Mr. Thomas Lesueur
YPSILANTI, Mich. - Mr. Thomas 'Doo' Lesueur of 598 DeSota Ave., died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at his home after several months of failing health.
A native of Burlington, he was the husband of Mrs. Shelia Lesueur, who survives, and the son of Dr. Robert Lesueur and Mrs. Shirley T. Lesueur, both deceased.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include three sons, two daughters, and a brother, Mr. Robert Lesueur Jr. of Fairfax, Va.
The funeral will be today in Ypsilanti.

Mr. Ernest Ulisse Jr.
MEBANE - Mr. Ernest Louis Ulisse Jr., 60, of 2574 White Pine Drive, formerly of Princeton, W.Va., died Thursday night, April 9, 1998, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham from injuries received in an automobile accident two weeks ago.
Born Jan. 25, 1938, in Hemphill, W.Va., he was the husband for 38 years of Mrs. Janet Marie Kelley Ulisse, who survives, and the son of Mr. Ernest L. Ulisse Sr., and Mrs. Violet Turner Ulisse, both deceased. He was a 1956 graduate of Welch High School. He had served with the U.S. Army. He was a former sales representative for Pitney-Bowes Corporation and was currently employed by the Glory U.S.A. Corporation in Atlanta as a sales representative. He had been a resident of Mebane since 1982 after moving from Princeton. He was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Hillsborough.
Survivors other than his wife of Mebane include a daughter, Mrs. Max (Valerie Lynn) Piver of Mebane; two sisters, Ms. Sylvia Archer of Marietta, Ga., and Ms. Patricia Ulisse of Dale City, Va.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ms. Flosse Hall and Ms. Lorenza Rose.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton by the Rev. Orville Harvey and the Rev. Eddie Pettrey. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 Sunday evening, and at other times at the home of Mr. Ted Blankenship and Mrs. Sue Blankenship, Duncan Road, Princeton.
Mr. James C. Jones
BURLINGTON - Mr. James Claude 'J.C.' Jones, 66, of 2015 S. Ashland Drive, died at 6:44 a.m. Friday, April 10, 1998, at Skilled Nursing Division of Alamance Regional Medical Center after several years of failing health, two months critical.
A native of Craven County, he was the husband of Mrs. Mamie Austine Cook Jones, who survives, and the son of Mr. James Claude Jones Sr. and Mrs. Bertha Mae Boggs Jones, both deceased. He retired from AT&T after 38 years and was a member of Bingham Lodge No. 272 AF&AM. He was a Baptist.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include a son, Mr. Tim Jones of the home; a sister, Mrs. Janie Mae Wells of Liberty; and a half brother, Mr. Alexander Cheek of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Ray and a half-brother, Mr. Grover Cheek.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Bennie Smith, pastor of Staley Memorial Baptist Church, the Rev. Joe Hicks, pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church, and the Rev. Robert Boyd, pastor of Brick Reformed United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Park.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home.
Bingham Lodge No. 272 AF&AM will meet for emergent communications at 9 a.m. Sunday for the purpose of conducting Masonic graveside rites.

Mr. George C. Hurley
WHITSETT - Mr. George Calvin Hurley, 54, of 612 N.C. 61, died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
He was a native of Randolph County.
Survivors include two daughters, Ms. Sharon Ramey of Greensboro and Ms. Tammy Dawkins of Whitsett; a son, Mr. Kenneth Hurley of Haw River; six sisters, Ms. Cora Beane of Asheboro, Ms. Brenda Sanders of Denton, Ms. Dianne Wofford and Ms. Helen Brady, both of Elon College, Ms. Shirley Brady of Gibsonville, and Ms. Betty Hurley of High Point; five brothers, Mr. Gene Hurley and Mr. John Hurley, both of Whitsett, Mr. Vernon Hurley and Mr. Worth Hurley, both of Asheboro, and Mr. Charles Hurley of Denton; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. John Beane. Burial will be in Flag Springs United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will be at Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro from 7 to 9 Monday evening.
Mr. Wilson Bradshaw
HAW RIVER - Mr. Wilson Lee Bradshaw, 84, of 4703 Salem Church Road, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, 1998, at his home.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Rachel Dodson Bradshaw, who survives, and the son of Mr. Lee Bradshaw and Mrs. Cayton Davis Bradshaw, both deceased. He was a retired dairy farmer and logger. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include a son, Mr. Larry Bradshaw of the home; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Salem United Methodist Church cemetery by the Rev. Benji Kelley.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 7 to 9 Sunday evening, and at other times at the home.

Mr. James E. Pettiford
HILLSBOROUGH - Mr. James Edward 'Leg' Pettiford, 51, died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, in an automobile accident.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Jean Allen Pettiford of Burlington; two sons, Mr. James Anthony Pettiford of Hillsborough and Mr. Brian McKinley Pettiford of Burlington; a daughter, Ms. Lorena Annette Pettiford of Hillsborough; four sisters; and two brothers.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Paynes Chapel AME Church in Hillsborough by the Rev. Dorthy Nordt. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at the church one hour before the service, and at other times at the home of a brother, Mr. Dewey Pettiford and Mrs. Muzetta Pettiford, 3832 Walnut Grove Church Road, Hillsborough.

Mrs. Ruby T. Stevens
MEBANE - Mrs. Ruby Terrell McDaniel Stevens, 78, of 3987 Forest Oaks Lane, died at 10:20 a.m. Friday, April 10, 1998, at her home after an illness of 10 months, one week critical.
A native of Orange County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Jody McDaniel and the late Mr. Herbert Vance Stevens. She was the daughter of Mr. Samuel Lee Terrell and Mrs. Carrie Etta Jones Terrell, both deceased. She retired from Kingsdown Inc. in Mebane after 20 years. She was a member of the Good Sam's Camping Club. She was a lifelong member of Hebron United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Mr. Mickey J. McDaniel of Mebane; a sister, Mrs. Arlene Willetts of Burlington; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Marla Stevens Hillard of Greensboro; a grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Terrell Bunting, Mrs. Beulah Terrell Anderson and Mrs. Alta Terrell Andrews; and five brothers, Mr. Ralph Terrell, Mr. Carr Terrell, Mr. John Terrell, Mr. Wilbur Terrell and Mr. Thomas Terrell.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Hebron United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jesse Staton, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Charles Littlejohn
MEBANE - Mr. Charles J. Littlejohn, 51, of 2455 N.C. 119 South, Lot 25, died Thursday, April 9, 1998, at his home.
Born Aug. 23, 1946, in Warner Robins, Ga., he was the son of Mrs. Lucille Garland Littlejohn, who survives, and the late Mr. William Henry Littlejohn. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was employed by Triangle Paving for 15 years.
Survivors include three daughters, Ms. Melissa Sharan Deans of Clayton, Ms. Penny Littlejohn of Graham and Ms. Tina Denise May of Mebane; a son, Mr. Charles Jeffrey Littlejohn of Burlington; two brothers, Mr. William 'Billy' Littlejohn of Greensboro and Mr. Melvin Howard Littlejohn of Mebane; a sister, Ms. Doris Jeanette Stacy of Caswell; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Walker's Funeral Home in Mebane by the Rev. James William Christopher.
The family will be at the funeral home from noon to 1:30 p.m. before the service.
Mr. John Bright
GRAHAM - Mr. John Bright, 76, of 153 Southern High School Road, died at 4:15 p.m. Friday, April 10, 1998, at White Oak Manor in Burlington after several years of failing health, one week critical.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Helen Wilkerson Bright, who survives, and the son of Mr. Dewitt Bright and Mrs. Mae Coble Bright, both deceased. He was a retired carpenter and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter, Mrs. Tracy Bright Johnson of Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. Boyd (Hazelene) Bright Coble and Mrs. Edith Bright Ireland, both of Burlington, and Ms. Edna Bright Glosson of Graham; two brothers, Mr. Howard Bright and Mr. Donald Bright, both of Graham; and one grandchild.

Mr. William Allison
BURLINGTON - Mr. William Charles 'Bill' Allison, 56, of 1719 Payne Road, died at 9:23 a.m. Friday, April 10, 1998, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill from injuries received in an accident.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Mrs. Mable Pope Allison, who survives, and the late Mr. Melvin Lee Allison. He was an employee of J.M. Holt Construction Company and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his mother of Burlington include a daughter, Mrs. Kelly Offutt of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Janice Pope of Matthews; a brother, Mr. Darrell Allison of Franklinville; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Bible Baptist Church by Dr. Tommy Richardson, pastor. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.

Miss Betty J. Isley
GRAHAM - Miss Betty Jean Isley, 65, of 4214 Bellemont-Mt. Hermon Road, died at 9:33 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 1998, at Treyburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after one year of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Mr. Eugene Isley and Mrs. Mary Lewis Isley, both deceased. She was retired from MCR in Mebane and was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and was a former Sunday school teacher.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Miss Nancy Sue Isley.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church by the Rev. Rick Moser, pastor, and Ms. Myra McGuire, associate pastor. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
