Mildred B. Bosarge
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi.
ST. MARTIN - Mildred B. Bosarge, 73, of the St. Martin Community, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Bosarge was born in Searcy, Arkansas, and has been a resident of the St. Martin Community since 1968. She was a former telephone operator with South Central Bell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Doris Butler.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard James Bosarge; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and David Dobson of St. Martin; two sons and daughters-in-law, David W. and Linda Bosarge of Woolmarket, and Victor J. "Chicker" and Marian Dobson of Wilson, N.C.; two sisters, Linda Gonsoulin of Latimer and Kathryn Suarez of Ocean Springs; two brothers, James W. "Curly" Butler of Gautier and Billy Joe "Sunny" Butler of Vancleave; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Monday, June 5, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi, where friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
Stewart Calvin Broom Jr.
Funeral: Memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs.
OCEAN SPRINGS - Stewart Calvin Broom Jr., 83, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Broom was born August 31, 1917, in Ocean Springs. A graduate of the University of Mississippi Law School, Mr. Broom was a veteran of World War II and was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Stars, Purple Heart, and other citations for gallantry in action. He retired and returned home to Ocean Springs after a career as a land attorney with Duke Energy Corporation. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Sons of the American Revolution.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stewart Calvin Broom Sr., and Fannie Isabella Scarborough Broom; brothers, Burton and Harmon Broom; and sisters, Blondie Broom Hartmann and Ivan Broom Davis.
He is survived by sister Dixie Broom Knight of Ocean Springs and several nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs. The family prefers memorials to a favorite charity.
Barbara Beecye Buhler
Funeral: Graveside at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
NEW ORLEANS - Ms. Barbara Beecye Buhler, age 69, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, in New Orleans, LA.
Ms. Buhler was a native of Mobile, AL, and was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast and New Orleans. She was a former executive secretary for an oil and gas company.
Ms. Buhler was preceded in death by Clarence J. Buhler Sr., Clarence Buhler Jr., Thelma Buhler Clark, Mildred P. and Lawrence J. Kent Sr., and Lawrence J. Kent II.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. James (Bettye) White of Long Beach and Mrs. Rex (Lanee) Cooksey of Carriere; a niece, Mrs. Jerry (Ricki) Wade of Long Beach; a former brother-in-law, Harold C. Cobb of Waveland; three great-nieces, Robyn M. Cobb, Laura J. Wade and Kellie C. Wade; and one great-nephew, Adam J. Cobb.
Graveside services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue in Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
Sarah S. Calawor
Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Riemann Funeral Home in Long Beach.
GULFPORT - Mrs. Sarah S. Calawor, 94, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Calawor was a native of Columbia, S.C., and a resident of the Stone Mountain, GA, Ella Holmes-Hines and her husband, Merlon of Gulfport, Debra Huddleston and her husband, Johnnie of Lithonia, GA, Chiffon Holmes-Foster of Gulfport and Carole Schroeder Williams of Gulfport; two sons, Joe Louis Holmes of Gulfport and James Earl Holmes of Atlanta, GA; daughter-in-law, Donna Brown Holmes; two sisters, Carrie Bell Jackson of Chicago, IL, and Wilma Bass of New Orleans; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Thursday, June 1, 2000, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lockett-Williams Mortuary in Gulfport. The funeral service will be Friday, June 2, 2000, at 10 a.m. at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Gulfport. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
Marilyn Landrum
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Jackson County Funeral Services Chapel in Escatawpa.
PASCAGOULA - Marilyn "Goldie" Landrum, 52, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in New Orleans.
Mrs. Landrum was born Dec. 13, 1947, in Pascagoula and attended Kreole United Methodist Church. She was employed as a secretary for Alabama and had been a resident of Jackson County most of his life. He was retired from Dixie Upholstery and Glass Company and was a member of Pascagoula Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Belle Ward.
Survivors include his wife, Vonda Moffett of Hurley; a son, Bobby Earl Madison of Ocean Springs; a daughter, Cynthia Kay Griffin of Moss Point; three stepdaughters, Donna Wilson of Hurley, Janie Texas; a stepson, Edward "Bo" Haygood of Hurley; his stepfather, James Madison Ward of Big Point; a sister, Mary Ann Ward Cooper of Pascagoula; two brothers, James R. Ward and Johnny M. Ward, both of Pascagoula; and a number of grandchildren.
A service will be at 1 p.m. today at Jackson County Funeral Services Chapel in Escatawpa where friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time. A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.
Daniel Ray Moulder
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel in Long Beach.
LONG BEACH - Daniel Ray Moulder, 38, a resident of Long Beach, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Moulder was a native of Wiggins, and had been a lifelong resident of the Coast. He was a graduate of Harrison Central High School and worked in the construction industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Carolyn Pettis Moulder.
Survivors include two daughters, Terra Rae Moulder and Hillary Jane Moulder, both of Long Beach; three sisters, Kaye Davenport and Karen Jeanfreau, both of Long Beach, and Kim Ladner of Pass Christian; nieces, Monica Jeanfreau and Bailee Ladner; nephews, Rodney Davenport, Eric Davenport, Jacob Jeanfreau, Ben Jeanfreau, Trenton Jeanfreau and Brett Ladner; and other family members and close friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight (Friday) at the Riemann Funeral Home in Long Beach. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at the funeral home chapel, followed by burial in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.
David James Necaise
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel in Bay St. Louis.
BAY ST. LOUIS - David James Necaise, 44, of Bay St. Louis, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in Pass Christian.
Mr. Necaise was a native and lifelong resident of Bay St. Louis. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angeline Marie Necaise; a brother, Dale Necaise; and his grandparents, Olige and Ethel Necaise and Coburn and Louise Ladner.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine LaFontaine Necaise of Waveland; two sons, Davey Jo Necaise of Bay St. Louis and Destin James Necaise of Waveland; a daughter, Donna Marie Necaise of Carriere; his parents, Roland James and Bertha Ladner Necaise; two brothers, Randall Necaise of the Rocky Hill Community and James Necaise of the Dedeaux Community; three sisters, Darlene Woods of Theodore, AL, Charlene Favre and Bertina Burge, both of Bay St. Louis; and two grandchildren, Trace Andrew and Kyle Aaron Necaise of Bay St. Louis.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 2, 2000, from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m. at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. A prayer service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel in Bay St. Louis. Interment will follow at the Bayou Caddy Cemetery in Ansley.
