Gladys was raised south of Harlowton on a ranch near Melville, Montana. She met and married Robert Fulton on September 12, 1947 in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.
They started ranching north of Harlowton where Robert also worked on the railroad where they raised their family. Gladys worked as a ranch wife and also owned and operated the Hitching Post Bar in Judith Gap for a number of years. Later she moved to Lewistown, Montana and then to Glasgow in 2001, where she lived at the Nemont Manor and Prairie Ridge. She was a member of the Eastern Star and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Gladys enjoyed crocheting and knitting, reading, crossword puzzles, and was a John Wayne fan.

MALTA-Patricia Maureen (O’Connell) Stone, 70, of Malta, a retired cook, died Thursday, April 03, 2008 at home of natural causes.
A wake is scheduled for Sunday, April 6, 2008, 7:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Malta. Funeral Mass will be Monday, April 7, 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Jim O’Neil officiating. Memorials may be made to the Malta Food Bank or charity of choice. Interment of cremated remains will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Great Falls at a later date. Adams Funeral Home of Malta is handling arrangements.
Pat is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline (Jared) Laursen of Reno, NV; sons David (Terri) Skiff and Greg (Katie) Skiff both of Malta; brother, Patrick (Claudia) O’Connell; sisters, Sharron (Jim) Schneiderhan and Mickey (Jim) Ledford, all of Great Falls; grandchildren, Melissa Laursen, Christine Laursen, CA, Michele Dollman, OR, Kristin (Travis) Dimond, Sidney, MT, Joanna (Eugene) Statelen, Havre, MT, Megan Skiff, Bozeman, MT, David, Russell (R.C.) and McKinley Skiff of Malta; great-grandchildren Destiny, Faith, Oliver and Hope Dollman, OR, Ashton and Alexis Statelen, Havre, MT; numerous nieces, nephews, and many great friends she cherished deeply.
Pat was born August 25, 1937 to Clarence and Helen (Galvin) O’Connell in Great Falls, MT. She attended schools in Great Falls, and graduated from Great Falls Central Catholic High School in 1955. Pat loved to cook both at home and as a career for various restaurants, nursing homes and hospitals in Glasgow and Malta. Her other interests were crocheting, collecting cook books and collectible spoons. Pat enjoyed time spent with friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was very active in her church participating in several Cursillos and playing Bingo every Sunday afternoon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother John O’Connell.

A. Charlene (Henry) Little passed away on April 2, 2008 at the age of 80 in
Billings, Montana.
Charlene was born to Harry and Mabel (Spring) Henry on July 28, 1927 in Great Cacapon, West Virginia. She graduated from high school at Berkley Springs, West Virginia in May of 1945, and then attended nurses training at the University of Virginia where she graduated in 1948.
She married Bridger P. Little in September of 1948. They moved to Glasgow, Montana in the fall of 1953. Char loved animals, was an excellent cook, and was an avid card player. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church. Char belonged to Soroptomists, the Hospital Guild, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and was a volunteer at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital. She worked as the Director of Nursing at the Valley View Nursing Home from 1973 to 1995. She made many long lasting, treasured friendships through her employment.
Char was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, John R. Little and his wife Brenda of Miles City, Montana; two daughters, Alice Hopstad and her husband Floyd of Glasgow, and Anita E. Little of Glasgow. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Annette A. (Hopstad) Braaten and her husband Chris and their daughter Taryn of Velva, North Dakota; Jeremiah and Amy Hopstad of Denver, Colorado; Alicia (Hopstad) Nielsen and her husband Travis of Nashua, Montana, and their children Abrianna and Grady Nielsen; Dustin Little and his wife Shannon and their son Cae’dmon of Steilacoom, Washington; and Chris Little of Billings.

Clara Marie (Buen) Siewing of Saco, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, March 24, 2008, in Malta. Clara has been superbly taken care of as a resident of the Hi-Line Retirement Center in Malta up until her death after being stricken with Alzheimer’s disease a number of years ago.
She was born April 22, 1917, to Asle and Anna Buen in Glasgow. When Clara started
school she spoke 100 percent Norwegian and had to repeat first grade as her English
improved. She graduated from Glasgow High School in 1938.
On Jan. 1, 1939, she married Herman Siewing Jr. and they began their lives together,
working on the Siewing family vegetable farm south of Glasgow, selling vegetables up
and down the Hi-Line and into North Dakota. After a few years in Glasgow the newlyweds moved to the family farm northwest of Saco where they raised their two sons, Walter and Roger, and continued raising vegetables and eventually raising certified spring wheat and barley. Clara’s greatest love was hosting family gatherings. She loved cooking her garden fresh vegetables and sharing her numerous delicious recipes. She also enjoyed baking, raising chickens and welcoming everyone into her home who entered the farm. She enjoyed all aspects of farm life and celebrating birthdays, everyone else’s as well as her own. She was a life-long member of the Saco Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School and was an active member of Welca, hosting many meetings at her home.
Clara is survived by a son, Walter Siewing, now residing at the Missouri River Manor,
1130 17th Ave. S., Great Falls, Mt. 59405, daughter-in-law Linda Siewing of Havre, a
sister, Berniece (Ernie) Kummerfeldt of Mesa, AZ; two brothers, Arthur (Eleanor) Buen
of Nashua, Harold (Lila) Buen of Billings, a brother-in-law Hartvik Garsjo of Nahsua, MT, one grandson Joshua, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman, in April 1977; son, Roger, August 2007; her sister, Thelma Garsjo, June 1980; and sister, Agnes Garsjo, January 2006.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31, at 2 p.m. at the Saco Lutheran Church. Interment will follow with burial at the Saco Grandview Cemetery. A luncheon will follow provided by the Saco Lutheran WELCA. Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge of the arrangements. There will be a gathering for all family and friends to share in the celebration of life of Clara, on Sunday, March 30, at Bell Mortuary with a luncheon to follow at the Oasis.

Gilman grew up in Cartwright, North Dakota. He worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1935 to 1938 in Minnesota and Utah. He returned to Montana and worked in Froid and Wolf Point.
Gilman married Verna Iwen in 1939. In 1943 they moved to Glasgow and he worked for the Great Northern Railroad until he was drafted into the US Navy in 1944 where he served until the end of the war. After the war he returned to the railroad and worked as a brakeman for a time. He then worked 30 years for Crighton Distributors until 1976. He then worked as an appraiser for the State Department of Revenue until he retired in 1983.
Gilman played baseball with the VFW Team and belonged to the Sunnyside Golf Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, friends, and grandkids.
Memorials may be made to the Valley View Home or charity of one’s choice.
