Mr. Herman Alexander Rudisill
Mr. Herman Alexander Rudisill, 77, of 203 Tremont Drive, died at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997, at The Hospice Home after several months of failing health.
A native of Catawba County, he was the husband of Mrs. Frances Geneva Hildebran Rudisill, who survives, and the son of Mr. John Alexander Rudisill and Mrs. Daisy Alley Rudisill, both deceased. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired sales supervisor for Coble Dairy. He was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ, where he was an elder and a member of The Men's Bible Class.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Linda) Dennis of Matthews; a son, Mr. Daniel A. Rudisill of Greensboro; a sister, Ms. Irene Hughey of Conover; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Gabriel and Mrs. Colleen Lutz.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Phil Myers, pastor of First Reformed United Church of Christ.
Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 6 to 8 this evening and at other times at the home.

Mrs. Betty G. Cooper
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Betty Gibbons Cooper, 71, of 1801 Dorsett St., died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997, at her home after a long illness.
A native of Hannibal, Mo., she was the wife of the late Mr. Billy Lee Cooper and the daughter of Mr. Burt Gibbons and Mrs. Sadie Evans Gibbons, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Bill (Melanie) Steelman of Burlington, Mrs. Julian (Frankie) Gusset of Redding, Calif., Mrs. Michael (Janie) Troupe of Chilcoot, Calif., and Mrs. Louis (Rhonda) Siqueido of Calpine, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Iva Wordley of Lynwood, Calif., Mrs. Wilma 'Cotty' McCartney of Barry, Ill., and Mrs. Margery Jeffreys of Lancaster, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hocutt Memorial
Baptist Church by the Rev. E. Al Roberts, pastor.
The family will be at Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church following the service and at other times at the home.

Mrs. Dorothy F. Haase
GIBSONVILLE - Mrs. Dorothy Lillian Fritz Haase, 87, died Monday, Oct. 20, 1997, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Hudson County, N.J., she was the daughter of Mr. Charles Fritz and Mrs. Catherine Walters Fritz, both deceased. She was a former real estate executive.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nancy H. Cohoon of Gibsonville and Mrs. Barbara Mahler of Elon College; a sister, Mrs. Grace Curran of St. Louis, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home.
There will be no visitation.
Mr. James R. Redd
ORLANDO, Fla. - Mr. James Ralph Redd, 76, died Monday, Sept. 29, 1997.
Born May 17, 1921, in Sparta, he was the son of Mr. George Emit Redd and Mrs. Verna Cox Redd, both deceased. He was a World War II veteran and a retired social worker in Orangeburg, N.Y.
Survivors include a niece and nephews, all of Alamance County.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. George Robert Redd.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Reign Sturdivants Chapel in Independence, Va. Burial will be in The Baptist Church of Independence cemetery.

LIBERTY - Ms. Angela Ne'cole Smith, 20, of 4550 Woodvery Drive, died Monday, Oct. 20, 1997, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, where her infant son, Ignacio Garcia, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 1997.
Both natives of Guilford County, she is survived by her parents, Ms. Sandra B. Smith and Mr. Johnny Smith, both of Liberty; a sister, Ms. Laura Smith of Liberty; a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ruby Barrett of Lexington; and a paternal grandmother, Mrs. Elsie Smith of Liberty. She was a homemaker.
He was survived by his mother and father, Mr. Ignacio Garcia, of the home; maternal grandparents; a paternal grandfather, Mr. Onesimo Garcia of Mexico; and maternal great-grandmothers.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Christian Church cemetery.
The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home from 7 to 9 this evening and at other times at the home.

Mr. Robert J. McGlone
CAROLINA BEACH - Mr. Robert J. McGlone, of 212 Carolina Sands Drive, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997, at his home.
He was the husband of Mrs. Margaret H. McGlone, who survives. He moved to Carolina Beach from Garden City, N.Y., after retiring as a project engineer from Slattery Associates, N.Y. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include three daughters, Mrs. Brian (Teresa) Day of Wake Forest, Mrs. Rob (Patricia) Gasparello of Burlington and Mrs. Alan (Barbara) Keyes of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; and three grandchildren.

LEXINGTON - Ms. Bessie Faye Coggins Snider, 74, of 190 Walnut Grove Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born Sept. 18, 1923, in Davidson County, she was the daughter of Mr. William Coggins and Mrs. Ila Coggins, both deceased. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Mr. James Snider of the home; three sisters, Ms. Jettie Corriher of New London, Ms. Annie Lanier and Ms. Kate Kirk, both of Lexington; two brothers, Mr. Shelton Coggins of Burlington and Mr. Jessie Coggins of Albemarle; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be condcuted at 2 p.m. Friday at Timberlake Chapel at Piedmont Funeral Home by the Rev. Gene Davis. Burial will be in Tom's Creek Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Vera Hadley Lamb
Mrs. Vera Hadley Lamb, 73, of 1555 Dixon-Lamb Lane, died at 6:40 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 1997, at Duke University Medical Center after three months of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Mr. Terrell Leo Lamb, who survives, and the daughter of Mr. William Franklin Hadley and Mrs. Myrtis Braxton Hadley, both deceased. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Graham, where she was a member of the T.J. Whitehead Sunday School Class. She attended South Fork Friends Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for 25 years and played the organ for 52 years.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include two daughters, Mrs. Teresa Lindley and Mrs. Marjorie Totten, both of Graham; a son, Mr. Terrell H. Lamb of Raleigh; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn McKinney of Graham and Mrs. Phyllis Wilson of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Mr. C.L. Hadley and Mr. Russell Hadley, both of Snow Camp; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Herman Parker Hadley.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Graham by the Rev. Paul Phillips and the Rev. Ray Lambe. Burial will be in South Fork Friends Church cemetery.

Mrs. Roxanna Tate Crawford, 73, of 1205 Avondale Drive, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 1997, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after an illness of several months.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Matthew Crawford and the daughter of Mr. Benjamin Tate and Mrs. Novella McGee Tate, both deceased. She was a member of Johnson's Chapel AME Church of Mebane.
Survivors include six daughters, Ms. Lisa D. Crawford, Mrs. Linda G. Johnson, Mrs. Caroline Jeffries and Mrs. Cathy Johnson, all of Mebane, Ms. Norma E. Crawford of the home and Mrs. Diane Jones of Burlington; two sons, Mr. George M. Crawford Jr. of Burlington and Mr. Richard Crawford of Haw River; a brother, Mr. Bobby Clay Tate of Atlanta; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Johnson's Chapel AME Church of Mebane by the Rev. Larry McDonald, pastor, and the Rev. Jerry R. Gwynn, pastor of St. Matthew's AME Church of Saxapahaw. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Burial will be in Mebane Community Cemetery.
