Mr. Thomas D. Foust
TRENTON, N.J. - Mr. Thomas DePriest Foust, 64, of 40 Sherman Ave., died Thursday, May 28, 1998, at Mercer Hospital after a short illness.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Mrs. Marie Poole Foust, who survives, and the son of Mrs. Lottie Chrisman Foust, who survives, and the late Mr. William Foust Sr. He was a graduate of Sedalia High School and was a member of Wardsworth Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home and mother of Watdsworth include a daughter, Ms. Michele D. Foust of Graham; a brother, Mr. William Foust Jr. of Trenton; and a grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wardsworth Congregational Christian Church by the Rev. Ervin Milton. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Ila T. Snyder
GIBSONVILLE - Mrs. Ila Thomas Snyder, 75, of 3622 Jesse Road, died Tuesday, June 2, 1998, at her home after six months of failing health.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Albert James Snyder, and the daughter of Mr. Andrew Rankin and Mrs. Lessie Thomas Thomas, both deceased. She was retired from Cone Mills, White Oak Plant. She was a member of McLeansville Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Ms. Irene Little of the home; four sons, Mr. Hubert Lee Rigney and Mr. Larry Rankin Snyder, both of McLeansville, and Mr. Coy Glenn Snyder and Mr. Albert Lindsey Snyder, both of Gibsonville; two brothers, Mr. Richard Thomas and Mr. J.C. Thomas, both of McLeansville; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ms. Mary T. Rigney; and two brothers, Mr. Marvin Thomas and Mr. Elmer Thomas.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at McLeansville Baptist Church by Dr. Jack Lemons, pastor. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.

John Burnett
BURLINGTON - Mr. John Thomas Burnett, of 105 Lunsford Drive, died Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at his home after a long illness.
A native of Caswell County, he was the husband of Mrs. Katie Mae Day Burnett, who survives, and the son of Mr. Felix Burnett and Mrs. Maggie Bell Allen Burnett, both deceased. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors other than his wife include two sons, Mr. Thomas Burnett Jr. and Mr. Jimmy Burnett, both of Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. Leona B. Williams of Greensboro and Mrs. Fay Dean Richmond of Atlanta; a brother, Mr. Vance Burnett of Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. Hallie Patterson of Burlington; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mr. James Bill Burnett Sr.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sharpe Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery.

GRAHAM - Mrs. Roxie Wood Hall, 90, of 1767 Petty Road, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at her home after one year of failing health, six weeks critical.
A native of Cocke County, Tenn., she was the wife of the late Mr. Arlie W. Hall and the daughter of Mr. Benjamin Wood and Mrs. Lou Burke Wood, both deceased. She was retired from Sellers Manufacturing Company. She was a former member of the Happy Haw Senior Citizens and was a Baptist.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Guy (Louise) Crutchfield of Clarksville, Va., and Mrs. Harold (Wilma) Phillips, Ms. Mildred "Duck" Bumgardner and Ms. Patsy Johnson, all of Graham; a son, Mr. Jack Hall of Mebane; a brother, Mr. Arthur Wood of Johnson City, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Benji Kelley, pastor of Salem United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Moore's Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. William M. Allred
GREENSBORO - Mr. William M. Allred, 69, of 5505 Forest Road, died Thursday, June 4, 1998, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband for 30 years of Mrs. Nancy Southard Allred, who survives. He was a member of Hunter Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include two daughters, Ms. Laura Coleman of McLeansville and Ms. Tammy Ludovissy of Greensboro; a son, Mr. W. Mark Allred of Sophia; four sisters, Ms. Mary Hall of Archdale, Ms. Pearl Woods and Ms. Juanita Turner, both of Greensboro, and Ms. Florence Alley of Jamestown; two brothers, Mr. Robert Allred of Summerfield and Mr. Howard Allred of Baltimore; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Mr. William Harrison "Billy Noble" Joyner died Sunday, May 31, 1998, after a long illness.
A native of Burlington, he was the husband of Mrs. Yvonne Weathers Joyner, who survives, and the son of Mr. Harold Joyner and Mrs. Frances Noble Joyner, both deceased. He was a security officer and private investigator. He was president of Swingers Ltd., a part-time master of ceremonies at Byrdland Club and part-time salesman for Lindsey-Lexus in Alexandria, Va.
Survivors other than his wife of Washington, D.C., include a son, Mr. Lambert Joyner of Columbia, S.C.; three daughters, Mrs. Alesia Newsome of Xenia, Ohio, Mrs. Adrianne Payne of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Charmaine Carter of Cleveland, Tenn.; a brother, Mr. Joseph Smith; four sisters, Mrs. Eddie Jean Bryant, Ms. Decarol Smith, Mrs. Geamere Smith-Berry and Ms. Sandra Smith; and four grandchildren.

He was a member of South Fork Friends Meeting. Survivors include a son, Mr. Robert Sherman Braxton of Durham; and two sisters, Ms. Delores Braxton and Ms. Bonnie Buie, both of Siler City. BURLINGTON - Mrs. Louise Isley Windham, 82, of 706 Engleman Ave., died at 2:13 a.m. Friday, June 5, 1998, at Alamance Skilled Nursing after a critical illness of a month. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Virgil M. Windham, and the daughter of Mr. John Richard Isley Sr. and Mrs. Lizzie Bryan Isley, both deceased. She was formerly employed by Plaid Mills and Sellars Department Store and was retired from Western Electric. She was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Reformed Church, where she was a member of the Keenager Club, the Women of the Church and the Christian Endeavor Society. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James (Frances) Johnson of Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Una Mahan of Burlington; a brother, Mr. Max G. Isley Sr. of Wilmington; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Mr. Harvie A. Isley, Mr. Howard W. Isley, Mr. J. R. Isley Jr. and Mr. Frank B. Isley. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Coley M. Stewart, and the daughter of Mr. Thomas Caulder and Mrs. Lola Allen Caulder, both deceased. She was retired from Macfield. She was a member of Forest Hills and Burlington Seniors and Grabur Heights Friendship Club. Survivors include two daughters, Ms. Rose Weaver of Graham and Ms. Wilma Stewart Patterson of the home; a son, Mr. William T. Stewart of Media, Pa.; a brother, Mr. Paul Caulder of Graham; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a grandchild. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Carl (Hilder) Graves of Carrboro, Ms. Carolyn Alston of Chapel Hill, Mrs. Jimmy (Jessie Mae) White of Graham and Mrs. Macon (Christine) Marsh of Pittsboro; two sons, Mr. Henry Alston and Mr. Leroy Alston, both of Raleigh; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Mr. Walter Mansfield
GREENSBORO - Mr. Walter Dailey Mansfield, 89, formerly of Liberty Road, died Friday, June 5, 1998, at Wesley Nursing Center in Charlotte.Born June 19, 1908, in Durham, he was the husband of Mrs. Vista Garrett Mansfield, who died in 1980, and the son of Mr. Henry Mansfield and Mrs. Lillie Shaw Mansfield, both deceased. He had lived in Guilford County since 1945. He was a retired grocer and member of the Buena Vista Lodge International Order of the Odd Fellows for more than 40 years. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Burlington and Mouzon United Methodist Church in Charlotte. He was a former member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Greensboro, where he was active in the Methodist Men, was a youth counselor and member of the administrative board. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Goldston (Ann) Harris of Charlotte; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Charles Mansfield. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Friendship United Methodist Church cemetery. MEBANE - Mr. Robert Hulon Holland, 65, of 6406 U.S. 70, died at 2:43 a.m. Monday, June 8, 1998, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after an illness of eight months. A native of Caswell County, he was the husband of Mrs. Marie Sykes Holland, who survives, and the son of Mrs. Irma Harris Cantrell, who survives, and the late Mr. Joe Holland. He was a retired employee of AT&T and was employed with Hawkins Realty and Associates Inc. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a Baptist. Survivors other than his wife of the home and mother of Graham include two sons, Mr. Bobby R. Holland of Charlotte and Mr. Todd Holland of Graham; two stepsons, Mr. Eddie Green of Mebane and Mr. Marty Green of Graham; and four grandchildren. A native of Stanley County, he was the husband of Mrs. Leona 'Esther' Keene West, who survives, and the son of Mr. Roy B. West and Mrs. Addie Lowder West, both deceased. He was retired from Copland Fabrics and was a Baptist.
