Josie Hollingsworth Busbin
Services for Mrs. Josie Hollingsworth Busbin, 92, of Sallis were held Wednesday at noon at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Palmer Cemetery at Hesterville.
Mrs. Busbin died June 26, 2004 at the University Hospital of Lexington.
She is survived by a daughter, Estelle Perry of Sallis; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband John H. Brown and sons, infant Doyle Brown and John A. Brown.
George Leonard Cain Sr.
Services for George Leonard Cain Sr., 73, of Corinth were held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in Corinth. Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m. in the Sallis Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Cain officiating.
Cain, a native of Sallis, died June 22, 2004 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was retired from the Mississippi.
He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany for two years. He returned home to coach football at McAdams and Meadville. He became the principal of Franklin High School, then joined the Texas; six grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Pilgrim of Vicksburg, Mary Grace McClellan of Sallis and Mildred Lindsay of Kosciusko; a brother, E.A. Cain of Birmingham, Ala.
Pallbearers were four grandsons Joe, Ben, Lee and Blake Cain, Billy Whitehurst and Ted Alexander.
Honorary pallbearers were his former students of the 1958 championship Tangipahoa Conference of Franklin County, and his former high school football team members from Sallis High School.
Culpepper Funeral Home handled local arrangements.
Charlie J. Ferguson
Services for Charlie J. Ferguson, 73, of Kosciusko were held June 24 at 1 p.m. at First M.B. Church with burial in Parkway Cemetery.
Ferguson, a concrete finisher, died June 20, 2004 at the Attala County Nursing Center following an illness of several weeks. He was a member of New Bethel M.B. Church at Sallis.
He is survived by four daughters, Shirley Winters, Mary Ferguson, Magnolia Bibbs all of Kosciusko and Kate Sanford of Shreveport, La.; four sons, Charles Ferguson, J.C. Ferguson, Lawrence Ferguson and Juan Ferguson all of Kosciusko; 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
Rev. Simeon Johnson officiated.
Serving as pallbearers were Jeremy Ferguson, Gerald Ferguson, Antiwon Ferguson, Terry Brown, Charles Latez Ferguson, Eric Shaw and Tony Jones.
Lula Pearl Foster
Services for Mrs. Lula Pearl Foster , 83, of Kosciusko were held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Winters Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Marble Rock Cemetery.
Mrs. Foster , a native of Attala County, died June 2, 2004 following an illness of several days. She was a member of Joint Heirs with Christ Outreach.
She is survived by three daughters, Julia Ann Foster Walker of Columbia, S.C., Louiza Dixon of Kosciusko, Emma Williams of Milwaukee; four sons, Samuel Edward, Elbert William and Marvin all of Kosciusko and Laddie Moore Jr. of Jackson; two sisters, Virgie Lene Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Jo Peeples and Emmie Fulgham, both of West Point; three grandchildren, three step grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, eight step great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and eight step great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Farris Hodges of Millington, Tenn.; five sisters, Pauline Moore of Birmingham, Ala., Betty Villanveva of Bartow, Fla., Joyce Stevens of Baton Rouge, La., Bonnie Lois Lee of Raymond and Vonda Simpson of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Emmett Adcock in 1950 and Bill Ramage in 1981.
Officiating ministers were Dr. James Lowery, Rev. Roy Myers and Rev. Jim Young.
Pallbearers were Elbert A. Smith, Emmett Armstrong, Gerald Armstrong, Joe Pratt, Dewitt Adcock and Roy Moore.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. R.T. Lott, Dr. Robert Dunn, Dr. Edmund A. Miller, staff of Dugan Memorial Home and staff of North Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko.
He is survived by two daughters, Diane Middleton of Wesson and Gayle Self of Vaiden; a son, Don Peninger of Jackson; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilson Peninger and G.W. Peninger.
Pallbearers were Ralph Self, Shannon Self, Sammy Moore and Bo Porter.
Milling Funeral Home of Union was in charge of arrangements.
Alice Lucille B. Alliston
Graveside services for Mrs. Alice Lucille Berryhill Alliston, 95, of Lexington were to be held today (Thursday) at 10 a.m. at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.
Mrs. Alliston, a native of Hinds County, died Aug. 2, 2004 at her residence. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by three sisters, Yvonne B. Travis of Ridgeland, Nettie B. Atwood of Raymond and Ethel B. Purvis of Jackson; five nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas Alliston. They made their home in Hattiesburg for many years and after his death she moved to Jackson before making her home in Lexington.

Raymond Boyd Beauchamp
Funeral services for Raymond Boyd Beauchamp, 70, of Moss Point, formerly of Kosciusko, were held July 28 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa.
Masonic rites were conducted at the graveside in Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula.
Beauchamp, a native of Attala County, died July 26, 2004 in Pascagoula. He was the owner-operator of Jackson County Wrecker Service, a member 32nd Degree Mason with Masonic Lodge No. 419, member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical workers Local 903, a Shriner with the JOPPA Temple of Biloxi, and a member of the Scottish Rites in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Mitchell and Ruby Lee Beauchamp; brother, Charles (Shorty) Beauchamp; sister, Betty Merle Rush.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Beauchamp of Moss Point; son, Danny Beauchamp of Pascagoula; daughters, Terrie Trehern of Pascagoula, Tonya Coleman of Pascagoula; brothers, Kenneth Beauchamp, Lavonne Beauchamp, both of Kosciusko; sisters, Mildred Jenkins of Kosciusko and Berstenne Edwards of Maben; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Brissie Carr Davis
Services for Mrs. Brissie Carr Davis, 94, of Sallis were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church No. 2 with burial in Roby Cemetery at Goodman.
Mrs. Davis, a retired nurse's aid, died July 29, 2004 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital following an illness of several weeks. She was a native of Attala County and a member of Pleasant Grove No. 2 M.B. Church.
She is survived by six sisters, Minnie Cotton of Sallis, Linnie Haynes of Jackson, Mary Alice, JoAnne, Claradelle and Od; a brother, Samuel Harvey of Sallis.
Rev. Larry T. Daniels officiated with Winters Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
