Mr. Kenneth K. Smith
FAYETTEVILLE - Mr. Kenneth K. Smith, 85, of 3314 Boone Trail, died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at Village Green Care Center.
Formerly of Burlington, he was the husband of Mrs. Mabel L Smith, who survives. He was a member of Massey Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife of Fayetteville include two daughters, Ms. Joyce Hawley and Ms. Betty Ainsworth, both of Fayetteville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Massey Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert A. Phipps. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.
The family was at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home from 7:30 to 9:30 Saturday evening.

Alyzabethe M. Elliott
GRAHAM - Alyzabethe Marie Elliott, infant daughter of Mr. Henry Mitchell "Mitch" Elliott and Miss Hether Lynn Robare, who survive, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Alamance County.
Survivors other than her mother of Graham and father of Pleasant Grove include maternal grandparents, Mr. James. Robare and Mrs. Margaret Robare of Graham; paternal grandparents, Mr. Henry Michael "Mike" Elliott and Mrs. Joanne Stone Elliott of Pleasant Grove; maternal great-grandparents, Ms. Nancy Johnson of Denver, Mr. James Robare and Mrs. Barbara Robare of Keesville, N.Y.; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. Bernice W. "Bunk" Stone Sr. and Mrs. Joyce Yancey Stoney of South Boston, Va., Mr. Ralph Fuquay and Mrs. Sharon Fuquay of Leasburhg, Ms. Faye Tucker of Rockboro, Mr. Henry "Pee Wee" Elliottt and Mrs. Betty Elliott of South Boston; paternal great-great-grandparents, Ms. Pearl R. Yancey of Virgilia, Va., and Ms. Mary Eva Stone of Roxboro.
A graveside serivce will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Alamance Memorial Park by the Rev. George Stone.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 12:30 to 1:30 this afternoon, and at other times at the home of paternal granparnets, Mr. Mike Elliott and Mrs. Joanne Elliott, 4516 Matherly Trial, Pleasant Grove Community, Burlington.
Mrs. Kathleen Reynolds
GRAHAM - Mrs. Kathleen 'Kat' Reynolds, 78, of Wagner Lane died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham after a long illness.
Born May 15, 1919, in Burke County, she was the wife of Mr. Russell Reynolds, who survives, and the daughter of Mr. Emerson Lee Propst and Mrs. Mary Costner Propst, both deceased. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alamance County.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include two sons, Mr. James Reynolds of Morganton and Mr. Eddie Reynolds of Cleburne, Texas; two daughters, Ms. Beth Puckett of Rutland, Vt., and Ms. Diana Dozier of Las Vegas; two brothers, Mr. Delmar Propst of Valdese and Mr. Donald Propst of Skipwith, Va.; two sisters, Ms. Inez Clark and Ms. Lois Propst, both of Morganton; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Earl Propst.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family will be at Sossoman Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 this evening and at other times at the home of the son, Mr. James Reynolds, 4287 U.S. 64, Morganton.
Mr. Richard Paschal
REIDSVILLE - Mr. Richard Mills Paschal, 94, of 9618 U.S. 158, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997, at Maplewood Nursing Center.
A native of Rockingham County, he was the husband of Mrs. Martha Witty Paschal who died in 1986 and the son of Mr. David L. Paschal and Mrs. Annie Tate Paschal, both deceased. He lived in the Monroeton Community most of his life. He was a retired farmer and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Ms. Becky Paschal of the home; a son, Mr. Richard Ernest Paschal of Burlington; a brother, Mr. Roy Paschal of Reidsville; two sisters, Ms. Onie P. Isley and Ms. Ruby P. Hammock, both of Reidsville; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Citty Funeral Home Chapel by Elder Wallis Smith. Burial will be in Reidlawn Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Citty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Robert F. Hibbard
PINEHURST - Mr. Robert F. Hibbard, 61, of 2 Cherry Lane, formerly of Raleigh, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997.
Born Oct. 1, 1936, in Richmond, Va., he was the husband of 35 years to Mrs. Parris E. Hibbard, who survives, and the son of Mr. Charles E. Hibbard and Mrs. Christine S. Hibbard, both deceased. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1960. He served two years in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, earning the rank of First Lieutenant. He was a sales representative for 32 years at Buffalo Forge Co. in Greenville, S.C. and Richmond.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include a son, Mr. David E. Hibbard of Burlington.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at The Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Southern Pines by the Rev. Ron Thomas of Piedmont, S.C.
A graveside service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Jefferson Town cemetery in Jefferson, S.C.
The family will be at Powell Funeral Home after the memorial service and at other times at the home.

Mr. Keith C. Paulette
MEBANE - Mr. Keith C. Paulette, 61, of 126 Water Plant Road died at 2:06 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997, at the Skilled Nursing Division of Alamance Regional Medical Center after 10 years of failing health.
A native of Blackstone, Va., he was the husband of Mrs. Janet E. Paulette, who survives, and the son of Mrs. Olis Wood Clark, who survives, and the late Mr. Samuel A. Paulette. He was a retired textile employee and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors other than his wife of the Skilled Nursing Division of Alamance Regional Medical Center and mother of Haw River include three daughters, Ms. Cheryl Parker and Ms. Pam Paulette, both of Haw River, and Ms. Joanie Wood of Statesville; a son, Mr. Sean Paulette of Burlington; a sister, Ms. Frances Rumley of Graham; a brother, Mr. Curtis Paulette of Mebane; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church by Dr. James L. Bryan, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening and at other times at the home of the daughter, Ms. Pam Paulette, 116 Water Plant Road, Mebane.
Mr. William Isenberg
GIBSONVILLE - Mr. William W. 'Bill' Isenberg, 68, of 400-41 Steele St., died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1997, at his home after a long illness.
A native of Mifflin County, Pa., he was the husband of Mrs. Eleanor Lear Isenberg, who survives, and the son of Mr. Raymond M. Isenberg and Mrs. Gladys Whitsel Isenberg, both deceased. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Juniata Mifflin Vo. Tech. and a member of Beacon Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter, Mrs. Pamela 'Pam' Carter of Yanceyville; a son, Mr. Raymond D. 'Ray' Isenberg of Kimesville; a sister, Mrs. Harriet Curry of Lewistown, Pa.; three grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Beacon Baptist Church by the Rev. Greg Barkman, pastor, the Rev. Chris Haizlip, pastor of Friendship Baptist Church and the Rev. Herman 'Tommy' Gregory, pastor of Light of the World Ministry. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Park.

Mr. William R. Capps
BURLINGTON - Mr. William Ross 'Billy' Capps, 55, of 4145 Bellemont-Mt. Hermon Road, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997, at Duke University Medical Center after a brief illness.
A native of Durham County, he was the son of Mr. Dewey Levenworth Capps and Mrs. Roxie Muzetta Isley Capps, both deceased. He was an automobile salesman and a member of Bellemont United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Men's Bible Class.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Shelli Ross Capps Clark of Wake Forest; a son, Mr. Rodney Van Capps of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Nichols and Mrs. Audrey Askew, both of Burlington; two brothers, Mr. Neil Capps and Mr. Harold Capps, both of Burlington; and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Mr. D. L. Capps Jr., Mr. Leslie Capps and Mr. Burleigh Capps.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Bellemont United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jeff Roberts, pastor, and the Rev. R.E.L. Moser, Methodist minister. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.

Mr. Leroy Richmond
DANVILLE, VA. - Mr. Leroy Richmond, 74, of 1693 Slade Road, formerly of 4378 Stephentown Road in Blanch, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997, at the Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 22, 1922, in Caswell County, he was the husband of Mrs. Clara Mae McCain Richmond, who survives, and the son of Mr. Tom Richmond and Mrs. Mary Lea Richmond, both deceased. He was a retired boiler operator for Levine Brothers of Burlington, a tobacco farmer and a member of River Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include six sons, Mr. Robert Richmond of Hyattsville, Md., Mr. William Richmond of Springdale, Md., Mr. Nathaniel Richmond of Largo, Md., Mr. Harvey Richmond of Milton, Mr. Tommy Richmond of Greensboro and Mr. Donnell Richmond of Silver Spring, Md.; four daughters, Mrs. Rosa R. Harrell of Hyattsville, Mrs. Betty Thaxton and Mrs. Shirley Walker, both of Blanch, and Mrs. Sarah R. Shepard of Goldsboro; one brother, Mr. Bethel Richmond of Marietta, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Shaw of Burlington; 22 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at River Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Tyrone Thornton. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Betty G. Cooper
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Betty Gibbons Cooper, 71, of 1801 Dorsett St., died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997, at her home after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Mr. Billy Cooper.

Mr. Raymond S. Ragan
GIBSONVILLE - Mr. Raymond Sherman Ragan, 61, of 843 Smith Drive, formerly of Hillsborough, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 15, 1997, in Jefferson Care Center in Yanceyville after a period of failing health.
A native of Oxford, he was the son of Mr. Brodie Ragan and Mrs. Annie Mae Gilbert Ragan, both deceased. He was employed with P. Lorillard Tobacco Company and was a member of Twin Oaks Holiness Church in Gibsonville.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Debbie R. Atkins of Gibsonville; a son, Mr. Darrell Ragan of Gibsonville, three brothers, Mr. Ralph Ragan of Durham, Mr. Roland Ragan of Hillsborough and Mr. Tom Ragan of Stoney Creek; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Clements Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Tommy Scronce and the Rev. Henry Reese. Burial will be in Mount Zion Baptist Church cemetery in Berea.
