Weber F. Parker Sr., 75, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, in Escatawpa.
Mr. Parker of Escatawpa; a daughter, Marie Hembree of Pascagoula; three sons, Thomas E. Parker Jr. of Pascagoula and Paul G. Mississippi State University for four years during which time he earned membership in the athletic "M" Club for his achievements on the baseball field under the coaching of "Dudy" Noble in the early 1920s. For numerous years following college, Peel enjoyed playing baseball for the Pirates, a semi-pro regional team from Waynesboro, and helped take them to the national playoffs in Wichita, Kansas in 1937. Later in life, he swapped the bat for golf clubs and excelled, including hitting two holes-in-one. Peel enjoyed 58 years of Christian fellowship at the First United Methodist Church of Gulfport, where he took pride in serving as President of and holding offices with the Men's Bible Class. He was devoted to family and enjoyed the excitement of visits from children and grandchildren.
Mr. Peel is survived by and will be sadly missed by his widow, Jessie Morton Peel, originally of Booneville, MS; one son, Robert David Peel of Chattanooga, TN; three daughters, Rebecca Peel Storey of Amherst, MA, Emily Peel Lynn of Killeen, Minnesota, and had been a Biloxi resident since 1970. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served at Pearl Harbor during WWII. He was a home builder by trade, and built several houses in the Biloxi area. Mr. Scott was owner/operator of Drywall, Mfg. and Supply until his retirement in 1969, due to ill health. He was active in R.V. clubs and initiated the forming of the "Coast to Coast" R.V. Club and was the first president of the club. He became interested in old and vintage cars and joined the Antique Auto and Engine Club in 1978, and at the time of his death, he still owned several old cars and trucks.
Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Walter J. Scott. Survivors include his wife, Nancy B. Scott, of Biloxi; a nephew, John Scott, of Minneapolis, MN; and a niece, Lizabeth Pearson, of Fletcher, Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
A memorial service will be held at the Mendenhall United Methodist Church, where Mrs. Seal was a member, on March 18, 2000 at 11:30 a.m.
Survivors include: sons, Mike Seal of Clinton and Ray Seal of Pace, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Kathryn, Dillon, and Connor.

Perry Matthew Stallings
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday in the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.
BILOXI - Airman First Class Perry Matthew Stallings, U.S. Air Force, 21, of Biloxi, died Tuesday, February 22, 2000, in Shreveport, LA.
Mr. Stallings was born in Ocean Springs, MS and remained a lifelong resident of the coast. He was a 1997 graduate of St. Martin High School where he was a drummer in the band. Mr. Stallings was on active duty at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, LA and a member of the 2nd Security Forces Squadron. He was a member of McClellan Road Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Dessie Stallings.
Survivors include his parents, Joel K. Stallings Sr. and Karen Reece Stallings of Biloxi; a sister, Katy Clinton and her husband, Steve, of Valdosta, GA; a brother, Joel K. Stallings and his wife, Melanie, of Oxford, MS; his grandparents, Perry and Maisie Reece of Biloxi; and two ieces, Hayley and Elizabeth.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with full military honors.
Wanda M. St. Amant
BILOXI - Wanda M. St. Amant, 75, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mrs. St. Amant was a native of Lawrence and had been a resident of Biloxi since 1945. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi. She retired after 23 years of service as a practical urse at Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur St. Amant; a daughter, Kathy St. Amant Webb; her parents, Joseph and Carolyn Suslovitch; and a sister, Mary Burdick.
Survivors include two sons, Kenny St. Amant and Raymond St. Amant, both of Biloxi; a sister, Frances Berry of Great Falls, Mont.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, is in charge of arrangements.
Edward M. Wells III
Funeral: Noon at Riley Chapel United Methodist Church, Gulfport.
GULFPORT - Edward M. Wells III, 79, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, in New Orleans.
Mr. Wells was a native and resident of Gulfport. He was a member of Riley Chapel United Methodist Church of Gulfport where he served on several committees. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Holton Wells; his parents, Edward M. and Winnie Boyd Wells II; a brother, Mississippi and had lived in Gulfport since 1987. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Halsey E. "Hike" Wesley; her parents, Dave and Sallie Blackston; and her sister, Marion Shepherd.
Survivors include a daughter, Nan W. James of Gulfport; a son, David H. Wesley of Tallahassee, Parker of Gulfport and Patricia Brown of Seattle; four sons, Micheal Holliday, Harold Holliday, both of Union City, Calif., Horace Brown of Knoxville, Tenn., and Greg Ellis of Albuquerque, N.M; his mother, Ruth Enge of Meridian; a brother, Randy Enge of Gulfport; and six grandchildren.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hartwell's Christian Mortuary in Gulfport where friends may call an hour before service time. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
