James G. Waits
COLUMBIA, Miss. - James G. Waits, 67, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, in Columbia.
Mr. Waits was a native of Biloxi and was retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding and as a dairyman. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in D'Iberville.
Survivors include his wife, Doris J. Waits of Columbia; his mother, Flora Bell Waits of D'Iberville; a daughter, Janis Kemp of Columbia; a son, James A. Waits of Gulfport; four sisters, Norma Oliver and Pauline Leger, both of D'Iberville, Lavada Newell of Vancleave, and Maxine Texas and Cleo Waits of Vancleave; three grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service was held Aug. 4, 2000, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in D'Iberville with burial in D'Iberville Memorial Park Cemetery. Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia was in charge of arrangements.
Claude Edward Williams
Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Richmond Funeral Home Chapel in Gulfport.
GULFPORT - Claude Edward "Buddy" Williams, 43, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mr. Williams was a native of Hazlehurst. He attended Gulfport High School and was employed as maintenance manager for Gulf Coast Community Action Agency of Harrison County for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Celeste Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Jocelyn Faye Williams; two daughters, S.Sgt. Angel Durr of Robins AFB, Ga., and Ciara Williams of Gulfport; two sons, Shannon Durr and Reginal Williams, both of Gulfport; three sisters, Vivian Watson of Gulfport, Evelyn Martin of Detroit, Mich., and Sharon Williams of Hazlehurst; three brothers, George Williams of Mississippi Power and Light Company, Rural Electric Administration in N.Y.; two brothers, Brodie Jerkins of Chickasaw, Ala., and Arthur Jerkins of Range, Ala.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. A service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula, with Masonic honors.
The family prefers memorials to Hospice of Light Patient Fund or Cancer Center of Singing River Hospital.
Ira A. Lossett Jr.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel in Picayune.
CARRIERE - Ira A. "Buddy" Lossett Jr., 72, died Friday, May 5, 2000, in Picayune.
Mr. Lossett was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Carriere. He was co-owner of Lossett's Inc. and a member of the First Baptist Church of Picayune.
Survivors include his wife, Charlena Lossett of Carriere; three sons, Ira A. Lossett III, Alan R. Lossett Sr. and Frank S. Lossett; a daughter, Amy S. Lossett, all of Picayune; two brothers, David J. Lossett and Raymond R. Lossett, both of Carriere; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune. A service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery.
Rev. Walter McCraw
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in the Riemann Funeral Home Chapel, 25th Ave., Gulfport.
LONG BEACH - Rev. Walter McCraw, 82, of Long Beach, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, in Gulfport.
Rev. McCraw was raised in Philadelphia, Miss., and had been a resident of the Coast for 42 years. He was the former pastor of Northward Baptist Church in Gulfport and formerly pastored churches in Philadelphia and Jones County, Miss. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Texas, and New Orleans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A.B. and Edith Walter McCraw; and a brother, A.B. McCraw Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Catherine Lee McCraw of Long Beach; his nephews, Dr. Bryan McCraw and Steve McCraw, both of Columbia, Miss.; a niece, Nancy Whitfield of Columbia; and a sister-in-law, Rose Mary McCraw of Foxworth, Miss.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Ave., Gulfport. A service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Sandtown Cemetery in Philadelphia, Miss.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Bay St. Louis.
Pamela Marie Morris
Funeral: Graveside at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Gardens Cemetery in Gulfport.
GULFPORT - Pamela Marie Morris, 31, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, in Gulfport.
Ms. Morris was a native of Cheyenne, Wyo., and had been a lifelong resident of the Coast. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Autry.
Survivors include three children, Michael Morris, Richard Morris and Kenneth Morris, all of D'Iberville; her father, Robert Heniser of Miami, Fla.; a sister, Julie Bradley of Saucier; and three brothers, Clifford Heniser of Dallas
, Terry Heniser of Biloxi and Charles Heniser of Gulfport.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, U.S. 49 North, Gulfport. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Gardens Cemetery in Gulfport.
Annginette R. Noland
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Beauvoir Road in Biloxi.
BILOXI - Annginette R. Noland, 69, of Biloxi, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Biloxi.
Mrs. Noland was a retired national sales executive with WLOX-TV, a sales associate at McRae's Department Store in Edgewater Plaza, and was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority-NU Chapter at Oklahoma. She was also a member of N.A.F.E. (National Association of Female Executives), DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), UDC (United Daughters of the Confederacy), U.S. Daughters of 1812, Magna Charta Dames, Colonial Order of the Crown of Charlemagne and the Biloxi Yacht Club.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Andrew Roberts; her mother, Gladys Leah Alabama and two sons, Thomas V. Noland Jr. and Bruce Andrew Noland of Biloxi, Texas, and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home on Beauvoir Road in Biloxi. The funeral service will be Monday, May 8, 2000, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial following at 11:30 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
