Mr. Donald L. Baugh
BURLINGTON - Mr. Donald Lee Baugh, 63, of 633 Delaware Ave., died Tuesday, July 7, 1998, at Alamance Regional Medical Center, after a short illness.
A native of Russell County, Va., he was the husband of Mrs. Virginia Grizzle Baugh, who survives, and the son of Mrs. Elsie Jessie Baugh Price, who survives, and the late Mr. George Ellis Baugh. He was formerly employed by Burlington Industries and was a Baptist.
Survivors other than his wife of the home and mother of Lebanon, Va., include two daughters, Mrs. Billy (Pamela) Billings Jr. of Burlington and Miss Jennifer Baugh of the home; a son, Mr. Danny Baugh of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Amos and Mrs. Frances Amos, both of Cleveland, Va.; a brother, Mr. James Baugh of Abingdon, Va.; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Lowe Funeral Home by the Rev. Garland Simmons, pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Park.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 7 to 9 Thursday evening, and at other times at the home.

NEW YORK CITY - Mr. James Torrence Moore Jr., 71, of New York City, died Tuesday, July 7, 1998, at Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

Cmdr. Radford Severance
DURHAM - Retired Navy Cmdr. Radford Henry "Sev" Severance of 119 Montrose Drive, died Monday, July 6, 1998, at his home.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., he was the husband of the Rev. Elizabeth "Betsy" Thompson Severance. He was a graduate of Cornell University and served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, who is a former resident of Graham.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Hawfields Presbyterian Church in Mebane by Dr. Ralph Bright, director of chaplaincy services at Durham Regional Hospital.

Mr. G.F. Richmond Sr.
MEBANE - Mr. Guy Forrest "Buck" Richmond Sr., 83, of 305 E. Jackson St., died at 6:40 p.m. Monday, July 6, 1998, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several years of failing health, two months critical. He was formerly of 3673 Mebane Rogers Road.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Cora Vincent Sykes Richmond, who survives, and the late Mrs. Norine Bowland Richmond. He was the son of Mr. Thomas Bethel Richmond and Mrs. Margaret Murray Richmond, both deceased. He was a retired truck driver of Associated Transport in Burlington. He was a member of Cross Roads Presbyterian Church where he was an elder for 30 years.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn R. Turner of Roxboro; a sister, Mrs. Mary R. Stainback of Graham; two brothers, Mr. William F. Richmond and Mr. Ernest C. Richmond, both of Mebane; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Barbara R. Bell; a son, Mr. Guy Forrest Richmond Jr.; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth R. Rascoe and Mrs. Frances R. McPherson.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Allen Huff, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 6:30 to 8:30 Thursday evening, and at other times at the home.

Miss Delores Cox
GRAHAM - Miss Delores Elaine Cox, 47, of 218 Old Dam Road, Snow Camp, died Monday, July 6, 1998, at Chatham Memorial Hospital.
A native of Chatham County, she was the daughter of Mr. Elmer Garrett Cox and Mrs. Mary Lee Cox, both deceased.
Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Doris C. Kivett, Mrs. Yvonne C. McPherson and Ms. Judy C. Sessoms, all of Snow Camp, Mrs. Carolyn C. Cox of Asheboro and Mrs. Annette C. Farthing of Mebane; and two brothers, Mr. William P. Cox of Snow Camp and Mr. Bill Cox of Camden, Ark.
The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Ben Howard, pastor of Pleasant Grove Wesleyan Church in Greensboro. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Wesleyan Church cemetery.

SNOW CAMP - Mr. Jesse Clyde Campbell, 73, of 8144 Old Switchboard Road, died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 1998, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after six months of failing health, one week critical.
A native of Chatham County, he was the husband of Mrs. Mary Lee Love Campbell, who died Oct. 23, 1995, and the son of Mr. Abner Bennett Campbell and Mrs. Rosa Straughn Campbell, both deceased. He was a retired real estate broker and was an employee of Alamance County Breeders Association for 15 years. He was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Ms. Sandra C. Warren of Graham; a son, Mr. Mike Campbell of the home; and a sister, Mrs. Juanita C. Johnson of Christiansburg, Va.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ms. Cara C. Perry; and three brothers, Mr. Henry Campbell, Mr. Wade Campbell and Mr. Grady Campbell.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Bennie Smith, pastor of Staley Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mount Olive Baptist Church cemetery.

JAMAICA, N.Y. - Mr. Lesley Hilton Haith of 130-43 Springfield Blvd., died Friday, July 3, 1998, at Mary Emmaculate Hospital.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Naomi Harris Haith, who survives, and the son of Mrs. Emma Louise Smith Haith, who survives, and the late Mr. Claude Haith Sr. He was a self-employed cab driver. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home and mother of Burlington include four daughters, Ms. Bobbie Jean H. Graves and Ms. Angela H. Richmond, both of Burlington, Ms. Deborah Ann H. Vincent of Mebane and Ms. Leslie Vivan Haith of Queens, N.Y.; a son, Mr. Larry Hilton Evans of Mebane; six sisters, Ms. Mae Catherine Haith of Irvington, N.J., Ms. Mary Louise Haith of New York City, Ms. Jean Haith of Newark, N.J., Ms. Glenda Haith Taylor of Rahway, N.J., Ms. Fontaine Haith Hester of Burlington, Ms. Carolyn Haith Nix of Savannah, Ga.; two brothers, Mr. Claude Haith Jr. of Mebane and Mr. David Douglas Haith of Irvington; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Anthony Garcia Haith.

A native of Caswell County, he was the husband of Mrs. Annie Torain Southern, who survives, and the son of Mr. Will Southern and Mrs. Ellen Lea Southern, both deceased.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include five daughters, Mrs. Elnora A. Farmer, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams, Miss Carolyn A. Southern and Mrs. Margie S. Lea, all of Yanceyville, and Mrs. Nancy C. Adams of Burlington; five sons, Mr. James M. Adams of Washington, D.C., Mr. Bobby L. Southern, Mr. Jimmy W. Southern and Mr. Bartholomew Torain, all of Burlington, and Mr. Dean M. Southern of Yanceyville; two stepsons, Mr. Terry Torain and Mr. Tommy Torain, both of Burlington; five sisters, Ms. Willie Mae Southern and Mrs. Pencie S. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Mary A. Hayes; and four brothers, Mr. Harry Southern, Mr. Roosevelt Southern, Mr. Ollie Jack Southern and Mr. James Robert Southern.

Mr. James W. Poteat
GIBSONVILLE - Mr. James William Poteat of 400 Steele St., Apt. 34, died at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 1998, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro after a long illness.
A native of Burke County, he was the son of Mr. William Poteat and Mrs. Nettie Seagle Poteat, both deceased. He retired from Swink Hosiery in Haw River where was a fixer for five years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Mr. Thomas Poteat, Mr. Conley Poteat, Mr. Alec Poteat and Mr. Charles Poteat.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pine Hill cemetery by the Rev. Paul Morton, pastor of Gibsonville Christian Church.

SOUTHERN PINES - Mrs. Arlene Ellis Hill, 70, of 115 Aiken Road, died at 10:14 a.m. Sunday, July 5, 1998, at Moore Regional Hospital in Southern Pines after a sudden illness.
A native of Pulaski, Va., she was the daughter of Mr. Jessie Monroe Robertson and Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Harris Robertson, both deceased. She was retired from Hyland Hills Golf Course and was past commander of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Moore County Chapter.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jody Speagle and Mrs. Frances Moore, both of Burlington; four sons, Mr. Richard Ellis of Burlington, Mr. Charles Ellis of Graham, Mr. Mike Ellis of Mebane and Mr. Tim Ellis of Long Beach; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Cox of Julian and Mrs. Ethel Gallimore and Mrs. Ruth Herd, both of Radford, Va.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Graham Memorial Park by the Rev. James D. Lockley, pastor of Alamance Lutheran Church.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 7 to 9 Tuesday evening, and at other times at the home of Mrs. Frances Moore, 436 Oakland Drive, Burlington.
