Linda Hall
COLUMBUS - Linda Hall, 63, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. She was born July 9, 1939, in Union to Aarron Conner and Annie Lucile Gibson Conner. She had lived in Columbus for 30 years. She was a manager and department head at Kmart Department Store.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus with Bro. Ed Knox officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Baptist Cemetery in Ripley.
Survivors include her husband, James K. Hall Sr. of Steens; a daughter, Wanda Hall Lancaster and husband, Phil, of Hamilton; a son, James K. Hall Jr. and wife, Dale, of Columbus; a sister, Barbara Tork and husband, Lee, of Houston, Texas, Devon Conner of Tyler, Mississippi Medical Center. He was born May 31, 1943, to Charles Duncan and Ina Riley Duncan of Dorsey. He was a truck driver and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed model trains.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Senter Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Terry Coleman and Bro. Merle Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Dorsey Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, David Duncan and special friend, Helen Byars, of Pontotoc; a sister, Sarah Tolleson and husband, Billy, of Mantachie; a brother, Richard Duncan and wife, Martha, of Dorsey; several nieces and nephews; three great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Duncan, Bobby Tolleson, Vern Caygle, Scott Jeffries, B.J. Duncan Jr., Kenneth Duncan, Carroll Kyle, Lamar Swindall, Bill Shumpert and Jerry Iverson.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to service time today.
Shirley Kilgore
OKOLONA - Shirley Ann Tidwell Kilgore, 67, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at her home after an illness of one year. She was born July 11, 1935, in New Albany to the late Q.C. Tidwell and Mabel Dyson Tidwell Claburn. She lived most of her adult life in Chickasaw County. She was a homemaker and an active member of the New Hope Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Okolona Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William "Bill" Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park in Verona. Lee Memorial/Okolona Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Kilgore of Okolona; her mother, Mable Claburn of Okolona; her children, Suzanne Bailey and husband, Joel, of Tupelo, David Kilgore of Birmingham, Ala., J.R. Kilgore and wife, Denise, of Okolona, and Tony Houston of Tupelo; six grandchildren, Michelle Bruce and husband, Jacob, of Shannon, Kim South and husband, Jason, of Tupelo, Morgan Redwine and husband, Marc, of Mantee, Matthew Kilgore of Sulligent, Ala., Corey Houston of New Albany and Andy Houston of Tupelo; a sister, Sue McLennan of Hernando; two special friends, Joyce Jolly of Houlka and Rose Courson of Hickory Flat.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Kilgore, Corey Houston, Marc Redwine, Jacob Bruce, Jason South and Michael Fowler.
Visitation will be from noon to service time today at Okolona Funeral Home.

Lena M. Brown
FULTON - Lena M. Brown, 71, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at the North Mississippi Highway Patrol for 27 years. He worked 18 years in the Leland area and nine years in the Iuka area. After leaving the Highway Patrol, he was a deputy for the Tishomingo County Sheriff's Department and worked 10 years for the City of Iuka Gas and Water Department. He attended Rocky Springs United Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with the Rev. Tommy Jennings officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery with full Honor Guard ceremonies provided by the Carter on Nov. 16, 1929; she died in 2003.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Elder Tim Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Hatley Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Ella Ruth Ritter Patterson of Amory; three grandchildren, Bobby Harmon II and wife, Sue, and Richard "Randy" Harmon and wife, Rene, all of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Caroline Wiggington and husband, Scott, of Amory; nine great-grandchildren, Bo Harmon, Justin Aquira, Hilary and Hailey Harmon, Tristen Harmon, Dalton and Hope Smith, and Brandon and Alison Wiggington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and six brothers, Charlie, Roland, Rex, Fred, Early and Henry Ritter.
Pallbearers will be Harold, Hal and Patrick Holloway, Van Rogers, Warner "Butch" Berry, John Comer, Scott Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness. He was born July 12, 1943, in Nashville, Tenn., to the late Dallas and Pauline McCutcheon. He was an employee of the Thomas Street Postal Service in Tupelo and a member of the Temple of Compassion and Deliverance Church. He loved his job and was a devoted husband and father.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Temple of Compassion and Deliverance Church in Tupelo. N.L. Jones Funeral Directors of Tupelo is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Sue McCutcheon, whom he married June 29, 1991; a stepdaughter, Tameeka Johnson of Tupelo; a granddaughter, Qunesha Turner of Tupelo; a brother, Howard McCutcheon and wife, Pat, of Nashville, Tenn.; a special nephew, Tim McCutcheon and wife, Becky, of Nashville; a godson, Daniel Walton of Tupelo; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph "Jerry" McCutcheon, Douglas "Sonny" McCutcheon and Everette "Lee" McCutcheon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ronnie McCutcheon Scholarship Fund at The Temple of Compassion and Deliverance Church, 1148 N. Madison St., Tupelo MS 38804; or Trustmark National Bank for the Ronnie McCutcheon Scholarship Fund at The Temple of Compassion and Deliverance Church.

Martin Jordan
BLUE SPRINGS - Martin Jordan, 99, died Monday, April 7, 2003, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility after a long illness. He was a barber in Baldwyn and New Albany, retiring after more than 50 years. He was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn with Bro. Felix Hutcheson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Camp Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Jordan and wife, Charlene, of Tupelo, and James Jordan and wife, Annie Laurie, of Jackson; a sister, Ruedell Carden of Little Rock, Ark.; six grandchildren, Lynn and Steve Maners, Holland and Lisa Jordan, Timothy Jordan, Brent and Shona Jordan, Kent Jordan, and Leslie and Bill McDonald; 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Nervia Holland Jordan; a son, Hoyle Jordan; a brother, Alvin Jordan; and a sister, Jennie Bell Wagner.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy and Mirl Gibson, Ramsey Billingsley, Ralph Smith, Steve Maners, Brent Jorday, Spence Maners, Bill McDonald and Kent Jordan.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Airer'Haitain Calvert
PRAIRIE - Airer'Haitain Dreion Calvert, 5, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at the Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center in Memphis. He was born May 23, 1997, to Anthony Calvert and Casandra Orr. He was a kindergarten student at the Eastside Elementary School. He loved all animals, and enjoyed fishing and playing his guitar at his grandfather's church. He was a bright student.
Services will be at noon Friday at the Bryan Union Hall in West Point with the Rev. Curtis Orr officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Plains Cemetery. Williams Memorial Funeral Home of Okolona is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, Anthony Calvert of West Point and Casandra Orr of Prairie; two brothers, Kahj Orr of Prairie and Travion Walker of West Point; his grandparents, the Rev. Willie C. and Christine Orr of Prairie, and Lonnie and Cathy Davidson of West Point; his great-grandparents, Will and Ernestine Gunn of Aberdeen, Sam and Mamie Calvert of Cedar Bluff, and Frank and Rowena Davidson of West Point; four aunts, Sonya Calvert and husband, David, of Cedar Bluff, Dayonca Davidson, Bridgett Davidson and Ashley Davidson, all of West Point; four uncles, the Rev. Willie K. Orr and wife, Pamela, of Prairie, Carlos Orr and wife, Debra, of Aberdeen, Frederick Orr and wife, Brenda, of Prairie, and Lonnie Davidson Jr. of West Point.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
William Sims
LOS ANGELES - William Albert Sims, 86, died Oct. 2, 2002, in Los Angeles. He was born June 27, 1916, in Tupelo. He was retired from the automotive parts industry, in which he was an independent business owner in Los Angeles for more than 40 years. He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force in both World War II and the Korean War, attaining the rank of captain. He flew more than 267 combat hours in 50 combat missions over Italy, France, the Balkans and North Africa. His decorations and citations include six Bronze Stars, a Unit Citation, an Air Medal, a Korean Service Medal and a United Nations Service Medal.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Auburn Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Burt officiating.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Sims of Los Angeles; a sister, Mamie Marlin of Tupelo; his wife, Avis Chapman Sims of Banning, Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors.
Howard Barry
BOONEVILLE - Howard Irving Barry Jr., 65, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was born Aug. 31, 1937, in Prentiss County to Howard Irving Barry Sr. and Laura B. Barry. He was a retired machine operator for Brown Shoe Company. He later worked for the Booneville Gas and Water Department. He was a Mason, and a member of Carolina United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. An avid baseball fan, he coached the Brown Shoe Company baseball team and coached Little League for many years.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Hankins and Bro. Danny Minnix officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Nelms and husband, Michael, of Stantonville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Megan Barry and Dallas Nelms; a sister, Amy Jo Moore and husband, David, of Booneville; two nephews, Stewart Moore and wife, Jennifer, and Joel Moore; a niece, Katie Moore; a stepbrother, Wyatt A. Stewart III of Washington D.C.; a stepsister, Betty Stewart of Jackson, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Carroll Ivy, James Stanley Long, Thomas Keenum, Doc Gullett, Bill Ward, Jeff Williams and Kent Dees.
Visitation will continue at the funeral home until service time today.
