BILOXI - Mr. Elliott O'Bryant, 78, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, in Little Rock, Ark.
Arrangements are incomplete at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi.
John Peter Shepherd Jr.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Riemann Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi.
GULFPORT - John Peter Shepherd Jr., 75, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998, in Gulfport.
Mr. Shepherd was a native of Volga, Texas and Matilda Tannhill of Dayton, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Nancy Jane Reed Davis.
Surviving are her son, John Welsh IV of Lexington; daughter, Nancy W. Harris of Mississippi Baptist Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held today, November 28, 1998, at 3 p.m. at Madison United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Montgomery Cemetery. Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Miss., is in charge of arrangements. Visitation was from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home in Ridgeland, and friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Madison United Methodist Church.
Mr. Brunt was a native of Taft, Mississippi in 1950; he attended the University of Mississippi National Guard Reserve, as a Major.
Mr. Brunt worked for Sears from 1959-1974; from 1974-1978, he owned and operated a Bonanza Sirloin Franchise in Pascagoula and Lafayette, La. From 1978-1993, he worked for Holiday Inn and Ramada Inn as food and beverage Director in Jackson.
W.E. "Billy" Brunt of Jackson, Parker of Panama City, Fla., and Bobbie Easterling of Laurel; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. A service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel, with burial to follow in Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula.
Michael Dale Green
Funeral: 11 a.m. today at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.
OCEAN SPRINGS - Michael Dale Green , 35, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Green had been a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. He was employed with Hiller Systems. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge of Ocean Springs and Belle Fountain Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Kenneth and Dale Green ; a daughter, Katie Elizabeth Green ; two brothers, Sammy Green and John Green , all of Ocean Springs; and his grandparents, Ila Green and Erma Holloway, both of Soso, Miss.
Visitation was held Friday evening at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. A service will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with burial in Belle Fountain Baptist Church Cemetery in Ocean Springs.
James H. Holmes
GULFPORT - James H. Holmes, 80, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998, in Gulfport.
Mr. Holmes was a former longtime resident of Pearlington, where he was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Army, having an honorable discharge.
Survivors include seven daughters, Kim Homes Gardner of Slidell; four sons, Alex Lonnie Holmes of Waveland; and a host of grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at J.T. Hall Funeral Home Chapel in Gulfport, with burial in Biloxi National Cemetery.
