Annie M. Foster
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Annie M. Foster died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at Baptist-Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. She was 67.
Mrs. Foster was born in Edwards to Howard and Mary Ella Gordon. She was a supervisor for B&G Maintenance for 14 years. She was a former member of Mount Moriah Church of Edwards and attended Metropolitan M.B. Church in Kansas City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee A. Foster ; a son, James Henry Foster ; a daughter, Belinda Foster ; her father, Howard Gordon; one sister, Janette Carter; and three brothers, Andrew Gordon, John Gordon and Augustus Gordon.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Ella Gordon of Edwards; four sons, Samuel Foster , Lee Foster , Aldivon Foster and Patrick Foster ; five daughters, Annette Jones, Patricia Foster , Mary Foster , Terrion Foster and LaShawn Foster ; a sister, Nancy Collins; grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Moriah M.B. Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Funeral Home in Vicksburg.
D'Zevion Cornelius Lee
D'Zevion Cornelius Lee, infant son of Zack and Kitty Lee of Vicksburg, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at University of Mississippi Department of Transportation as a surveyor with 38 years of service. He was a member of the Catholic faith.
He was predeceased by a brother, Roland Peter Quirk Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bliss Quirk of Vicksburg; daughter, Sylvia Q. Brown of Vicksburg; grandson, Alexander Stephen Brown of Ridgeland; two sisters, Ethel Quirk of Pensacola, Fla., and Doris Collins of Monroe, La.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Brown and the Rev. Dural Ragsdale officiating. Burial will be at the Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday until the service.
Pallbearers will be Mike Robinson, Matthew Coleman, George Schwindling, Albert Schwindling, Roland Peter Quirk Jr., Jamie Ross, Phillip Jones and Jimmy McCaskill.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Quirk, James Harper, Ken Warren, Joe Durst, Dr. Walter Johnston, Harvey Luckett, Glen Waters, Glen Coleman, Otto Moore, Joe Schmidt, Leonard Waxler, Charles Robinson, James Russell Brown, Cameron Brown, Isaac Brown, Vardaman McGuffie, Willie Warnock, Jim Park and Bill Park.

John W. Stennett Sr.
TALLULAH - John W. Stennett Sr. died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah. He was 89.
Born in Pineville, Miss., Mr. Stennett had lived in Tallulah for five years. He was a retired oilfield production foreman.
He is survived by two sons, Leonard Thomas Stennett of Thibodaux, La., and John W. Stennett Jr. of Temple, Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 76.
Mrs. Chatman was a resident of Bolton.
She was preceded in death by one son, Pierre Davis; her parents, William and Mamie Barnes; two sisters, Narrie Barnes and Mary Henderson; and two brothers, William Barnes Jr. and Albert Barnes Sr.
She is survived by a daughter, Lolita Morales of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Christine Crishom of Kankakee, Ill., Zenobia Pless of Kansas City, Mo., and Arlinda Rahn of Omaha; and 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Thursday at Mount Lula M.B. Church in Rolling Fork with the Rev. A.L. Hodo officiating. Burial will follow at Green Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.
Jean G. Tompkins
Jean G. Tompkins died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 78.
A native of Bristol, Conn., Mrs. Tompkins lived in Jackson for a number of years and had been a Vicksburg resident for the past 15 years. She was a homemaker and member of the Friendship Club of Parkwood South Apartments.
She is survived by a son, Thomas E. Tompkins of Jackson; a daughter, Patricia T. Martin of Vicksburg; one brother, James Gallagher of Plainville, Conn.; one sister, Janet St. Pierre of Plainville; two grandsons; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service.

George Wilson Jr.
PORT GIBSON - George Wilson Jr. died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at his home in Port Gibson. He was 69.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Jennings of Hermanville; and a brother, Walter Wilson of Port Gibson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter A.M.E. Church in Port Gibson. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery on Grand Gulf Road under the direction of Westhaven Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Friday at the church.
Frankie Sue Henry Grisham
Frankie Sue Henry Grisham died Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Starkville Manor Nursing Home. She was 67.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Welch Funeral Home.
Elizabeth Watkins Ware
STURGIS -- Funeral services for Elizabeth Watkins Ware will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Sturgis Methodist Church. Burial will be in Sturgis Cemetery. The Rev. Lavell Woodrick will officiate.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Nowell Funeral Home in Ackerman.
Mrs. Ware died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at Oktibbeha County Hospital. She was 78. She was a homemaker, housewife, and a member of Sturgis Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Ronnie Ware of Sturgis; one daughter, Kathy Wilson of Plano, Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was 73.
Edward McMorris
Funeral services for Edward McMorris will be held today at 1 p.m. at Peter's Rock Church of God in Christ. Supt. Joseph Hawkins will officiate. Visitation was held Dec. 8 from 1-7 p.m. at West Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at 16th Section Cemetery.
Mr. McMorris died on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003 at Oktibbeha County Hospital. He was 49.
