PARENTS: Melvin P. Myhre and Edna (Peterson) Myhre
He was raised on a farm in Rangely, North Dakota and Valley City. At the age of 18 he moved to Glasgow and went to work for Newton Motors. He later moved back to Valley City, ND and worked for the Armour Company from 1935 to 1944 as a salesman.
Lyle married June Gould on April 14, 1936 at Fargo, North Dakota. He served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1945 on an ammunition supply ship. They moved back to Glasgow in 1955 and Lyle went to work for Newton Motors once again. Later he sold real estate with Aaron Peters Realty and in 1981 went into business and formed Myhre Realty with his son Wayne and his wife Ruth Myhre. Lyle retired in 1996.
June Myhre passed away on December 27, 1980. Lyle married Pauline Girard on July 2, 1985 in Malta, Montana.
Lyle was a member of the Ridgerunners Saddle Club, American Legion and VFW, Sons of Norway, Glasgow Elks Club, North Star Lodge #46 and Shrine, First Lutheran Church, and also worked as an auctioneer. He especially enjoyed dancing and music. Lyle and Kenny Newton folded the flag for many Veteran services.

Zachary Swede Nickels, born March 21, 1989 in Vallejo, California left this world on May 17, 2005. Diagnosed at birth with Cystic Fribrosis, yet he enjoyed all physical sports, especially wrestling, which he excelled in. Zach loved his pets and when he wasn’t with them he was talking about them. Zach found happiness in drawing and cooking and had plans of attending culinary school.
Zach’s family will never forget his quick wit and smile, and words will never express or makeup for the space that is left by his absence. Our hope is that Zach is free of all pain and that our love and prayers will help him with the rest of his journey home. Zach, we love you.

She was raised an attended schools in Opheim. Millie married Glen Hallock on September 10, 1932 in Glasgow. They lived in Park Grove and Wheeler, Montana while Glen worked on the construction of the Fort Peck Dam in 1934 and 1935. After living in California in 1941 to 1942, they lived in Opheim until 1958 when they moved to Glasgow.
Millie was active in the Eastern Star, Ada Circle, United Methodist Church, Garden Club, Republican Women’s Club, Women’s Society of Christian Service, and Hospital Guild. She also enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading, baking, entertaining and camping.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen in 1986 and a son Clair in 1971.

Daryl J. Betz age 70 of Plentywood, entered into the peaceful kingdom of heavan on Thursday May 5th, following a short but painful battle with cancer. Daryl passed away at Sheridan Memorial Hospital with his loving friends and family by his side.
Daryl was born in Glasgow on July 2, 1934 to John & Lilla Betz of Vandalia. He was raised on the family farm near Vandalia, graduated from Hinsdale High School later to take over the family farm. In 1969 he married Norma Phillips, Daryl helped raise her 3 children, giving them a taste of farm life in Eastern Montana, til her untimely death in 1990. Later, he met Phyllis Stratton and moved to Plentywood, Montana. They were later married on April 26, 1997.
Some of his loves were music, dancing, traveling & working with Phyllis in the upholsery shop. Daryl loved the outdoors, his grandchildren, his farm machinery & D^ Caterpiller. Daryl enjoyed the experiences with friends in trailing his sheep & cattle to summer pasture. He was a very helpful, generous & caring man.
He was preceded in death by his faithful companion "Patches"; his parents John & Lilla Betz; his first wife Norma J. Betz.
Survivors include his loving wife Phyllis Betz of Plentywood; his seven stepchildren: Lori & Bob Stormer, Perry & Nola Stratton, Lonnie & Deb Stratton, Marty & Mary Stratton, Toni Asher, Mel Nordwall & Jay Nordwall. Twelve grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren along with many friends & extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held Monday May 9th at 2p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church of Glasgow with Pastor Bob Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow.
Pallbearers: Perry Sratton, Bob Stormer, Marty Stratton, Lonnie Stratton, Roger Britsch & Dan Britsch.
