Elizabeth Young Dillon of Lexington, 88, died Saturday, May 15, 2004 at University Hospital & Clinics of Holmes County.
Services were Sunday, May 16 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Lexington with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Skipper Maxwell officiated.
Mrs. Dillon was born on May 3, 1916 in Marshall County, the daughter of Seth Yarbrough Young and Anne Celeste McCutchan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Dillon.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lexington. She worked for the Department of Public Welfare and was a retired school teacher.
Survivors include: Myron Dillon of Mantachie, David Dillon of Lexington, and Stanley Dillon of New Albany; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were: Bill Davis, Bubba Stewart, Holt Smith, Steve Diffey, Timmy Boatner, and Ben Walters.
The family requests that memorials be made to Central Holmes Christian School Scholarship Fund, 1 Robert E. Lee Drive, Lexington, MS 39095.
Ina Lillie Farmer

Age: 75
Ina Lillie Farmer Grantham of Lexington, 75, died Friday, May 14, 2004 at her residence.
Services were Monday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Lexington with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Kent Newell, Rev. Blain McLain, and Rev. Richard Nettles officiated.
Mrs. Grantham was born May 28, 1928 in Holmes County to Robert K. “Bob” Farmer and Annie Fritz Farmer. She was a florist and owner of Ina’s Flowers in Lexington. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexing-ton.
Survivors include: one son, Mark Grantham of Tupelo; two daughters, Gloria Hathcock of Durant and Pat Barnes of Ridgeland; three sisters, Polly McDonald of Silsby, Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Services were held Monday, May 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Durant with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Goodman. Rev. Doyle Mitchell and Rev. James Salters officiated.
Mr. Derrick graduated from Durant High School in 1966. He received his BBA from the University of Alabama; two sisters, Nancy L. Hynum of Port Gibson and Charlene Gray of West.
Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Unity Baptist Church: Chubby Melton, Jim Hynum, Greg Hynum, Philip Dallas, Ruby Jones, Jr., and David Montgomery.
Active pallbearers were: Joey McLellan, Buster Howard, Chuck Waterers, Will Edwards, Eddie Edwards, and Frankie Hughes.

Ida Juanita Suit of Bonnerdale, Arkansas, 72, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 7 in Pearcy Baptist Church in Pearcy, Arkansas with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Sunshine, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Bro. Leroy Wagner officiated.
Mrs. Suit was born on June 27, 1931, in Lexington, Mississippi and attended Pearcy Baptist Church of Arkansas.
Survivors include: husband, Lieutenant Commander James H. Suit, USN Retired of Bonnerdale, AR; mother, Edna Gentry of Pearcy, AR; one brother, Edward Gentry of Pearcy, AR; one sister, Joyce Mullins of Pearcy, AR; one daughter, Debra Lynn Smith of Glenwood, AR; four sons, William Kelly Suit, Terry Lee Suit, Joseph Randall Suit, all of Bonnerdale, AR and James Michael Suit of Pearcy, AR; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were: Brian M. Gardner, Lieutenant J.G. James K. Smith, USN, Dr. George Queen and Dr. Steven Matthews.
Pallbearers were: James M. Suit, William K. Suit, Terry L. Suit, Joseph R. Suit, Kristopher N. Suit and Trent Smith.
Grace R. Maddux

Age: 79
Grace R. Maddux of Durant, 79, died Sunday, January 11, 2004 at Tennessee. Services were Saturday, January 10 at 2 p.m. at Nowell Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksdale with burial in Oakridge Cemetery. Dr. Jeff Holland officiated. Nowell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Smith was a retired pharmacist for Chaney’s Pharmacy in Green wood. She was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church, a member and past president of The Altrusa Club of Green wood, and a member of Tennessee; 2 nieces; and 3 nephews.
Annie Louise Anderson Eakin

Age: 97
Annie Louise Anderson Eakin of Thornton, 97, died Sunday, January 4, 2004 at the Wadley Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas; one son, Frank A. Eakin, Jr. of Brandon; and 3 grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers are Bernard Jones, Norman Weathersby, Jr., George Cunningham, Derek Parker, Martin Smith, Robert Donaldson, and Frank Ashley, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Williams Memorial United Methodist Church, 4000 Moore’s Lane, Texarkana, Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Services were Monday, January 5, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Durant. Rev. Jerry Meggs, Rev. Del Gann and Rev. Billy Frazier officiated. Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gray was the son of the late Acey Gray and Elsie Wright. He was a minister and a member of Allen Chapel of the Sand Hill Community in Rankin County.
Survivors include: two sons, Morris L. Gray of Brandon and Roger Gray of Pearl; one brother, Wilbur C. Gray of Philadelphia; one sister, Yvonne Miles of Amarillo, Texas; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Larry Killebrew, Zacky Killebrew, Dennis Killebrew, Kenny Killebrew, James Edward Killebrew, and Choyce Diffey.
