PASCAGOULA - Michael Lance Groves, 21, died Friday, August 7, 1998, in Pascagoula.
Mr. Groves was a construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Shirley Groves.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, William and Renee Thompson III, all of Fort Lakes Community.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Monday at Magnolia Baptist Church in Vancleave. A service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the church, with burial in Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery in Vancleave. Holder-Wells in Moss Point is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral: 3 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Estes Chapel, in Picayune.
PICAYUNE - Mr. R.B. "Shorty" Jones, 90, died Saturday, August 8, 1998, in Picayune.
Mr. Jones was a native of Franklin County, an engineer and plant superintendent in the wood preserving industry, and a member of First Baptist Church in Picayune. He was also a member of the Rotary Club in Picayune.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Carol Frazier of Baton Rouge, La.; a son, Charles Ronald Jones of Durham, N.C.; a brother, Wallace Ray Jones of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune. A service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Estes Chapel, in Picayune, with burial in New Palestine Cemetery in Picayune.

Survivors include his mother, Stephanie Yvonne Ladner of Lakeshore; a sister, Mercedes Lynn Ladner of Gulfport; and his grandparents, Anna Marie Ladner Lewis of Lakeshore and Carl Lewis of Gulfport.

GULFPORT - Mr. Paul Marvin Potter, 60, died Friday, August 7, 1998, in Biloxi.
Mr. Potter was a native of Arkansas and lived on the Coast for four years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Yveta Potter.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Potter; three sons, Ronald Potter of Indiana, and Jack Potter of Tennessee. and Charles Kulbeth of Indiana.
A service will be at 3 p.m. today at Riemann Funeral Home chapel, U.S. 49, in Gulfport.

Mr. Teer was a student at Moss Point High School in Moss Point and a member of United Pentecostal Church in Grand Bay, Ala.
Survivors include his parents, Terrell and Faye Teer of Forts Lake Community; a brother, Ryan Teer of Pascagoula; and a grandmother, Evie Tolbert of Kreole.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at United Pentecostal Church in Grand Bay, Ala. A service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the church, with burial in Forts Lake Cemetery. Holder-Wells in Moss Point is in charge of arrangements.
Arthur Davis Crigler

MOBILE - Mr. Arthur Davis Crigler, 93, a native and resident of Mobile, and former resident of Ocean Springs, died at a local nursing facility Tuesday, August 4, 1998.
Mr. Crigler, a self-employed public accountant, was a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Springs and Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Mobile. He was also a member of the Knights of Revelry, Sons of the American Revolution, the Biloxi-Ocean Springs Board of Realtors and a founding member of the Mobile Genealogical Society.
Mr. Crigler was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Lewis Crigler and Annie Lee Davis Crigler Harvey; a sister, Clydine Broadway; and a daughter, Sylvia Anne Crigler Burton.
He is survived by his wife, Iris Callaway Crigler of Mobile; a son-in-law, Kenneth Lynn Burton Sr., of Chicago; three granddaughters, Chelley Bishop and Paige Cumbest, both of Gautier, and Wendy Ferrer of Biloxi; one grandson, Seaman Kenneth Lynn Burton Jr. of Mississippi.

POPLARVILLE - Mr. Ulysse L. Hyatt, 74, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998, in Biloxi.
Mr. Hyatt was a native of Pearl River County and was a retired heavy construction worker. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #4196. He was a member of Sherrard Byrd Lodge #353 in Poplarville, a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #100 in Poplarville and a board member of AARP Chapter #4521.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Hyatt of Poplarville; a son, David L. Hyatt of Vancleave; two daughters, Christine Pritchett of Mary Etta, Ga., and Judy Ann Willis of McHenry; two sisters, Lois Fay Dufloth and Christine Sly, both of Gulfport; a brother, Levon B. Hyatt of Houston, Michigan; and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 1998, at Riemann Funeral Home on Beauvoir Road in Biloxi. Funeral services will be at St. John's Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs on Saturday, August 8, 1998, at 2 p.m. A reception for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service in the Parish Hall. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Ocean Springs.
John R. Wolfe

OCEAN SPRINGS - John R. Wolfe, 62, died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998, in Biloxi.
Mr. Wolfe was born March 12, 1936, in Gallipolis, Texas; and his mother, Margaret Wolfe of Ocean Springs.
