Kennoth R. Bridges
Kennoth Rae Bridges, 71, of Kentwood, La., died Nov. 4, 2000, at his residence.
Visitation is 6-9 tonight and 8-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at McKneely Funeral Home in Kentwood. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tangipahoa Baptist Church in Tangipahoa, La., with lifelong friend, Dr. T. Welby Bozeman, assisted by the Rev. Larry Sylvest, officiating. His Eulogy will be given by his brother-in-law, Arlen Drew Rushing of Jefferson, Louisiana Bankers Association in Soil Conservation, elected a community member of the Parish Agriculture Stabilization Committee and received several awards from Carter and Clytie B. Chandler; and one grandchild, Michael James Bridges.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Evelyn Dolores Rushing Bridges of Kentwood, and formerly of Magnolia, who he married June 26, 1951; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Johnny Rae Bridges of Dalton, Ga., Daryl Kennoth and Linda Sue Booty Bridges, and Randal Lee Bridges, all of Kentwood; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Gail Bridges Holmes and Donald Brian Holmes of Clinton, La.; five grandchildren, Bodie Kennoth, Whitley Bryce and Brance Lee Bridges, and Holt and Chesley Lane Holmes; two brothers, Dale and Russell Bridges, both of Kentwood; and one sister, Loray B. Pike of Tangipahoa.
Pallbearers will be nephews, James Cutrer, T.W. Chandler Jr., Barry Bridges, Brad Bridges, George Ray Pike and Todd Covington. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Leo Westmoreland, Narvell Strickland, Jewel Rushing, Reggie Covington, Archie Wall and Dr. Jeff Liner.

James R. Miller
James R. Miller, 73, of Denham Springs, La., died Nov. 4, 2000, at his residence.
Services were noon today at Star Hill Baptist Church in Warnerton, La., with the Rev. Ted Phillips officiating. Burial was in Star Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Miller was born July 22, 1927, in Texas, and Ann Magee of Mount Hermon, La.; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were nephews, Dale Miller, Darrell Miller, Tim Magee, Terry Crain, Todd Crain, Wayne Degraw and Keith Degraw.
J.B. Welch
Joseph Baron “J.B.” Welch, 84, of Osyka, died Nov. 6, 2000, at Beacham Memorial Hospital in Magnolia.
Visitation is Tuesday, with place and time not yet determined.
Arrangements are incomplete with Catchings Funeral Home of McComb in charge.
Ford R. McCray
Ford Rush McCray, 94, of McComb, died Nov. 2, 2000, at Southwest Mississippi Shrine Club.
His family said he was a hard worker, never met a stranger, and was loved by and loved everyone.
Mr. Welch was preceded in death by his parents and eight half brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Eudean Prescott Welch of Osyka; one son and daughter-in-law, Warren Joseph Welch and Betty Welch of Osyka; two daughters and one son-in-law, Vivian and Patrick McKinney of Chatawa and Vesta Welch Hathaway of Osyka; seven grandchildren, Deborah Dormody of Chatawa, Allen McKinney of Camden, Tenn., Pam Scariano and Douglas McKinney, both of Chatawa, Wendell Joseph Welch and Randall Hathaway, both of Osyka of Osyka, and Baron Hathaway of Brandon; two stepgrandchildren, Marsha Parnell of Roseland, La., and Gregory Chapman of Kentwood, La.; nine great-grandchildren, seven stepgreat-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Allen Mc-Kinney, Douglas McKinney, Wendell Welch, Baron Hathaway, Randall Hathaway and Paul Scariano. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Osyka Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Osyka Baptist Church Building and Grounds Fund, P.O. Box 152, Osyka, MS 39657.
Eddie Sparkman
Eddie “Real People” Sparkman, 56, of Amite County, died Nov. 2, 2000, at University of Mississippi Medical Center of complications from leukemia.
Visitation is 5-9 tonight and noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville. Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Franklin County. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Ashlee was born May 2, 1999, in McComb. She was the daughter of Paige Holland and Scarlett Brocato Holland of Meadville.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bernard and Jo Riece Holland, and Joe Brocato.
Survivors include her parents; one sister, Olivia Ann Holland of Meadville; maternal grandmother, Peggy Brocato of Smithdale; two great-grandmothers, Mildred Laird of Smithdale and Mae Belle Jarnigan of Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Visitation is 5-8 tonight at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb. Visitation continues at 9 a.m. Thursday at Terry’s Creek Baptist Church until services there at 11 a.m. The Rev. Kent Newell and the Rev. David Fortenberry will officiate. Burial will be in Terry’s Creek Cemetery of Magnolia.
Mrs. Stewart was born Feb. 18, 1921, in Thomasville, Ga. She was the daughter of Gordon Pierce and Amanda Allen Pierce.
She was a retired registered nurse and had worked at Southwest Texas; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ken Habig, Neil Covington, Eric Cheatham, Jeffrey Stewart, Jed Stewart and Chad Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Hank Lewis, Freddie Wall, Maurice McDaniel, Dr. Larry Stewart, Norman Price
Genevieve Dykes Price , officiated both services. Hartman Funeral Home of McComb was in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Sibert Price .
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert R. and Jean Price of Marietta, Ga.; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Richard and Anne Price ; three granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Deborah and Scott Dyess, Lynn and Dr. Roger Hill and Sharon and Dr. Randy Turner; 11 great-grandchildren, Marybeth, Rebecca, Jonathan and Julia Gardner of Liberty died Nov. 7, 2000, at her residence.
