GULFPORT - Ms. Courtney Leigh McCrary, age 20 and a resident of Gulfport, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Gulfport.
Ms. McCrary was a native of Little Rock, AR, and had been a resident of South Mississippi Regional Center, 1170 West Railroad, Long Beach, MS 39560; or to St. Peter's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 1912 East Beach Boulevard, Gulfport, MS 39501.
Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.

BILOXI - Mrs. Mary M. Schelp, 77, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Gulfport.

Amanda Lauren Smith
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church in Jackson, Tenn.
KENOSHA, Wis. - Amanda Lauren Smith, 5, died Friday, April 28, 2000, in Baraboo, Wis.
Amanda was born Aug. 6, 1994, in Jackson, Tenn., and was a kindergarten student at Somers Elementary School. She had been a resident of Kenosha since 1999.
Survivors include her parents, Geoffrey and Sherry Smith; a brother, Ryan Smith, all of Kenosha; and her grandparents, Samuel and Rita McCreary of North Wildwood, N.J., Susan McCreary of Seneca, S.C., James and Robert White of Gulfport and George and Roberta Smith of Mobile.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church, 142 McClellan Road, Jackson. George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
The family prefers memorials to Grace United Methodist Church or the Montessori Center of Jackson.
Fern Stevens
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Charleston, S.C., and graveside at 11 a.m. Monday at New Palestine Cemetery in Picayune.
CHARLESTON, S.C. - Mrs. Fern Anderson Stevens, 93, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Charleston.
Mrs. Stevens was a native of Puckett and a former resident of Picayune. She was a retired antique dealer and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston. She was a graduate of Mississippi in Hattiesburg, where she received a bachelor of science degree in Elementary Education. She taught in Long Beach Separate Municipal School District and was vice-president at Adams Flowers, Inc., in Gulfport. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gulfport and a fifth grade Sunday School teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen D. Shaw and Norma Ruth Hitt Shaw.
Survivors include her husband, William Bert Adams of Gulfport; a daughter, Melissa Adams Stovall of Fort Worth, Texas; a stepson, Charles Arnold of Ansley; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis with recitation of the rosary at 8 p.m. A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with burial in Waveland City Cemetery.
Gordon Clinton Champagne Sr.
OCEAN SPRINGS - Gordon Clinton Champagne Sr., 63, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, in Biloxi.
Mr. Champagne was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a carpenter. Mr. Champagne was a former commercial fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erlise and Lela Champagne; a sister, Jenny Champagne; and two brothers, Erlise R. Champagne and Louis G. Champagne.
Survivors include four daughters, Rita Champagne and Theresa Champagne, both of Shirley, N.Y., Sonya Champagne and Elizabeth Champagne, both of Arkansas; a son, Clinton Champagne of Ocean Springs; two sisters, Lela Blanchard and Laura Gonzalas, both of Ocean Springs; a brother, Jake Champagne of Biloxi; and five grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service was held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi was in charge of arrangements.

GULFPORT - James L. Courtney Sr., 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mr. Courtney was sent from Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport to Allen Funeral Home in Morristown, Tenn., for services and burial.
