PARENTS: Anton Gustafson and Hulda (Pederson) Gustafson
Evert attended schools in Anaconda and Deer Lodge and graduated from Deer Lodge High School in 1939. He began college in 1940 at Northwest Christian College in Eugene, Oregon and was ordained as a minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 1941.
Evert married Virginia McKittrick on September 9, 1943 in Billings, Montana. She passed away on February 23, 1970. He later married Elynor Bopp.
Gus served the Camp Creek Christian Church from 1941 to 1945, the Goshen Christian Church from 1946 to 1948, the Conrad Christian Church in 1949, and the Miles City Christian Church from 1950 to 1954. In 1954 Gus moved his family to Glasgow where he served the Glasgow Christian Church and went into business for himself in the Glasgow Body Shop. In 1958 he changed his business to the Glasgow Glass and worked as a contractor of primarily glass, flooring, and insulation. The Glasgow Christian Church closed in 1969. After that time Evert pastored in the Methodist Churches in Glasgow, Opheim, Hinsdale, and Saco, and served the Congregational Churches in Malta and Glasgow. He also filled in for pastors in Glasgow and performed many weddings and funerals throughout northeastern Montana.
At different times he was a member of the Lions, Kiwanis, and the Elks.
He loved theatre and music. He had a great love for his family and the members of his churches and the people of northeastern Montana.

Cliff attended schools and graduated from Glasgow High School. After school he broke horses, he worked with horses and cattle all his life.
Cliff married Marie J. Vorell in Glasgow on June 22, 1938. He worked on the construction of the Fort Peck Dam. Cliff served in the US Navy during World War II, serving on the USS Missoula. After the war he returned home and started ranching, ranching was his life. He enjoyed visiting, playing the piano and the fiddle. He played for dances, if it had a string on it, he could play it. He made a good pot of beans and was a charter member of the Valley Ridgerunners.

Beatrice Murch, 94, Valley County native, died Friday, December 9, 2005 at the Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow of natural causes.
Beatrice Evelyn Zieger was born north of Hinsdale, Montana on April 23, 1911, the ninth of 13 children to Irvin and Mary Zeiger. She was the first in her family to be born in Montana, her family had emigrated from Pennsylvania the previous year to homestead the plains of Eastern Montana.
She married Dewey Murch on August 20, 1930. They lived in Nashua where they raised their five children. Bea excelled at baking doughnuts and orange cookies and always offered them to guests, often sending some along home. Bea relished being able to live in her own home in good health past the age of 94, though she regretted her declining eyesight and hearing ability. She treasured having her grand and great-grandchildren come to visit her, always remembering the birthdays of her large, extended family. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She loved fishing out at Fort Peck and watching the Lawrence Welk Show with her husband every Saturday evening.
She especially loved gardening and flowers. Her grandkids and great grandkids could do no wrong. She made baby quilts and big quilts for all in her family. Beatrice always made it to the ball games in Nashua.

Rusty lived his entire life on the Nickels Ranch. He attended school in Nashua and had to quit school after his sophomore year because all the hired men had to go to fight World War I. Rusty had to do the work on the ranch.
Rusty married Bernice Marie Bunk on March 13, 1951 in Wolf Point, Montana. He was an avid reader, raised longhorns, and was a great mechanic.
He loved practical jokes, telling stories, and loved to cook. Rusty also enjoyed dancing, flying, and was an avid coin collector.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Bernice, in December of 2003, and by a daughter Carla Jean.
