Charles Edwin Zimmerman
Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel in Bay St. Louis.
BATON ROUGE - Charles Edwin Zimmerman, a dedicated Father, Husband, and Bell South Retiree died at 9:10 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2000.
Eddie was born May 14, 1926 in Moss Point, MS, spending most of his youth in Waveland, MS, leaving to join the Marines to defend his Country in World War II. He retired from Bell South after 41 years of service. He was 74 years old and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Harold J. and Winona Zimmerman; and two brothers, Harold J. Zimmerman, Jr. and William B. Zimmerman.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Zimmerman of Baton Rouge, LA; two sons, Charles Zimmerman, Jr., and Thomas Wayne Zimmerman, both of Metairie, LA; one daughter, Barbara Z. Bradley of Birmingham, AL; also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is greatly loved by friends and family and will be sadly missed.
A visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2000 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. A Prayer Service will be held Monday, December 11, 2000, at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at the Waveland Cemetery.
Inez T. Alleman

GULFPORT - Mrs. Inez T. Alleman, 80, of Gulfport died Friday, December 1, 2000 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Alleman was born in Chunky, MS and had been a resident of the Coast since 1937. She was a retired beautician and a housewife. She was Protestant.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Blaine A. "Porky" Alleman Jr.
She is survived by one stepson, Dr. Blaine A. Alleman III of Mandeville, LA; a sister-in-law, Lydia Mansfield of Gulfport; five nieces, Patty Bowden of Gulfport, Gigi Bresnahan, Patricia Smith, Betty Sanderford, all of Meridian, MS, and Betty Ann "Boopie" Winstead of Canton, MS; one nephew, James McNeal of Panama City, FL; and two grandchildren, Blaine A. Alleman IV of Florida.
There will be a service today, December 3, 2000 at 2 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport where friends may visit an hour before service time. Interment will be at Floral Hill Cemetery in Gulfport.

Ella Helen Shaw
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel in Bay St. Louis.
WAVELAND - Ella Helen Shaw, 78, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Shaw was a native of the Dedeaux Community and a resident of Waveland. She was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Taft Shaw Sr.; her parents, Sylvester and Octavia Koenenn Ladner; three brothers, Lester Ladner, Vester Ladner Sr. and Charles Ladner Sr.; and two sisters, Hilda Wilson and Pauline Redding.
Survivors include three sons, Lucien A. Shaw of Waveland, Taft Shaw Jr. of Poplarville and Lexie A. Shaw of Newport News, Va.; a brother, Cornelius Ladner of Bay St. Louis; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be after noon Monday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis with a service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou in Kiln.
James Douglas Thomas
GULFPORT- James Douglas (Doug) Thomas, 74, passed on to be with his Divine Father and loved ones on Nov. 30, 2000 at the Biloxi VA.
He was born in Laurel, MS on Oct. 8, 1926. When he was 12 years old he moved to the Coast where he lived the rest of his life. He served in the Navy during WWII. He worked as a cook at Fairchilds Restaurant and Keesler Field Air Force Base. He operated the Gulfport Pilot Boat for a time. he owned and operated Doug's Bait Camp on Courthouse Road Pier. He was an avid fisherman and had many friends on the Coast.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Juanito (Glass) Thomas, five brothers, Herbert, Hubert, Edward, Roddy and Raymond Thomas. One nephew, Howard, and one, grandson, Neil.
He is survived by wife Rita (Spring) Thomas, son James P. "Jimmy" Thomas, two daughters, Mrs. Elaine A. Gipson, and Margaret "Peggy" Schorghofer. One brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Bobby Thomas, and one cousin, Martha Buckley. Six grandchildren, Mickie Miller, Jeffery Miller, Martin Crozier, Maisy Schorghofer, Jonathan Schorghofer, and Miranda Fitch.
Mr. Thomas donated his body to The University of Calif., and a Gulf Coast resident for 18 years. He was a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, and retired after 30 years as owner of W&A Engineers in Metairie, La. He was a member of American Welding Society. He was a licensed pilot, inventor of the Banana Caliper, and was in the process of completing a rotary engine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas Wilson and Nannie Bolich Wilson; a son, John Thomas Wilson; a sister, Mazie Brotzman; and two brothers, Cecil H. Wilson and Howard B. Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude W. Wilson; a daughter, Lori Wilson-Renoe, both of Pass Christian; and a grandchild.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Riemann Funeral Home in Pass Christian where friends may call an hour before service time.
The family prefers memorials to the Humane Society of South Washington Ave., Gulfport, MS 39503.
Arthur Baker
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Biloxi.
BILOXI - Arthur Baker, 94, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, in Biloxi.
Mr. Baker was a lifelong resident of the Coast. He was born on Deer Island and resided there for 63 years. He was captain of the charter boat "Doris Mae." He was a member of the Ohio; four grandchildren, Catherine Roth, John Robert Berschied III, Ann Copeland and Michael Berschied; and two great-grandchildren, George Hardebeck, Jr., and Emily Roth.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2000, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes with Rosary at 7 p.m. A service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church where friends may call an hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.

JEFFERSON, La. - Lillian Douglas Corrao, 82, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, in Jefferson, La.
Mrs. Corrao was a resident of Jefferson and a retired beautician.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis C. Corrao Sr.; a son, Thomas Corrao; a grandson, Thomas Corrao; and her parents, Stephen A. and Lillian Marie Anderson Douglas.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas Corrao of Mesa, Ariz., Louis C. Corrao Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Marita Marks of Waveland; a sister, Katherine Heenan of Long Island; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 10 tonight at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis with Rosary at 8 p.m. A procession will leave the funeral home at noon Monday for a 12:30 p.m. service at St. Clare Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.
Emile R. Craig Sr.
Funeral: Graveside at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Biloxi National Cemetery.
GULFPORT - Emile R. Craig Sr., 78, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000 in Gulfport.
Mr. Craig was a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport. He graduated high school in Long Beach and served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II. He was owner/operator of Emile Craig & Sons for over 49 years. He was a member of American Legion Joe Graham Post where he was past commander. He was also a member of the VFW, Polar Star Masonic Lodge, York Rites, Gulfport Scottish Rites and was a 32nd Degree Shriner. He was a member of Michael Memorial Baptist Church in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Marie Craig; six brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Mable Lanier Craig of Gulfport; two sons, Emile "Ray" Craig Jr. of Long Beach and Frank R. Craig of Gulfport; two daughters, Pat Naylor of Wimberley, Texas, and Kristi Ann Custer of Midland, Texas Chapel Methodist Church in Wiggins.
WIGGINS - Anguish Fairley, 66, died Thrusday, Sept. 28, 2000, in New Orleans.
Mr. Fairley was a resident of Wiggins and was employed in the construction industry.
Survivors include his wife, Birdie Fairley of New Orleans; three sons, Cifton Fairley of Baton Rouge, Wayattdell Fairley of New Orleans and Kenneth Hayes of Round Rock, Parker and Jameszens McKinney, all of Wiggins; two brothers, Thornton Fairley of Fort Worth, Texas Chapel Methodist Church in Wiggins. Burial will be in Shadeville Memorial Park. Owens-Ramey Funeral Home in Wiggins is in charge of arrangements.
