Martha Noland O'Neal
COTTONDALE, Ala. - Martha Noland O'Neal, 53, died Sept. 8, 2004, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Dogwood Chapel in Aliceville, Ala. Burial will be at Magnolia Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the chapel.

Morris R. (Randy) Wheeler
Morris R. (Randy) Wheeler, 45, of Columbus, MS, passed away on Sept. 6, 2004, at his residence in Columbus, MS. Funeral services for Mr. Wheeler will be Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at Lone Oak Church of Christ in Steens, MS, with Bro. Dustin Brock officiating. He will lie in state at the church from 10 - 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Lone Oak Cemetery, Steens, MS, with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, directing. Mr. Wheeler was born Aug. 27, 1959, in Columbus, MS, to Festus B. Wheeler Jr. and the late Dorothy Louise Browning Wheeler. He was a lifelong resident of Columbus, MS, and had been a respiratory therapist since 1988. In addition to his father, Mr. Wheeler is survived by his brothers, Mike Wheeler of Tuscaloosa, AL, Glenn Wheeler of Terry, MS, and Scott Wheeler of Columbus, MS. Pallbearers will be Elbert Wheat, C.V. Rickman, Adrian Sanders, William Mason, Wilburn Logan, and Charles Culpepper. Evele Camp Wilson
TREMONT - Evele Camp Wilson, 85, died Sept. 13, 2004, at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory. Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Liberty Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the church. Mrs. Wilson was born Sept. 15, 1918, to the late Henry Arnt and Tester Leech Camp in Itawamba County. She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and she was a poultry farmer and a housewife. She is survived by her husband, Bold Wilson of Tremont; daughter, Jemmie Lynn Fowler of Tremont; brother, Henry Arnt Camp Jr. of Florence, Ala; sisters, Geneva Sullivan of Marion, Ark., and Lecile 'Lucy' Markham of Tremont; and one grandchild. Charles and John Anthony, Carl Hutson, Tom Jackson, Noel Kennedy, Tommy Poole, and Arnie and Leroy Camp will serve as pallbearers. Gene Edward Murphy
SMITHVILLE - Gene Edward Murphy, 73, died Sept. 13, 2004, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. Services will be today at 2 p.m. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Bobby Howell officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery. Mr. Murphy was born Feb. 13, 1931, to the late Avery Franklin and Mellie Cleola Suggs Murphy. He worked for Amory Garment Co. of Amory and Sealtest Milk in Memphis and he was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Eddie and Kenneth Murphy, both of Fulton and Bobby Lee Murphy of Tupelo; daughter, Sandra White Rayburn of Tremont; brother, Frank Murphy of Amory; sister, Sible M. Hathcock of Smithville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Geneva Holiday. Richard White, Phillip, Randy and Andy Hathcock, and John, Jimmy and James Ralph Murphy will serve as pallbearers.
James O. Strawbridge
HAMILTON - James O. Strawbridge, 99, died Sept. 13, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle. Services will be today at 2 p.m. at the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with the Rev. Terry Edwards officiating. Burial will be at New Prospect Cemetery.
Mr. Strawbridge was born July 22, 1905, to the late James Irvin Strawbridge and Hattie Harrison Strawbridge in Lamar County, Ala. He was a retired farmer and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Beautress Helen Dobbins Strawbridge; son, James L. Strawbridge; grandson, Roger Sullivan; and great-great grandson, Joshua D. Sullivan.
He is survived by his daughters, Gurthleen Pickle and Flora Sullivan, both of Hamilton; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. James Prillhart, Andy Thompson, Chase Whitaker, Shane Perkins, Charles Strawbridge and David Strawbridge will serve as pallbearers.
Velson 'Fox' Daniel
GORDO, Ala. - Velson 'Fox' Daniel, 93, died Sept. 13, 2004, at Pickens County Medical Center. Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mayo Woolbright officiating. Burial will be at Unity Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. The body will be at the church one hour prior to services. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Arvee Sherill Daniel; brothers, Artice, Kinnie and Elo Daniel; and sisters, Alta Wilson and Elsie Daniel.
William T. Woods
SULLIGENT, Ala. - William T. Woods, 77, died Sept. 13, 2004, at DCH Regional Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Services were today at 11 a.m. at Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Freeman and Jeff Scott officiating. Burial was at Fellowship Cemetery. Mr. Woods in Vernon, Ala. He was a member of Shiloh North Methodist Church and worked for Glenn Garment Company for 37 years. He also was a World War II Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Nell Woolbright Woods of Sulligent; daughters, Phyllis Lucas of Sulligent, Pamela Reed of Woodstock, Ga. and Tammy L. Woods of Tuscaloosa; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Berney Carruth, Barry Carruth, Kenny Woods, Donald, Bill and Wayne King and Casey Carruth served as pallbearers.

SULLIGENT, Ala. - Effie Carruth, 81, died Sept. 14, 2004, at the Care Center in Vernon, Ala. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with Glen Hughes, Jerry Taylor and Matthew Carruth officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
