.
Ms. Kyzer was born on March 31, 1905 to the late Calvin and Jennie Irish English. She was a retired school teacher and had also retired from Potter Company of Wesson.
Ms. Kyzer was a member of the Wesson Baptist Church and the 50 Plus Club.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Emmett Kyzer; her sister, Catherine English White; and a brother, Herbert English.
She is survived by a niece, Sonya Cowan and husband, Hollis; a greatnephew, Trey Cowan; and a greatniece, Katrina C. Smith and husband, Lane.
Pallbearers were Bob McCreary, Bill Grace, Bubba Grace, Melvin Farmer, Allen Burrell, and Laney O'Briant.
Mable Johnson Waters
Died: Thursday, November 03, 2005
Age: 86
Mabel Johnson Waters, 86, died at her residence in Benton on November 3, 2005.Services were held on November 8, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Stricklin-King chapel in Yazoo City with burial in Midway Methodist Cemetery in Midway. Rev. Skipper Maxwell, Rev. Tommy Pittman, and Rev. Milner officiated.
Ms. Waters was born on March 1, 1919 in Holmes County to the late Thomas Hugh and Willie Browning Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Midway United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Leslie L. Waters, Jr. of Benton, and Keith Waters and wife, Mary Frances of Sumrall; a daughter, Brenda Davis and husband, Randall, of Benton; and a brother, M. C. Johnson of Hattiesburg; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hal Waters, Will Waters, Scott Davis, Mike Summerlin, Hunter Davis, Brent Waters, Lindsy Waters, Brantley Johnson, Tanner Summerlin, and Austin Davis.
Memorials may be made to Midway Methodist Cemetery Fund or Gilbert's Hospice Care of Gardner and Marie Seymore on February 22, 1956. He accepted Christ at an early age at Berean Church of Christ Holiness. He received his education at Lexington Attendance Center (Jacob Joshua McClain High). He was an auto- mobile mechanic.
Mr. Seymore is survived by his wife, Delphine; six children, Eddie Seymore of Jacksonville, FL, Latundra Johnson and Garrett Seymore, both of Lexington, Antoinie Seymore of Bolingbrook, IL; Kehayta Conecin of Tchula, and Robert Brooks (United States miliary service); nine sisters, Estella O'Neal, Freda Adams, Minnie Hill, Lorean Jefferson, Barba Porter, Joyce Cox, all of Lexington, Sandra Davis of Pickens, Marie Booker of Hoffman Estates, IL, Mattie Gallion of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. The service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Durant with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in West. Bro. Harvey Ellis and Bro. James Shumate officiated.
Mr. Ellis was born May 24, 1912 in West to Shep and Cora English Ellis. He worked for Holmes County as a machine operator. Mr. Ellis was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he was a deacon for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Fannie Adcock Ellis of West; sons, Richard Bryant Ellis, Jr. and wife Mary of Kokomo, Indiana, and Gowan Ellis and wife Kay of Clinton; sisters, Velma Davis and Marylene Miller; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Stanley Ellis, Melvin Farmer, Ricky Farmer, Wayne Ellis, Dick Lehman, and Percy Miller.
