Ms. Georgia C. Talley
MEBANE - Ms. Georgia Caroline Wilson Wallace Talley, 83, of 1220 S. Fifth St., died at 4 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998 at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields in Mebane.
Born June 4, 1915, in Ball Ground, Ga., she was the wife of the late Mr. Percy Lee Talley, and the daughter of Mr. John Henry Wilson and Mrs. Caroline Cochran Wilson, both deceased. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jeanette W. McCracken of Mebane; one son, Mr. Marvin A. Wallace of Mebane; one brother, Mr. Woodrow Wilson of Ball Ground; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Jane Edwards of Ball Ground, Mrs. Jessie Sams of Canton, Ga., Mrs. Martha Davis of Dahlonega, Ga., Mrs. Virginia Cagle of Jasper, Ga., and Mrs. Gladys Laub of Haywood, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mrs. Laura Green, Mrs. Stella White, Mrs. Estelle Fowler and Miss Catherine Wilson; three brothers, Mr. Lee Wilson, Mr. Horace Wilson and Mr. Amos Wilson.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by the Rev. Chuck Perkins and Dr. Perry Ross. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home of the daughter, 1222 S. Fifth St., Mebane.
Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields, N.C. 119 South, Mebane, N.C. 27302.

Mr. Stephen D. Meyer
GIBSONVILLE - Mr. Stephen Dick Meyer, 52, of 4460 High Rock Road, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, of injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born Oct. 5, 1946 in Guilford County, he was the husband of Mrs. Diane Jordan Meyer who survives, and the son of Mr. Frank Mullis and Mrs. Rebecca Meyer Mullis, both deceased. A lifelong resident of Guilford County, he was employed with APAC Paving Co. for more than 33 years. He was a member of the Swamp Buck Hunt Club.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include one stepson, Mr. Robert Hughey of Reidsville; one brother, Mr. Phillip Mullis of Reidsville; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Tim Mullis.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Bethel Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Don Fowler. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel from 7 to 8:30 this evening, and at other times, at the home of his father-in-law, 3613 McConnell Road.

Mr. Clarence Pettiford
MEBANE - Mr. Clarence Lee Pettiford of Mebane, died Nov. 21, 1998 at his home.
Born in Alamance County on Jan. 18, 1923, he was the husband of Mrs. Earlie Mae Chrisp Pettiford who survives, and the son of Mr. Obe Pettiford and Mrs. Pearl Jeffries Pettiford, both deceased. He received his education at Pleasant Grove School and was an Army veteran of World War II. He lived in New York, working for the Westchester County School Systems until he retired.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include one son, Mr. Latta Pettiford; two brothers, Mr. Earl Pettiford and Mr. Wilford Pettiford, both of Mebane; one sister, Mrs. Lula Parker of New York; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Chavis-Parker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Rufus Johnson. Burial will be in Snow Hill Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
Visitation will be in the chapel from noon to 1 p.m., before the service.

Mrs. Geneva W. Hinkle
GRAHAM - Mrs. Geneva W. Hinkle, 78, 326 Forest Drive, died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, at Hawfields Presbyterian Home after a long illness.
A native of Oconee County, S.C., she was the wife of Mr. Eugene Hinkle, who survives, and the daughter of Mr. Floyd Watkins Whitten and Mrs. Myrtle Moss Whitten, both deceased. She was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include five brothers, Mr. Marshall Whitten, Mr. Bruce Whitten, Mr. Howard Whitten and Mr. Charles Whitten, all of Burlington, and Mr. Roderick Whitten of Walhalla, S.C.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Dalton, Mrs. Lois Durham and Mrs. Margaretta Kelly.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington by the Rev. Suzanne Shoffner, pastor of Shiloh Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Homecare Providers, 730 Hermitage Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.

Mr. Willie Seamster Sr.
HURT, Va. - Mr. Willie Thomas Seamster Sr., 58, of 112 Highway View Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998.
Born Oct. 3, 1940, in Halifax County, he was the husband of Mrs. Bessie Little Seamster, who survives, and the son of Mrs. Irma Rowland Seamster, who survives, and the late Mr. Stephen Seamster. He was a self-employed mechanic.
Survivors other than his wife of the home and mother of Elon College include three daughters, Ms. Barbara Seamster of Ormond Beach, Fla., Ms. Brenda Towler of Volens, Va., and Mrs. Robert (Susan Seamster) Taylor of Hurt; a son, Mr. Willie Thomas Seamster Jr. of Gretna, Va.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. David (Barbara) Amos of Thaxton, Va.; a stepson, Mr. Billy Mitchen of Altavista, Va.; a sister, Ms. Jenny Seamster of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Mr. Stephen Seamster, Mr. David Seamster and Mr. Reuben Seamster, all of Burlington; four grandchildren; six step grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four great-step grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Colbert-Moran Chapel in Gretna by the Rev. Wayne Murphy. Burial will be in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will be at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 this evening, and at other times at the home.

Mr. Clyde V. Tickle Jr.
BURLINGTON - Mr. Clyde Vernon “Butch” Tickle Jr., 50, of 4211 Bellemont-Mount Hermon Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Mr. Clyde Vernon Tickle Sr. and Mrs. Emma Martin Tickle, both deceased. He was employed by Sherry Industries in Gibsonville.
Survivors include a daughter, Miss Emily “Christy” Tickle of Altamahaw; a sister, Mrs. Roseann Tickle Brown of Roseboro; and a brother, Mr. Robert Scott Tickle of Mebane.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Altamahaw Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Steven Hicks, pastor; the Rev. Michael Johnson, chaplain at Alamance Regional Medical Center; and the Rev. Ron Moore. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in Bethlehem Christian Church cemetery.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home of Ms. Elsie Arrwood, 3523 Sutton Road, Elon College.

Mrs. Harriet E. Long
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Harriett Enoch Long, of 7411 N.C. 62 North, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Mr. Jule Long, who survives, and the daughter of Mr. Ed Enoch and Mrs. Minnie Vincent Enoch, both deceased. She was a farmer and a housewife.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include two sons, Mr. Perry Jule Long and Mr. Linwood Monroe Long, both of the home.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Snow Hill Primitive Baptist Church by Elder Burrie Pinnix and Elder Darius Dixon. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Burial will be in Enoch Family Cemetery.
The family will be at Sharpe Memorial Chapel from 6 to 7 p.m. this evening.

Mr. Thomas Pulliam
DURHAM - Mr. Thomas Pulliam of Meadowbrook Nursing Home died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at Durham Regional Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Caswell County, he was the son of Mr. Robert Pulliam and Mrs. Mattie W. Pulliam, both deceased. He was disabled and a member of High Rock Baptist Church in Caswell County.
There are no immediate survivors.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at High Rock Baptist Church by the Rev. Charles Pulliam. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Sharpe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Barbara J. Walton
BURLINGTON - Miss Barbara Jean Walton, 59, of 707 S. Beaumont Ave., died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Mr. William Kitchen Walton and Mrs. Ruth Jerlyn Whitt Walton, both deceased. She was retired from Elizabeth Meade Hosiery Co., and was a member of Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Miss Mae Walton of the home and Mrs. Peggy Hodge of Burlington; and two brothers, Mr. James Ronald Walton of Burlington and Mr. William K. Walton of Alabaster, Ala.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ebern Allen, pastor. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home of Mrs. Peggy Hodge, 854 King St., Burlington.

Mr. Horace Carew
GREENSBORO - Mr. Horace Carew, of 2306 Trade St., died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at his home after a long illness.
A native of Trinidad, West Indies, he was the husband of Mrs. Katherine Willis Carew, who survives, and the son of Mr. Nathaniel Carew and Mrs. Gertina Carew, both deceased. He was a carpenter.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include a son, Mr. Joseph Carew of Brooklyn, N.Y.
The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Sharpe Memorial Chapel in Burlington by the Rev. Gary Johnson, pastor of New Birth Baptist Church, and the Rev. Lucius Sellars. Burial will be in Sweet Gum Grove cemetery.
The family will be at Sharpe Memorial Chapel 30 minutes before the service.

Mrs. Nancy A. Euliss
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Nancy Allison Euliss, 69, of 6238 Kimesville Road, died at 8:12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, at her home after a long illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Mr. Devoe C. Euliss, who survives, and the daughter of Mr. Walker Marion Allison and Mrs. Virgie Isley Allison, both deceased. She was retired from Kayser-Roth Corp. She was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school, was a member of the choir, administrative board, Ferguson Circle, Wonderful Wednesdays, was children’s Sunday school superintendent and bazaar chairman.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include three sons, Mr. Roger Layne Euliss of Greensboro, Mr. James Matthew “Jimmy” Euliss and Mr. Dennis Wayne Euliss, both of Liberty; a sister, Mrs. Polly Johnson of Burlington; two brothers, the Rev. W.D. Allison and Mr. Jerry Wayne Allison, both of Haw River; two grandchildren; one step grandchild; one great-grandchild; and one great-step grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church by Dr. Chares D. Adams, pastor, and the Rev. W.D. Allison. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery
