Mrs. Nina G. Moser
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Nina Goldston Moser, 82, of 202 Kitchen St., died at 5:55 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 1998, at Alamance Regional Medical Center, after three years of failing health, two weeks critical.
A native of Cabarrus County, she was the wife of the late Mr. William Edgar Wilson, the late Mr. Robert Ray Wiley and the late Mr. Alton Clay Moser. She was the daughter of Mr. John Stancil Goldston and Mrs. Cora Isenhour Goldston, both deceased. She was retired from Dan River Mills. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elon College, where she was a member of the Happy Morning Club, the Wesleyan Sunday School Class, Circle No. 3 and in 1991, she was honored as LayPerson of the Year.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Barbara) Faucette of Burlington; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Margaret Allison of Graham and Mrs. Helen Whitsett of Tulsa, Okla; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Waddell and Mrs. Mary Leonard, both of Burlington; three brothers, Mr. John Goldston and Mr. Ralph Goldston, both of Burlington, and Mr. Bill Goldston of Manchester, Tenn.; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eight great-step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Mabel Bradshaw.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church of Elon College by the Rev. Randy Innes, pastor. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening and at other times at the home.

Mr. William Blackwelder Sr.
PALM BAY, Fla. - Mr. William Blackwelder Sr., 66, of Palm Bay, died Monday, March 9, 1998, at his home after one year of failing health.
A native of Salisbury, he was the husband of Mrs. Evelyn Blackwelder, who survives, and the son of Mrs. Pearl Mansfield, who survives, and the late Mr. Lonnie Blackwelder Sr. He was a former employee of RCA and retired as a master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam.
Survivors other than his wife of Palm Bay and mother of Burlington include five daughters, Mrs. Mary Forbes of Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. Virginia Broussard of Dalzell, S.C., Mrs. Helen Freeman of Rockledge, Fla., Mrs. Carolyn Kane and Ms. Barbara Blackwelder, both of Palm Bay; two sons, Mr. Marc Blackwelder of Altus, Okla., and Mr. William Blackwelder Jr. of Palm Bay; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Layton of Graham and Mrs. Carolyn Stewart of Burlington; a stepsister, Mrs. Jo Anne Madren of Los Gatos, Calif.; a brother, Mr. Lonnie Blackwelder Jr. of Papillion, Neb.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday in Palm Bay.

Mr. David H. Lewis
GRAHAM - Mr. David H. 'Dave' Lewis, 81, of 804 Brookgreen Terrace, died at 5:15 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 1998, at Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Alamance in Graham after two months of failing health.
A native of Ashe County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Iris James Lewis, and the son of Mr. James R. Lewis and Mrs. Marcie Trivett Lewis, both deceased. He was retired from the Conrail Corp., which was formerly Penn Railroad and Penn Central Railroad. He was a member of Collington Masonic Order, Lodge No. 230, in Bowie, Md. He was a member of Swepsonville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Mr. David H. Lewis Jr. of Graham and Mr. Don Lewis of Yorba-Linda, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Matthews of Hope Mills and Mrs. Mary Bell McClanhan of Manassas, Va.; a brother Mr. Dordon Lewis of Todd; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Glenn Everett, pastor of Swepsonville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Park.
The family will be at the funeral home from 3 to 4 this afternoon and at other times at the home.
Mr. Bobby M. Lloyd
CHAPEL HILL - Mr. Bobby McKenzie Lloyd, 61, of 5218 N.C. 54, died at 2:15 p.m. Friday, March 13, 1998, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after an illness of three weeks.
A native of Orange County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Shirley Joyce Hunter Lloyd, and the son of Mr. Van Albert Lloyd and Mrs. Pinkie McKenzie Lloyd, both deceased. He was a retired construction helper and was a Baptist.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Glenda Barber of Pittsboro, Mrs. Sarah Hoggard of Spring Lake and Mrs. Vicki Walker of Haw River; two sons, Mr. Billy Lamont Coble of Haw River and Mr. Bobby Van Lloyd of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Bernice L. Wynn of Mebane and Mrs. Mary Ellen Atkins of Burlington; three brothers, Mr. Johnnie Lloyd of Gibsonville, Mr. James Lloyd of Efland and Mr. Cliff Harrell Lloyd of Deland, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Linda Lloyd White.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by the Rev. Fleet Millsap. Burial will be in Free Spirit Camp cemetery in Mebane.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 this evening and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wynn, 920 Mattress Road, Mebane.
Mrs. Etrulia T. Curtis
GRAHAM - Mrs. Etrulia Torain Curtis, 61, of 988 Moore's Chapel Church Road, died at 3 a.m. Friday, March 13, 1998, at her home after a long illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Mr. Clayton Curtis, who survives, and the daughter of Mr. Jesse J. Torain and Mrs. Naomi Siler Torain, both deceased. She was a member of Cedar Cliff Holiness Church, where she served on the Usher Board.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include two daughters, Mrs. Darlene C. Coltrane of the home and Mrs. Lavana Thacker of Burlington; five sons, Mr. Larry Curtis and Mr. Steve Curtis, both of Graham, Mr. Tony Curtis of the home, Mr. Patrick Curtis of Burlington and Mr. Kenneth Curtis of Liberty; two sisters, Mrs. Madeline Strickland of Washington, D.C., and Miss Shirlene Torain of Graham; a brother, Mr. Carl Torain of Burlington; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m Tuesday at Cedar Cliff Holiness Church by Mr. David Terry, pastor. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at Hargett and Byrant Funeral Home from 7 to 8 Monday evening.
Mr. Clyde V. Compton
DURHAM - Mr. Clyde Vernon Compton, 73, died Friday, March 13, 1998, at his home.
A native of Durham, he was the son of Mr. Henry Henderson and Mrs. Mabel Phillips Compton, both deceased. He attended Durham City Schools and ran Clyde's Grocery Store for many years.
Survivors include four brothers, Mr. Edgar Compton of Durham, Mr. Henry Compton of Piscataway, N.J., and Mr. Julius Compton of Huntsville, Ala., and Mr. Daniel Compton of Belton, S.C.; four sisters, Ms. Ethel Compton of the home, Ms. Helen C. Pendergrass, Ms. Midlred C. Cook and Ms. Nelda Compton Suggs, all of Durham; and other relatives in Burlington.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hall-Wynne Chapel in Durham. Burial will be in Mapelwood Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 this evening.

Mrs. Emagene Wilson
KILL DEVIL HILLS - Mrs. Emagene Kearns Wilson, 80, of 140 Roanoke Drive, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 1998, at Norfolk General Hospital, after an illness of two months, two hours critical.
Born May 4, 1917, in Asheboro, she was the wife of the late Mr. Max Wilson, and the daughter of Mr. Irven Stamey Kearns and Mrs. Emma Dorsett Kearns, both deceased. She was retired from First Union National Bank in Greensboro after 28 years of service. She was a member of Market Street Methodist Church in Greensboro and was a graduate of Asheboro High School and High Point University.
Survivors include two sons, Mr. Robert Burt Wilson of Kill Devil Hills and Mr. Max Kearns Wilson of Pheonix, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Kearns Loroman of Burlington; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be private.

Mr. Edward Abrams Sr.
GREENSBORO - Mr. Edward Pershing Abrams Sr., 80, of 6100 W. Friendly Ave., died Saturday morning, March 14, 1998, after a short illness.
Born Sept. 13, 1917, in Newberry, S.C., he was the husband for 55 years of Mrs. Helen Thrower Abrams, who survives. He graduated from Clemson College in 1939. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a navigator/bombardier during World War II and was awarded the Air Medal for his combat service in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. In 1950, he and his brother, the late Mr. M.S. Abrams, founded Abrams Construction Co., which built schools and churches throughout the Piedmont area for 40 years, including schools and churches in Alamance County. He was an active member of Presbyterian Church of the Covenant for more than 40 years, where he served in many leadership capacities. He was active in Habitat for Humanity in Greensboro, the Shepherd's Center and the O'Henry Golden Kiwanis Club.
Survivors other than his wife include a daughter, Ms. Constance Abrams Booth; two sons, Mr. Edward P. Abrams Jr. and Mr. Hugh B. Abrams; a sister, Ms. Inez Stephens; a brother, Mr. Thomas M. Abrams; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m Monday at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant. Burial will be private.
The family will be at Forbis and Dick, Guilford Chapel, from 7 to 9 this evening.

Mr. Hubert Satterfield
GRAHAM - Mr. Hubert A. Satterfield, 85, of 779 Woody Drive, formerly of 507 S. Fourth St., Mebane, died at 2:48 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 1998, at Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Alamance in Graham.
Born July 3, 1912, in Orange County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Eleanor Carlisle Herritage Satterfield, and the son of Mr. John Satterfield and Mrs. Ara McDade Satterfield, both deceased. He was the retired owner and operator of Satterfield Grocery Store of Mebane. He was a member of Mebane United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Miller of Burlington, Mrs. Sandra Rogers of Mocksville and Mrs. Sherri Garrett of Columbia, S.C.; a son, Mr. Ronald Satterfield of Graham; and eight grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Oakwood cemetery in Mebane by the Rev. Al Trotter, pastor of Mebane United Methodist Church.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane form 7 to 9 this evening and at other times at the home of the son, 707 Oakgrove Drive, Graham.

Mrs. Bronzie Musselwhite
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Bronzie Kenyon Musselwhite, 83, of 1159 Sandy Cross Road, died at 10:50 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 1998, at her home after three years of failing health, two weeks critical.
A native of Orange County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Currie Henry Musselwhite, and the daughter of Mr. William MacFarland Kenyon and Mrs. Brona Elizabeth Terrell Kenyon, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Elon College.
Survivors include one son, Mr. Rez Keith Kenyon of the home; two brothers, Mr. Joseph Kenyon and Mr. R.D. Kenyon, both of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. William Odell Kenyon.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop Richard L. Cauley of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Elon College. Burial willl be in Alamance Memorial Park.

Ms. Ruth B. Clymer
REIDSVILLE - Ms. Ruth Bunton Clymer, 92, of Bayberry Retirement Inn, died Saturday, March 14, 1998.
A native of Burlington, she was the wife of the late Mr. Dewey M. Clymer, and the daughter of Mr. William Henry Bunton and Mrs. Mamie Moser Bunton, both deceased. She had lived in Reidsville most of her life. She was a homemaker, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Forest Hills Home Demonstration Club. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Marie C. Jones of Danville, Va.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Citty Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. David Wyant and the Rev. R.E.L. Moser. Burial will be in Reidlawn Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. today.
