Howard Clayton Clements
Funeral: Memorial at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Gautier Presbyterian Church.
VANCLEAVE - Mr. Howard Clayton Clements Sr., 87, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1998, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Clements was formerly of Laurel and was retired from Masonite Corp. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a charter member of Gautier Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder emeritus.
Survivors include his wife, Aubin Wells Clements of Vancleave; a son, Clayton Clements of Clinton, La.; two sisters, Ruth Clements and Nell C. Moore, both of Laurel; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Gautier Presbyterian Church. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel. Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel is in charge of arrangements.

Katie M. Craig
GULFPORT - Mrs. Katie M. Craig, 80, died Friday, Aug. 28, 1998, in Gulfport.

Carolyn Sue Creel
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home Chapel in Houston, Texas - Carolyn Sue Creel, 51, passed away August 27, 1998, after a courageous battle with leukemia.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lynn Creel; two daughters, Holly Dalrymple and husband Brian, Mellisa Laud and husband Oscar; two granddaughters, Rebecca and Elise Dalrymple; her father, Richard Fleissner; a sister, Susan Fleissner; and two brothers, Stan Holtz and Michael Fleissner.
Her loving kindness joined together family and friends. Her strength was an example and inspiration.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 1998, at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home at 12800 Westheimer Road, in Houston, Texas.
Mr. DiLorenzo was born in Long Beach, and had been a resident all his life. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a past member of the Long Beach Auxiliary Police Department. He served on the Long Beach Port Commission and was a past member of the Long Beach Carnival Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Marian DiLorenzo; his parents, Anthony and Josephine DiLorenzo; a brother, Frank DiLorenzo; and a sister, Jennie Benigno.
Survivors include six sons, Tony DiLorenzo and his wife Anne, John DiLorenzo, James DiLorenzo and his wife Vicki, Ben J. DiLorenzo and his wife Tammy, David W. DiLorenzo and his wife Christine, and Thomas P. DiLorenzo and his wife Sharon, all of Long Beach; five sisters, Rosie LaRosa of Gulfport, Katie Compretta and Lena Chiniche, both of Bay St. Louis, and Josephine DiLorenzo of Long Beach; two brothers, Ben Joseph DiLorenzo of Long Beach and Salvadore A. DiLorenzo of Slidell, La.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with the rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. Monday going to St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.

Samantha Riling Engle
DIAMONDHEAD - Samantha Riling Engle, 45, died Monday, Aug. 24, 1998, in Diamondhead.
Ms. Engle was a native of Columbus, Florida.
A service was at 4 p.m. Friday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel in Bay St. Louis. Burial was in St. Joseph at Rotten Bayou Cemetery in Hancock County.
Casey France
FRANKLINTON, La. - Mr. Casey France, 36, of 44297 Mouton Tate Road, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998, in Franklinton.

Harold Emmett Jones
Funeral: Memorial at 2 p.m. Sunday at Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Moss Point.
GAUTIER - Harold Emmett Jones, 75, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1998, in New Orleans.
Mr. Jones was born Oct. 28, 1922, in Moss Point and served in the Navy during World War II and the Army during the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart. He served in the National Guard and Army Reserve attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was in law enforcement serving in numerous departments in the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy Herring Jones and Willie Etta Clark; and a sister, Aliece Jones Lindsay.
Survivors include his wife, Nita Posey Jones of Gautier; a daughter, Diane Skelton of Koller, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Beck's Funeral Home in Louisville. A service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Pleasant #2 in Noxapater with burial in the church cemetery. Beasley and Sons Funeral Home in New Albany is in charge of arrangements.
