He was raised in Kansas and after graduating from high school he joined the US Air Force, serving in Mississippi and the Havre Radar Station.
On June 1, 1957 Jack married Patricia Reinhardt in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
They moved to Topeka in 1958 and back to Havre in 1959. They have resided in Glasgow since 1960. He worked for Cable-Vision for 23 years and then worked for A.W. Pratt until 1996.
Jack belonged to the Elks and enjoyed working in his garage, hunting and fishing, softball, and being with his grandsons.

Mildred E. Betty Porter, 83, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and community supporter passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 in Great Falls, Montana at Benefis Peace Hospice. She fought a short and fast battle with cancer.
Betty was born to William and Marie Johnson on July 17, 1923 in Wolf Point, Montana. Most of her child life spent in the Wolf Point area graduating from Wolf Point High School in 1942. She worked in Glasgow and surrounding areas until her marriage to Howard Porter. They resided most of their married life in the farming community of Beaverton until 1987. She diligently worked along side Howard on the farm and unselfishly sacrificed her life to raising her four children. Upon retirement from farming they moved to Hinsdale where she was employed at the First National Bank for over 20 years.
She lived life to the fullest taking part of many community activities along with all of her hobbies that she loved such as women’s softball, bowling, golfing, darts, horseshoes, bingo and card games.
She was an active member of Hinsdale Methodist Women’s Group, and Saco Rebekas Lodge as well as an avid enthusiast and committee planner of Hinsdale Milk River Days.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard and brother Robert "Peewee" Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, Bill (Laurie) of Kent, Washington and Gary (Debbie) of Manhattan, Montana, two daughters; Bev Mills (Dennis) of Great Falls and Pattie Carten (Patrick) of Las Vegas, Nevada, a brother William Johnson (Sachido) of Hawaii, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Hinsdale Milk River Days, Hinsdale Legion Hall, Hinsdale Mosquito Find or the Hinsdale Ambulance Fund.

Joyce attended school in Peerless and Opheim. She worked many years on the family sheep ranch before moving to Wolf Point, Montana. She worked for the Selective Service office, as a telephone operator, and a bookkeeper for Northeast Montana health Services before retiring and moving to Glasgow. Joyce lived at Nemont Manor since October of 1995. She spent many hours on her hobbies of; jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and quilt making. She enjoyed visiting with her friends. Joyce freely donated her time and energies making items for the Nemont Manor bazaar and raffles for the benefit for the Resident˙s special projects fund.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Eleanor Simonson. She is survived by one niece, Shirley Stanford of Albuquerque, NM and her friends at Nemont Manor.
Interment has taken place at the Scobey Cemetery, Scobey, Montana on October 11, 2006.

Theona (Toni) A. Garwood of Nashua, Montana, 81, died Saturday, October 7, 2006 of natural causes at her home on the family farm south of Nashua.
She was born on March 13, 1925 in Bottineau, North Dakota to Adolph and Inga Moum, the 3rd of eleven children.
In 1945 she married Edgar Garwood, built their home and lived in for 61 wonderful years. They raised their three children there whom all have fond memories. She loved her garden, canning vegetables, picking chokecherries, and making jelly. She was a great mother and homemaker. She baked pies, cinnamon rolls, egg custard, bread and tapioca pudding. She would always have something baked for her children as soon as they got off the bus from school. She loved living on the farm and everyone who came to visit enjoyed it also. She loved to sit on the screened-in-porch and enjoy the beautiful view, read or watch summer lightning storms.
She and Edgar enjoyed many winters in Mesa and Apache Junction, Arizona enjoying the warm weather. Many years were spent traveling in their motor home including Branson, Missouri, the Grand Old Opry, and also visiting relatives in Seattle, Ohio, Kentucky and many other places. She was a beloved wife, mother, and friend to all.
Toni is survived by her husband Edgar of Nashua, a son Ronald and his wife Patricia of Nashua, daughters: Karen Stearns and her husband Gary of Harlem, Montana, and Diane Forbes and her husband Scott of Apache Junction, Arizona, grandsons; Steven Stearns of Harlem, Scott Stearns of Butte, Seth Garwood and Shawn Garwood, both of Nashua, granddaughters Stacy Garwood of Nashua and Shari Stearns of Harlem, and three great grandchildren; Shenia, Sade, and Lacey, all of Harlem.
She is also survived by one brother and four sisters; Al Moum and his wife Joyce of Poulsbo, Washington, Inez Brown of Shelton, WA, JoAnn Thuring and her husband Don of Seattle, Darlene Spino and her husband Victor of Seattle, and Sandra Yarbor of Mesa, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Inga Moum, five sisters; Eleanor Ericson, Helen Shaw, Florence Corrado, Donna Moum, and Gloria Moum.

Patricia Jo Fisher, age 53, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 6, 2006.
Patricia, the daughter of Jerry and Betty Wiseman was born May 1 1953, in Bridgeport, Nebraska.
Patricia was raised in Nebraska where her and her family moved frequently. Patricia graduated from High School in Gering, Nebraska and later went on to college at WNCC and graduated with an Associates Degree in Agriculture.
Patricia met Glenn Fisher of Saco, Montana in 1975. They were married in 1981. Together they lived and worked a ranch north of Saco, and also raised two daughters; Mary Elizabeth (Fisher) Haggard and Catherine "Cat" Fisher.
For 18 years of Patricia's life, she volunteered for both the Hinsdale and Saco ambulance; she also drove bus for a number of years. Patricia enjoyed helping others and missed seeing the kids from the school after she went to work for The Print Shop in Glasgow where she worked for three years.
Patricia always loved the medical field and wanted to make a difference. She worked as a Ward Clerk and CNA at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital for several years before deciding to pursue her life long dream of becoming a nurse. Patricia would have graduated from the nursing program at MSU Northern in Havre, Montana in May.
Survivors include her husband Glenn Fisher of Saco, daughter and son-in-law Mary Elizabeth (Fisher) Haggard and Jerry Haggard of Castle Rock, Colorado, daughter Catherine "Cat" Fisher of Glasgow, father Jerry Wiseman of Minatare, Nebraska, brother Jerry Wiseman Jr. of Gering, Nebraska, sister Jody Wiseman (Bayard), and grandmother Frances Hutchinson of Gering, Nebraska, was well as several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.
Patti was preceded in death by her mother Betty Wiseman, paternal grandparents and a maternal grandfather.
Patricia loved life and embraced every new day as an adventure. She had many wonderful friends whom she enjoyed sharing stories about with her family. She was a truly wonderful and caring individual and she will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she so gently touched.
