Mrs. Burnette was a native of West Plains, Mo., and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis Glenn Burnette of Carriere; a son, Michael Carter Funeral Home in West Plains. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oak Lawn Cemetery in West Plains. Picayune Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

BILOXI - Mr. Charles M. Burt, 82, died Sunday, July 26, 1998, in Biloxi.

PASCAGOULA - Eloise Mitchell Hawley Crane, 60, died Thursday, July 30, 1998, in Pascagoula.
Mrs. Crane was born March 28, 1938, in Hacoda, Ala., and was a retired dispatcher for the Moss Point Police Department.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, E. Wayne Hawley; her parents, Phonso and Willie Mitchell; and three brothers, Norman Lee Mitchell, Charles Doye Mitchell and Roy Leon Mitchell.
Survivors include her husband, L.D. Crane of Pascagoula; two daughters, Onamecia Lofton of Pascagoula and LeTeSha Payne of Douglasville, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Cathy Mendez of Ocean Springs and Carla Texas; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel in Philadelphia, with burial in Sandtown Cemetery.
Wallace J. Fountain Sr.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
D'Iberville - Mr. Wallace J. Fountain Sr., 64, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, in Biloxi.
Mr. Fountain was a lifelong resident of the community and was a butcher with the Keesler Commissary. He was a veteran of Korea and served in the Navy. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Augustine Fountain.
Survivors include five daughters, Tammie Tillman of Woolmarket, Patricia Allen of Saucier, Jennifer Fountain of D'Iberville, and April Lee and Alicia Delaney, both of Picayune; a son, Wallace J. Fountain Jr. of D'Iberville; a sister, Joyce Myers of the Latimer Community; six brothers, Malcolm Fountain, John Fountain, Gilbert Fountain, Charles Fountain and Albert James Fountain, all of D'Iberville, and Elvin Fountain of Duluth, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi with recitation of the rosary at 6:30. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday for a 10 a.m. service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery.
James Quinton Gammill Jr.

PASCAGOULA - James Quinton "Jimmy" Gammill Jr., 48, died Thursday, July 30, 1998, in Pascagoula.
Mr. Gammill was employed with IPCO as a process manager and was an Army veteran of Vietnam. He was the past president and member of the Young Men's Business Club of Moss Point and was a member of Dantzler Memorial First United Methodist Church in Moss Point.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Gammill; two sons, Quinton Gammill III and Christopher Gammill; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.Q. Gammill Sr., all of Pascagoula; two brothers, George Gammill of Hurley and Charles Gammill of Pascagoula; and a sister, Candice McLeod of Laurel.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church in Pascagoula. Serenity Funeral Home in Pascagoula is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Catherine Guidry

ZACHARY, La. - Mary Catherine Guidry, 57, of 1120 Willow Creek St., died Sunday, July 26, 1998, in Zachary.
Mrs. Guidry was a native of Oakland, Md., and a homemaker. She was the religious education director at the Navy Chapel in Gulfport and was a member of CBC Memorial Chapel at the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Hamor.
Survivors include her husband, Peter Guidry, BUC USN Ret. of Zachary; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Maroney of Baltimore; a daughter, Christina Sowers of Zachary; four sons, Wendell Willey of Virginia Beach, Va., Richard Willey of Fairfax, Va., Gregory Willey of Augusta, Ga., and Shawn Willey of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Rosemary Littlejohn, Theresa Booz and Elizabeth Pierce, all of Baltimore; four brothers, Thomas Maroney, James Maroney, William Maroney and Michael Maroney, all of Baltimore; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the CBC Memorial Chapel at the Naval Construction Center in Gulfport

BILOXI - Mrs. Dorothy Sloop Heflick, age unavailable, of Biloxi, died Tuesday, July 28, 1998, in Pass Christian.
Mrs. Heflick was born in Steubenville, Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, now known as the Franciscan University of Steubenville. She was a graduate of the University of TX; four daughters, Carolyn Lee Kornman Znachko, Martha Kornman Atherton, Joenelle V. Kornman Schauger and Darleen Kornman Poulos, all of Biloxi; two sisters, Mary Margaret Kornman Wade and Joann Kornman DeGregorio, both of Biloxi; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, July 31, 1998, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Riemann Funeral Home, Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. The Rosary will be at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, August 1, 1998, at 10 a.m. from the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be in Southern Memorial Park Mausoleum in Biloxi.

MT. OLIVE - Robert McInnis, 89, died Monday, July 27, 1998, in Covington County.
Mr. McInnis was a retired construction worker and a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Irene Lee McInnis of Mt. Olive; five daughters, Maxie Avery of Gulfport, Helen Barnes of Lorman, Chellie Payne and Linda McInnis, both of Mt. Olive, and Shirley Hunter of New Orleans; two sons, R.J. McInnis of Gulfport and Rev. Gary McInnis; two sisters, Emma J. McInnis of Prentiss and Archie Flowers of Collins; a brother, Clyde Ohio, Catherine McGuffee and son-in-law David, Louise Keels and son-in-law Ed, Jane Glenn and son-in-law Kit, all of Gulfport; three sons, E. Foley Ranson and daughter-in-law Sheree of Ocean Springs, Robert L. Ranson of Gulfport, and Thomas A. Ranson and daughter-in-law Celeste of Lugoff, S.C.; three brothers, Richard L. Ranson of Algiers, La., Rodney A. Ranson of Mandeville, La., and Albert J. Ranson of Ceres, Mississippi.
He was born in Boonesboro, Maryland, in 1917. A Lutheran minister for over 50 years he served churches in Texas and New Mexico. Upon moving to Gautier he found Christus Victor Lutheran Church, a rewarding place to spend his retirement. He was extremely active in the Kiwanis Club and served in many capacities and had decades of perfect attendance.
He is survived by his son John and wife Janet of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and three grandsons. Also surviving are two grandsons, three great-granddaughters, a niece, many nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his son James Allen in 1973 and a brother, Kendig Rupley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1, 1998, at 11 a.m. at Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Springs. The family requests that memorials be sent to Christus Victor, 2755 Bienville Blvd., Ocean Springs, MS.
Burial will be in Charlestown, Calif., Bonnie Massengill of Royal Oaks, Mich., Lois Gant of Crump, Tenn., and Jean Hibbs of Summerville, S.C.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville. O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula is in charge of arrangements.
Christine Stokes

OCEAN SPRINGS - Mrs. Christine Stokes, 83, of Ocean Springs, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, in Jackson, Miss.
Mrs. Stokes was born in Yonkers, N.Y., retiring and moving to Ocean Springs in 1971. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Biloxi and was very active in the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cameron M. Stokes; her parents, Matthew and Philipena Rollwagen; and three sisters, Theresa Gray, Phyllis Bohm and Frieda Palmer.
Survivors include two sisters, Cathryn Lander of Garden City, S.C. and Emily Greiner of Saylorsburg, Pa.; five nieces, Gail Burney of Saylorsburg, Pa., Emma Poirier of Plainville, Mass., Danielle Poulos and Shirley Wilkerson, both of Ocean Springs and Beverly Waits of Long Beach; five nephews, Morano Jones of Pascagoula, John E. Jones of Gulfport, Bruce Greiner of Pennsylvania and Robert Bohm of Delaware; and a sister-in-law, Leona Stokes of Biloxi.
Visitation will be Friday, July 31, 1998, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. Saturday, August 1, 1998, there will be a 10 a.m. church service at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, where friends may call one hour before the service. Burial will be in Crestlawn Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Edgar Thomas and Elmer Thomas.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Thomas of Biloxi; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Kay) Vanderley of Biloxi and Barbara Jean Gullick of Phoenix; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Alma Emile Williams, 80, died Tuesday, July 28, 1998, in Charleston.
Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 8, 1919, in Gulfport and graduated from Gulfport High School. She was a homemaker and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Susie Randolph Talbot.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelley J. White of Wadmalaw Island, S.C., and Kendra Sue Linkowski of Summerville; a brother, Walter Talbot; a sister, Peggy Talbot, both of Gulfport; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A service will be at 1 p.m. today at Westminster Presbyterian Church with burial at a later date in Summerville Cemetery Mausoleum. Parks Funeral Home in Summerville is in charge of arrangements.
Annie Adams

GULFPORT - Mrs. Annie Webb Adams, 77, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Adams was born on Oct. 20, 1921, in Walthall County, and had been a resident of the Coast since 1951. She was a member of Kenwood Baptist Church and was employed at Sreling Drugs from 1959 until 1973.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose W. Adams; her father, Billy Webb; her mother, Courtney Webb Leet; a sister, Eva Brumfield; and two brothers, Arthur Webb and Eddie Webb.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Adams Grimsley of Sumrall; three sisters, Jenny Simmons of Gulfport, Marie Barber of Columbia, and Dena Hutchinson of Carson; and a brother, Otis Webb of Gulfport; and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport. A service will at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi.

BILOXI - Maj. John P. Quinn (Retired), known as "Pop" to his many friends died Friday, July 16, 1999, in Biloxi.
John was born in New York, New York, Texas; received his Professional Counselor's license from the state of Texas Department of Corrections' southern units. He was a professional member of the American Correctional Association, Calif., and Michael Edward Quinn of the Philippines; his daughters, Margaret A. Quinn of Dallas, and Patrice Marie Goldstein of Euless, N.Y., and Kathleen Marie Duchan of New Windsor, N.Y.; grandchildren, Brandy Patrice Quinn, Todd Gantzer, Leah Nava, Nailyn McNulty, Sol Goldstein, Kimberly Lurz; great-grandchildren, Chantlyn Nava, Matt Goldstein, Phillip Goldstein; nieces, Catherine Quinn, Sheila Quinn, Joanne Beers, Sheila Quinn, Kathleen Forget, Louise Duchan, Barbara Harned, Susan Harned, Nancy Harned and their families; nephews, Anthony Quinn, Peter Quinn, Chris Quinn, Danny Harned, Bobby Harned and their families. Survivors include her husband, Louis E. "Lou" Shaw Sr. of Escatawpa; four sons, Louis "Butch" Shaw Jr. of Escatawpa, Samuel G. Dilling of Gautier; her parents, Warren Bishop and Darlene Bishop of Helena; two sisters, Linda Stanley of Helena and Wuamita Dill of Purdy, Mo.; a brother, Walter Bishop of Wichita; and four grandchildren.

MOSS POINT - Carl Edward "Tra" Weinberg III, 27, died Friday, July 16, 1999, in Starkville.
Mr. Weinberg was born April 11, 1972, in Pascagoula and attended Mississippi State University.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Karen Lindsey Spencer and William A. Spencer of Grand Bay, Ala.; his father and stepmother, Carl E. Weinberg Jr. and Barbara Weinberg of Pascagoula; a sister, Sherry Archey of Big Point; and his grandmother, Dortha L. Weinberg of Mobile.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. A service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel, with burial in Grand Bay Cemetery in Grand Bay, Ala.

GREENWELL SPRINGS, La. - Shirley Seal White, a homemaker and a resident of Green well Springs, died at noon, Friday, July 16, 1999, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 61 and a native of Long Beach.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Vannie C. White Sr.; her father, William Austin Seal; her mother, Jewel Cayton; her stepmother, Inez Seal; and a brother, Donald Seal.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Vannie C. Jr. and Nerleen White of Green well Springs; four brothers, Richard Seal of Jackson, William Seal Jr. of Long Beach, Mike Seal of Hattiesburg, and Reece Seal of Abita Springs, La.; and five grandchildren, Melissa, Christina, Jason, Kacey and Lori White, all of Green well Springs.
Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., in Zachary, La., at 9 a.m. Monday until religious services at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Dale Phillips. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Baton Rouge.
