Audrey A. Scafidi
BAY ST. LOUIS - Mrs. Audrey Anderson Scafidi, 78, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 1998, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Scafidi was a native of New Orleans. She was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, August J. Scafidi Sr.; a son, August Joseph "Butch" Scafidi Jr.; her parents, Edward and Rosalie Morles Anderson; and a brother, George Anderson.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Scafidi; a daughter, JoAnn S. Hille, both of Bay St. Louis; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church where friends may call an hour before Mass. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
Lora L. Haas
KILN - Mrs. Lora Lee Haas, 66, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, in New Orleans.
Mrs. Haas was a native of Hancock County. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Kiln, VFW Post 6285 Ladies Auxiliary in Kiln and Kiln Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Haas; her parents, Roy G. and Alice Depreo Lee; a brother, Leroy Lee Sr.; and a sister, Lucille Lahman.
Survivors include her husband, Wallace E. Haas Sr. of Kiln; four sons, Wallace E. Haas Jr. of Long Beach, Cletus Hass of Matthews, N.C., Kyle Hass and Linus Haas, both of Kiln; four daughters, Barbara H. Lonnborg of Gulfport, Joan H. Lacoste of Kiln, Arlene H. Lacoste and Lela H. Bourgeois, both of Bay St. Louis; two sisters, Iris V. Lee of Wiggins and Bessie Necaise of Kiln; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 10 tonight at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis with recitation of the rosary at 8 p.m. A procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday for a noon Mass at Annunciation Catholic Church. Burial will be in Bayou CoCo Cemetery in Kiln.
Jessie S. Bradshaw
Jessie Shoemake Bradshaw, 94, of Dothan, Ala., died Sunday, Jan. 11, 1998, in Dothan.
Mrs. Bradshaw was born Oct. 12, 1903, in Collins and resided in Lucedale most of her life. She had been a resident of Dothan since 1983. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lucedale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Travis Bradshaw; a son, Bennie Burdette Bradshaw; a daughter, Catherine B. Wright; and a grandson, Steven Grantham.
Survivors include a son, Henry A. Bradshaw of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; two daughters, Helen B. Vise of Dothan and Mary B. Grantham of Gulfport; a brother, Dale Shoemake of Collins; a sister, Jewell Knight of Gulfport; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Magnolia Cemetery in Lucedale. Byrd Funeral Home, 3409 West Main Street in Dothan, is in charge of arrangements.
Albert A. Fleming
Albert Alfred Fleming, 79, of Nicholson died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, in Nicholson.
Mr. Fleming was a native of Benton. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum and a member of Cedar Grove Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Nicholson.
Survivors include a son, Larry Dee Fleming of Nicholson; three daughters, Alice Faye Fleming and Gloria Jean McKay, both of Nicholson, and Diane Farrell of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Ethel Mae Stockstill of Nicholson and Margaret Dees of Pearl River, La.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Sunday evening at Picayune Funeral Home. A service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Cedar Grove Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Nicholson.
Aubrey D. McGlawn
Mr. Aubrey Davis McGlawn, 78, of Helena died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, in Pascagoula.
Mr. McGlawn was born July 20, 1919, in Belzoni. He was a retired jointer with Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula. He was a member of Escatawpa Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Lynn McGlawn; and a brother, Bryant McGlawn.
Survivors include his wife, Vera J. McGlawn of Helena; four sons, Charles Davis McGlawn Sr. of Meridian, Archie Ray McGlawn of Biloxi, Titus Earl McGlawn and Edward Lee McGlawn, both of Pascagoula; a sister, Maggie McGlawn of Yazoo City; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Escatawpa Assembly of God Church where friends may call an hour before service time. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Magnoila Cemetery, 23rd Avenue in Meridian.
Martha Robinson
Martha Robinson, age unavailable, of Tarboro, N.C., and a former resident of 3706-20th Street, Gulfport, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, in Tarboro.

Larry Keith Walls, 45, of Alexandria, La., and formerly of Biloxi, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, in Slidell.

Katherine Rouse Ball
Mrs. Katherine Rouse Ball, 77, of Gulfport, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Ball was born in Saucier and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast area. She was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Head United Methodist Church in Harrison County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olivia Jordan and J.H. "Joe Bill" Rouse; and six brothers, Newton Rouse, Louie Rouse, Noah Rouse, Frank Rouse, Linas Rouse, and Paul Rouse.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Gwin R. Ball of Gulfport; two daughters, Mrs. Otto "Ernie" Pedersen and Mrs. Alex "Linda" Ware, both of Gulfport; two brothers, Harvey Rouse of Mobile, and Austin Rouse of Saucier; five sisters, Ester Saylor of D'Iberville, Ruth Madden and Winnie Simmons, both of Saucier, Elsie Latimer and Flora Leis Estes, both of Gulfport; five granddaughters, Misty Pedersen, Cynthia Ware and Lauren Johnsen, all of Gulfport, Cassandra Lewellyn of Houston, and Stacie Pedersen of Bridge City, Mississippi Peace Officers Association, and The Mississippi Law Enforcement Association.
Mrs. Pell was preceded in death by her parents, George and Maggie Murry Attaya; and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Kendall M. Pell Jr. of Long Beach and George A. Pell of Mesquite, N.Y., and Mark Showers of Biloxi; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday with a service at 7 p.m. at the Dickey Bros.-Chambers Bros. Funeral Services of Biloxi. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday for an 11 a.m. burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Vancleave.
Gertrude Johanna Normand
BAY ST. LOUIS - Gertrude Johanna Breecher Normand, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, in Slidell.
Mrs. Normand was a native of New Orleans and was a housewife. She was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Normand; and a son, Emmett D. Normand.
Survivors include two daughters, Darling N. Burrow of Kiln and Linda Lee N. Clower of Biloxi; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A service will be at 11 a.m. today at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel in Bay St. Louis where friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Gulf Pines Cemetery in Long Beach.
Miriam Picton Damiens
WAVELAND - Miriam Picton Damiens, 85, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Damiens was a housewife and a native of New Orleans.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Damiens Sr.; her parents, James and Robert Picton; two brothers, James Picton and Daniel Picton; and a sister, Roberta Townes.
Survivors include a son, Walter C. Damiens Jr. of Diamondhead; two daughters, Barbara Damiens Bourgeois and Carolyn Damiens, both of Waveland; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A service will be at noon Wednesday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel in Bay St. Louis where friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Green wood Cemetery in New Orleans.
