Services were held Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at Moore Funeral Home for Christopher Lynn Morris, 38, of Lumberton, who died unexpectedly June 6 at his home.
Rev. Bill Brown and Rev. Clay Ingram officiated. Interment was in Coaltown Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Morris, Micky Morris, Jeremy Parker, Steve Morris, Rusty Morris, and Steve Thornton.
Mr. Morris was a native of Hattiesburg and was in the construction business. He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher Morris, Jr., and Justin Hall, both of Hattiesburg; two daughters, Shambra Morris of Sumrall, and Heather Morris of Hattiesburg; his parents, Larry Morris, Sr., and Mary Ann Morris, both of Seminary; four brothers, Larry Morris, Jr., of Petal, Isaac Morris of Poplarville, Buddy Overstreet of Natchez, and Jamie Roberts of Sumrall; five sisters, Vicki Van Allen of Lumberton, Jeri Elisa Turner and Marie Gill, both of Petal, Kandy Pruitt of Kenner, La., and Denise Thomas of Bogalusa, La.; grandmothers, Alice Morris of Hattiesburg, and Lillie Crabtree of Ellisville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Moore Funeral Home of Hattiesburg was in charge of arrangements.

PURVIS
Services were held Tuesday, June 16, 2003, at Moore Funeral Home for Bernice Morrow, 56, of Purvis, who died June 14 at Wesley Medical Center.
Rev. Eugene Haden officiated. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Born in Lumberton, Mrs. Morrow was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elery Morrow.
Survivors include a daughter, Amy Nobles of Purvis; a son, Eric Morrow of Purvis; her mother, Marie Johnson of Lumberton; a brother Ricky Johnson of Lumberton; a sister, Carolyn Lee of Lumberton; and a grandson, Wyatt Nobles of Purvis.
Moore Funeral Home of Purvis was in charge of arrangements.

PURVIS
Services were held Thursday, June 12, 2003, at Preston Pippen, 65, of Laurel, who died June 9 at South Central Regional Medical Center.
Burial was in Sunset Gardens in Laurel.
Mr. Pippen retired from Central Hydraulic Inc., and was a member of First Baptist Church of Shady Grove.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Buckley Pippen of Laurel; his mother, Adele Ellison of Laurel; a son, Richard Pippen of Laurel; a daughter, Maria Pippen of Laurel; two sisters, Gwen Hester and Deborah Kitchens, both of Laurel; and two brothers, Johnnie Pippen of Pantego, Texas; three daughters, Melissa Runnels of Austin, Texas, and Ashley McGaughey of Lufkin, Alabama; and two grandchildren.

HATTIESBURG
Memorial services were held Friday, June 13, 2003, at Riemann Funeral Home for Edna A. Smith, 74, of Hattiesburg who died June 8 in Hattiesburg.
Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Pass Christian and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mary McKay Armstrong.
Survivors include her husband, Emile J. Smith, Sr.; six sons, Barry M. Smith of Waveland, Adonis Armstrong of Long Beach, Emile J. Smith, Jr., of Bay St. Louis, Donald A. Smith of Pass Christian, Michael G. Smith of Freeport, Fla., and Lloyd S. Armstrong of Gulfport; two daughters, Donna M. Griffin and Mary Ann Green , both of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Etta M. Breaux, Clementine Armstrong, and Clay Lee Guillotte, all of Pass Christian; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

LAUREL
Services were held Thursday, June 12, 2003, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home for Alta Eubanks Wade, 92, of Laurel, who died June 9 at her residence.
Burial was in Big Creek Cemetery in Jones County.
Mrs. Wade was a retired school teacher and a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Morgan of Laurel; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memory Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel was in charge of arrangements.
JACK DARRELL WEBB
HATTIESBURG
Services were held Monday, June 16, 2003, at Moore Funeral Home for Jack Darrell Webb, 70, of Hattiesburg, who died June 13 at Forrest General Hospital.
Dr. Russell Bush, Dr. Jon Stubblefield, and Rev. Bob Jones officiated.
Interment was in Highland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jack Cook, J. P. Merritt, Davie Atterberry, Larry Douglas, Mark Brock, and Richard Davis. Honorary pallbearers were John Morehead and members of the Hut Sunday School Class of Main Street Baptist Church.
Mr. Webb was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Webb of Hattiesburg; four sons, Steve Wallace of Biloxi, Robert Webb and Tammy Webb, both of Birmingham, Ala., and Chris Webb of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Randy C. Hammond of Birmingham, Ala.; and ten grandchildren.
MOLLIE E. WHITE
COLUMBIA
Services were held Friday, June 13, 2003, at Colonial Funeral Home for Mollie E. White, 78, of Columbia, who died June 11 at Marion General Hospital.
Burial was in Lott Cemetery.
Mrs. Whaite was a seamstress for the Parachute Manufacturing Company. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and attended May’s Creek Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Stringer and Paul White, and a son, Hackie Stringer.
Survivors include a son, Jackie Stringer of Columbia; three daughters, Veta Broom of Columbia, Reba Miller of Sandy Hook, and Frances Blackwell of Columbia; a sister, Geneva Holmes of Columbia; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Columbia was in charge of arrangements.
LILLIE WILLIAMSON
ELLISVILLE
Services were held Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home for Lillie Mae Williamson, 84, of Ellisville, who died June 8 at South Central Regional Medical Center.
Burial was in Liberty Cemetery in Jasper County.
Mrs. Williamson retired from the Laurel Charity Hospital and was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Frank Williamson of Iuka, Jack Williamson of Laurel, and Carolis Williamson of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Winnie Williamson Thrash of Laurel; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

HATTIESBURG
Services were held Saturday, June 16, 2003, at Greater Trueway Apostolic Church for Hattie Mae Winters, 72, of Hattiesburg, who died June 8 at Forrest General Hospital.
Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Wilie James Reedy of Jamaica, Calif., and Annette Lamar Adams of San Joe, Calif; four brothers, Horace Reedy of Hattiesburg, Emmanuel Reedy of Monticello, Eli Reedy of Los Angeles, and Purvis Reedy of Aiken, S.C.; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Hall-Fairley’s Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
RICHARD B. YAWN
FLORENCE
Services were held Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at Billy M. King-Colonial Funeral Home for Richard Barry Yawn, 52, of Florence, who died June 6 at Maryview Medical Center in Portmouth, Virginia.
Burial was in Oakdale-Saulters Cemetery in Covington County.
Mr. Yawn was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Yawn; mother, Trudie Yawn McKenzie; stepfather, Buford McKenzie; stepmother, Mary Nell Yawn; and a son, Terry Paul Yawn.
Survivors include two sons, Richard A. Yawn of Seminary and Barry Tatum Yawn of Florence; a sister, Marie Yawn of Hattiesburg; three brothers, Joe Yawn of Collins, Harold Yawn, and Jerry McKenzie of Sumrall; and a grandchild.
