Deborah Kaye Walden, 48, of Flora died Monday, August 25, 2003 at her residence. Services were Wednesday, August 27 at 10 a.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with burial in Pinecrest Cemetery in Tchula. Rev. Sonny Bradshaw officiated.
Mrs. Walden was the daughter of Carrie Hughes Alderman and the late James T. Alderman. She was a homemaker and also a member of Franklin Baptist Church.
Survivors include: mother, Carrie Hughes Alderman; a son, Joseph T. Walden of Flora; two daughters, Tracey Walker of Bentonia and Stephanie Walden of Flora; two brothers, Ronnie Alderman and Mike Alderman both of Flora; and 3 grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were: Jason McDill, Hal Thornton, Jeff Gant, Robert Wilkinson, Michael Coward, and Minton Speulding.

Albert Earl Winstead, 59, of Lexington died Thursday, August 14, 2003 at Central Louisiana.

Evelyn Wyse Lord Wasson, 80, of Green wood died of cancer Saturday, August 9, 2003 at Green wood Leflore Hospital. Services were held at St. John’s Methodist Church in Green wood, Monday, August 11 at 10:00 a.m. with burial in Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko. Rev. Rob Gill and Alex Bayes officiated. Graveside services were officiated by Resa Wasson and Alton Wasson at 2 p.m. Monday at Parkway Cemetery. Wilson & Knight Funeral Home of Green wood was in charge of arrangements.
She was born in Kosciusko on December 24, 1922, to George Westley Lord and Jennie Bell Gunter Lord. In 1969 the family moved to Green wood when her husband, David Wasson, was promoted to manager of Green wood District, Mississippi Forestry Commission and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Mildred H. Malone of Lexington; two sons, W. E. "Bubba" Malone, Jr. of Yazoo City and Joe A. Malone of Lexington; two daughters, Sandra Ables of Lexington and Tammy Caldwell of Durant; brother, Arthur Malone of Sardis; sister, Agnes Hutchins of Utica; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Ada Ethelyne Baine of Durant, 98, died Wednesday, January 5, 2004 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 6 at Mizpah Cemetery in Durant. Bro. Sonny Potts officiated. Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Miss Ethelyne was born June 23, 1906 in Holmes County to Harvey J. Baine and Minnie Oregon and Vivian S. McDoragh of Madison; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.
John Arthur Kellebrew, Jr.
Died: Friday, December 31, 2004
Age: 67
John Arthur Killebrew, Jr. of Green wood, 67, a retired farmer, died of heart failure Friday, December 31, 2004 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson.
Services were held Sunday, January 2, at North Green wood Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Green wood. Dr. Jim Phillips officiated. Wilson & Knight Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Killebrew was born August 8, 1937 to the late John and Gladys (Rodgers) Killebrew, Sr., in Carroll County. He graduated from Tchula High School and Louisiana and Susan Randolph Clinkscales of Green wood; two sons, John Arthur Killebrew of Niceville, Texas and J.R. Killebrew of Edwards; one sister, Sue Mangrum of Mendenhall; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Jimmy Killebrew, Chad Killebrew, Chip McAlpin, Steve McGarrh, Doug Cauthen, and Ken Hodges. Honorary pallbearers were: Dr. Walter Moses and members of Friendship Sunday School Class of North Green wood Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to North Green wood Baptist Church or Pillow Academy.
Billy Gene Cochran

Age: 71
Billy Gene Cochran of Durant, 71, died Sunday, December 26, 2004 at his residence.
Services were held Tuesday, December 28 at 2 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Durant, with burial in Mizpah Cemetery. Rev. Doug Lawson, Rev. Jerry Guess, and Rev. Daniel Blaylock officiated.
Mr. Cochran was born September 9, 1933 in Attala County to Webster Cochran and Eva Burns Cochran. He was an equipment operator for the City of Durant and a member of Bowlin Baptist Church. Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Alexandria Gale Cochran.
Survivors include: wife, Lillie "Dinky" Cochran of Durant; son, Roger Cochran of Durant; daughter, Carol White of Lexington; brother, Andy Cochran of Sallis; three sisters, Linda Carolyn McClendon of Kosciusko, Sarah Thweatt and Allene Keith, both of Sallis; and 6 grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were: Bud Keith, Jimmy Keith, and Huey Bishop.

Charles "Billy" Waddell
Died: Friday, December 24, 2004
Age: 69
Charles "Billy" Waddell, 69, died Friday, December 24, 2004 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 27 at the Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
A native of Holmes County, Mr. Waddell had lived in Florence since 1978, moving here from Richland. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Waddell retired after 30 years as a construction superintendent with Irby Construction Co. and later worked with True Value Hardware of Richland. Mr. Waddell was a mason with the Knoxville, Arkansas lodge and a member of Sallis Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Charlene Waddell of Florence; daughters, Carla Waddell of Pearl, Christie Brunson of Florence and Teresa Wright of Conway, Arkansas; mother, Eva Dee Waddell of Florence; brother, Donald Gene Waddell of Winchester, Wisconsin.

Stephanie Hyatt Taylor of Lexington, 27, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at Hospice in His Hands in Durant.
Services were held at Faith Fellowship Church at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 23 with burial in Faith Fellowship Cemetery. Rev. Joel Smith and Rev. Blain McLain officiated. Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Stephanie was born on June 10, 1977 in Shreveport, Louisiana; spouse, Thomas Taylor of Lexington; four sons, Morgan Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Drake Taylor, and Nathan Taylor, all of Lexington; three daughters, Lauren Taylor, Chelsea Taylor, and Megan Taylor all of Lexington; one sister, Tiffany Douglas of Shreveport, Louisiana and Jeff Hyatt of Shreveport, Louisiana.
Honorary pallbearers were: Morgan Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Brian Robinson, Jack Robinson, Walter L. Upchurch, Paul Roos, Dorsey Cockrell, and Al Langford.
