Freddie Solomon
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 6 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Church of God for Mr. Freddie Solomon, 62 of Marion County who died Friday, Oct. 4 at his residence.
Interment was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Bro. Hank Anderson officiated the service.
Visitation was held Saturday, Oct. 5 at the church.
A native of Perry County, Solomon was a mechanic and a member of the Mt. Carmel Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his father, George T. Solomon.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Hession Solomon of Foxworth; his mother, Madeline Hinton Solomon, of Foxworth; a daughter, Kim Dale of Monticello; two sons, Ron and Tim Solomon both of Columbia; three sisters, Evlyn Lockhart of New Augusta, MS, Carolyn Owens of New Augusta, MS; and Retha Solomon of Petal; and two brothers Thomas Solomon of Beaumont, MS and Jerry Solomon of Beaumont, MS. He also leaves behind five grandchildren.

Adam Dupuis
Funeral Services were held Saturday October 5 at 2 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home for Adam Dupuis, 6, of Columbia who died Tuesday, October 1 at Marion General Hospital.
Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Rev. Greg Forbes officiated the service.
Visitation was held Friday, October 4 from 6-9 p.m.
Survivors include: parents Tommy and Lillian Goldman of Columbia; grandmother Mabel Lowery of Jackson and grandfather Irvin Boudreaux of Marrero, LA; three sisters Angel Goldman, Michelle Boudreaux and Jasmine Boudreaux all of Columbia; and brother Michael Goldman of Columbia.

Imogene Stafford Stephens
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 10 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Colonial Funeral for Mrs. Imogene Stafford Stephens, 72, of Columbia, who died October 6 at her residence.
Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia.
Rev. Barry Dickerson will officiate at the service.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 10 starting at 8 a.m.
A native of Franklinton, LA, she was a housewife and member of First United Methodist Church of Columbia, member of the Columbia Ladies Jr. Auxiliary, and the Bogalusa Culture Club.
Survivors include: Husband Marion A. Stephens of Columbia; daughter in-law, Gail Stephens of Columbia; son James “Jim” Stephens of Columbia; two sisters, Sylvia Barnum of Covington, LA and Rosemary Earls of Bogalusa; three brothers, Sidney Stafford of Trinity, Stone Mountain, CA, and David Stafford of Woodinville, WA; two grandchildren, Amy Stephens Barber and Dan Stephens; one great-grandson, Evan Barber; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Bob Hudson
Memorial graveside services were held in Jefferson Davis County on September 20 for Bob Hudson, who passed away at his residence in Columbia on September 17.
Survivors include: one son and daughter in-law, Mike and Danette Hudson of Chico, CA; a daughter and son in-law, Michelle and Dan King of Carson City, NV; grandson Brenden Hudson of Chico, CA; his mother, Jerry Haddox of Columbia; and niece Robin King of Columbia.
Robert G. Breakfield
Services were held at the Colonial Funeral Home, October 3 for Robert Glen “Robbie” Breakfield, 41, of Columbia, MS. He died October 1 at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg, MS.
Bro. Floyd Beeson officiated at the service.
Interment was in the old Breakfield, Brushy Creek Cemetery in Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Leo (Malley) Breakfield Breland.
Survivors include his father, Herbert Breakfield of Columbia; two brothers, Harry Randall Breakfield and his wife Phyllis, and children, Melissa and Rachel Breakfield of Columbia, John Ed Breakfield of Columbia, John’s son Gabriel Breakfield and wife, and their son Gabe Breakfield of Albany, Ga., and a host of other relatives and friends.

Edith Helen Bracey
Services were held Saturday, September 28 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Foxworth for Edith Helen Bracey, 67, who died September 24 in St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, TX; Beverly Diane Stringer of Baytown, TX; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Margaret Sublette
Margaret Sublette, 79, passed away on September 30 at Marion General Hospital.
Services were held at 4 p.m., Thursday, October 3 at Community Funeral Home. Visitation was held Oct. 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Interment was in the Foxworth Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Artie Sublette of Pasadena, Mississippi; 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ewell W. Rowley
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 22, in the chapel of Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia for Ewell W. Rowley, 81, of Foxworth, who died Tuesday, Nov. 19, at his residence.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Alvin Waller and the Rev. C. Jerry Martin assisted Dr. Wayne VanHorn in officiating the service.
A native of Marion County, he was a lifetime educator. He began his career serving as an agriculture teacher for 10 years and then served as a principal for 25 years. He was ordained as a deacon by the First Baptist Church of Pearl River, La., and was a member of Columbia First Baptist Church.
Rowley was a 60-year member of the Masonic Lodge, obtaining the 32nd degree in the New Orleans Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Pearl River Chapter 237 O.E.S., where he served as Worthy Patron, along with his wife, Mabel, as Worthy Matron. He served in the U.S. Navy as Pharmacist’s Mate Second Class for three years during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Baxter Rowley and Willena Rowley, and a daughter, Lynda Gayle Rowley Guyse.
Survivors include his widow, Mabel S. Rowley of Foxworth; two sons, William Rowley of Foxworth and Ted B. Rowley of Pearl River, La.; two daughters, Sandra Martin of Ashland, La., and Ewellonda Rowley of Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers were John Baxter Rowley, John Jerry Martin, Benjamin Shane Martin, Jeremy Fortenberry, Sean Wade and Brandon Rowell. Members of the Willing Sunday School Class of First Baptist church served as honorary pallbearers.

Nettie T. Lott
Funeral services were held at the chapel of Colonial Funeral Home Wednesday, Nov. 27, for Nettie T. Lott, 98, of Foxworth, who died Monday, Nov. 25, at the Myrtles Nursing Home.
Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery. Brother M.L. Wallace officiated.
She was a retired factory worker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Lott; two daughters, Earline Lott and Elsie Bedwell; five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Faye McKenzie; a grandson, Junior Bennett Bedwell; five great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Sarah Carraway
A graveside service was held at Society Hill Cemetery Monday, Dec. 2, for Sarah Carraway, 77, of Hattiesburg, who died Saturday, Nov. 30, at forrest General Hospital.
A native of Oakvale, she was a retired school teacher and a member of Main Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Philip V. Davis of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Crystelle Ashley of Pearl and Maude Montgomery of San Antonio, Texas; and a brother, Gerald Williamson of Poplarville.

Johnnie Rayburn
Funeral services were held at the chapel of Community Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 2, for Johnnie Rayburn, 89, of Columbia, who died Friday, Nov. 29, at Marion General Hospital.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Ron Burch officiated.
A native of Marion County, he was an oil consultant and a member of Improve Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Janice Summerville of Hattiesburg; a son, Don Rayburn of Hattiesburg; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Jessie James Bridges
Private graveside services were held Friday, Nov. 29, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia for Jessie James Bridges, 85, of Columbia, who died at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg on Nov. 27.
A Mormon Missionary officiated.
A native of Jefferson Davis County, he was the son of John Cuba Bridges and Mary Beulah Lee Bridges. He was a laborer in the oilfield.
He was preceded in death by a wife, Evie Odem Bridges, in 1990.
Survivors include a son, Michael Bridges of Columbia; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Lula Mae McMillan of Magee.
