William J. Ibs
PASS CHRISTIAN - William J. Ibs, 86, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, in Pass Christian.
Mr. Ibs had been a resident of Pass Christian for 19 years and was a former resident of New Orleans. He was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church in Pass Christian and the Pass Christian Yacht Club. He was a retired salesman.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Creger Ibs; and a son, William J. Ibs Jr., both of Pass Christian.
Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
Rainey Evans Jones
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at H.A. Memorial United Methodist Church in Wiggins.
WIGGINS - Rainey Evans Jones, 90, of Wiggins, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Jones was born May 8, 1910, in N.Y. Kim; three daughters, Miriam Lee, Sally Kendrick and Priscilla Harada; two brothers, George I.S. Kim, and Pong Ne Park; four sisters, Soon Ne Apilado, Margaret Duncan, Janet Finn, and Marjorie Orr; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A service was held at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at Borthwick Mortuary in Honolulu with burial in National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu. O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula and Gautier was in charge of arrangements.
Marcia Miles Riser
Funeral: 3 p.m. today at Sones Chapel Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
LONG BEACH - Marcia Miles Riser, 47, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Riser was a native of Picayune and was employed with Calif., and was an electrical technician with B E & K at Wellman.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Rutledge of Bay St. Louis; a son, Air Force E-3 Charles R. "Chaz" Rutledge III of Bay St. Louis; his father, Charles R. Rutledge Sr. of Springfield, Mo.; his mother and stepfather, Jane and Carl
Mims of Fairhope, Ala.; and a brother, Jim Rutledge of Springfield.
Visitation will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. A service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with burial in Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.
Marvin Odell Vinson
LONG BEACH - Marvin Odell Vinson, 81, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mr. Vinson had been a resident of Long Beach since 1991 and was a former longtime resident of New Orleans. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II and was a Mason. He was a port captain for Waterman Steamship Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alyce Vinson.
Survivors include two sons, Martin Odell Vinson of Booneville, Ark., and Alan Welch Vinson of Long Beach; a sister, Lillian Walker of Caraway, Ark.; and three grandchildren.
Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.

GULFPORT - Johnnie Applewhite, age unavailable, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, in Gulfport.

Carl B. Beckman
Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa.
MOSS POINT - Carl B. Beckman, 78, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, in Pascagoula.
Mr. Beckman was born June 3, 1922, and was a resident of Moss Point. He was a retired electrician for Ingalls Shipbuilding and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of IBEW, the VFW and Escatawpa Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Beckman; his parents; five sisters; and a brother.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Beckman of Escatawpa; three sons, Jerry C. Beckman of Fayetteville, N.C., Frankie D. Beckman of Amarillo, Illinois Central Railroad.
Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Chiney; a son, Charles Gibbs, both of Gulfport; a daughter, Virginia Mississippi Gulf Coast for 25 years. She was a retired trailer park manager and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Earl Cooper.
Survivors include four brothers, Sam McGowin, Clarence McGowin, Jack McGowin, all of Brewton, and Charles McGowin of Long Beach; and a sister, Clara Ruddel of Columbia, La.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport. Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Ave., Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
Earl Linwood Couch
Funeral: 10 a.m. today at Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi.
BILOXI - Earl Linwood Couch, 71, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, in Biloxi.
Mr. Couch was preceded in death by his father, James A. Couch.
Survivors include his mother, Lillie Mary Couch, and two brothers, James R. Couch and Derman Couch, all of Biloxi.
A service will be at 10 a.m. today at Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi where friends may call one hour before service time. Burial will be at 3 p.m. today at Bay Springs Cemetery in Bay Springs, Miss.
