Evelyn Hazel Dorr, age 97, passed away early Monday morning, February 13, 2006, at the Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow, Montana.
Born at the family home in Giltner, Nebraska, she became a Montana resident when her father Lawrence Mihm, lured by the announcement of free land, homesteaded in Tampico, Montana.
In 1927, Evelyn married Ross C. Dorr and they began their family, they homesteaded on the Milk River near Whatley, Montana. After rearing four children and helping improve the homestead while her husband worked additional jobs, she secured outside employment.
Evelyn worked for the following; Markles, Normont Dairy, Seed House, Valley County Public Health, Valley County Treasurers office, and managed Central Base Funds for Glasgow Air Force Base. In addition to employment she was involved with Farmers Union, the Rebecca Lodge and the Gang, a close knit group of husbands and wives who dined, danced, and played cards together for years.
Her involvement with the Rebecca Lodge was dear to her heart. She played the piano for degree work and the organ for church. Music, especially the piano and organ, were an important part of her life.

Miss Debra Dorr Thomas of Jackson, Mississippi
Terry and Jacque lee Bowman of Billings, MT
Monica Parker of Tucson, Arizona
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ross C. Dorr, and
Granddaughter Dr. Zandra Dorr Klein.

Arthur has lived his entire life on the farm in Larslan. He moved into the Nemont Manor in Glasgow in 1996. He worked as a farmer and rancher, was a dedicated fisherman and always took someone with him. He caught the very first lake trout out of Fort Peck Lake. For many years he made an elk hunting trip to the Sun River country. He also enjoyed playing cards.
Arthur was an excellent athlete, playing a lot of baseball and basketball. He was a story teller and a communicator, he liked to talk about the good things in life.
Arthur served on many boards, including the Farmers Union Board and church boards. He taught Sunday School for 15 years. He always wanted to give everything he had away, money meant nothing to him.

Preceded in death by his brother Orville in 1935 and his brother Myron in 2000.

Allie Lee (Tollefson) Hammond, 61. passed away Saturday, April 15. 2006 surrounded by her family at the home of her son in rural Eureka. MT.
Allie Lee was born June 25, 1944 in Glasgow, MT to Oliver & Alice (Kegel) Tollefson. Her dad picked her name from a character in a Zane Grey novel. As a young girl one of her friends couldn, t say Allie Lee, and shortened it to "Lee Lee" as she was known to family and friends from that time on.
Lee Lee grew up on the family farm north of Saco where she attended one room country schools for the first five grades. After school bus service was established, she attended school in Saco, graduating from high school in 1962. She attended Northern Montana College in Havre, MT and graduated with a two year Elementary Teaching Degree on June 12, 1964.
June 14, 1964 Alice married her high school sweetheart and classmate, Ira Hammond. Her first teaching job was in Hingham, MT where she "put Ira on his feet" as he finished his B.S. Teaching Degree at Northern Montana College.
They moved to Saco in the spring of 1965 when Ira student taught in Hinsdale. Their son, John, was born that April.
Staying in Saco was never their intent, but fate and a school superintendent who had been their high school teacher convinced them to stay.
Allie Lee taught full time until the birth of their third child, Suzanne, in 1969. After that, she continued to substitute teach as well as be a full time Mom.
Family was always #1 importance to Allie Lee whether it was holiday meals, birthday dinners, or picnics at the lake. (Nelson Reservoir)
Besides being an active member of Saco Lutheran Church and "Circle", Allie Lee had been active as a member of Saco Women, s Club, Saco Athletic & Music Boosters. She & Ira followed their kids, school events, whether it was sports, music, or student government. Allie Lee was always there not only as a supporter of the "entire" team or program, but usually as a chaperone too. This support continued with her granddaughters, music, dance, and athletics. She was thrilled that the grandkids shared her love of music, competitiveness, and art work.
Allie Lee was an accomplished artist and a skilled crafter of all sorts of goodies. Even though Allie Lee quit teaching full time, the teacher in her never retired, right up until her death her home was always decorated inside and out for the appropriate season.
The farmers daughter learned to be a rancher, s wife, helping with chores of the cattle, from the feeding to bringing chilled calves to the kitchen. She even tried to make a farmer out of Ira!
For their 30th Anniversary Allie Lee & Ira attended "Fan Fare" in Nashville, TN. A life long dream was fulfilled as they met the "Stars" and attended several performances of the Grand Old Opry.
For the past several years Allie Lee & Ira have been regular bus tour travelers seeing much of the United States and making many new tour buddies.
Allie Lee is survived by her father, Oliver Tollefson of Saco, her Valentine of 45 years, Ira Hammond of Saco, her son John Carl Hammond (Rhonda) and granddaughters Carly and Kelsey Hammond, her daughter Suzanne Marcelle DeCamp (Mark) and grandchildren Allison and Ashley Dierenfield, and Steven and Tiffany DeCamp of Eureka and Columbia Falls, her sister Gloria Jane Hartman (Wallace) of Great Falls and numerous nieces and nephews.
Allie Lee was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Tollefson, her brother, Rocky Tollefson, and an infant daughter, Roxanne Rochelle Hammond.

Michael Bell
Friday, April 14th 2006
Michael Bell, age 22, of Honolulu, Hawaii and formerly of Wolf Point, MT died in Billings, MT Wednesday, April 12, 2006. His death is under investigation. Michael was a Petty Officer 2nd Class stationed at Pearl Harbor Naval Base and attached to the Naval Special Warfare Command. He has served honorably for the past 5 years.
A wake will be held Tuesday, April 18 at the SilverWolf Casino starting at 4 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 9 a.m. at the Wolf Point High School Gymnasium. Interment with full military honors will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Wolf Point.
Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point is in charge of arrangements.
