CAUDILL Mr. Brady Caudill, age 68, of 1803 Peach Bottom Rd., Laurel Springs, N.C., died Saturday evening at the Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta, N.C. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Evans Caudill. He is survived by one son: Wade Caudill of the home; one daughter: Myrtle Caudill of the home; four Brothers: Haywood, Henry and Bill Caudill, all of Laurel Springs, and Tom Caudill of Wilkesboro, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Landmark Union Baptist Church with Burial in the Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral services at the Church. The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be made to the family.
PETTY Mr. Carl Edward (Ed) Petty, age 64, of 2039 US Highway 221, Sparta, NC, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at his home. He is survived by his wife: Barbara (Bobbie) J. Petty of the home; four daughters and two sons-in-law: Karla Petty of Sparta, NC, Kathy Murphy of Winston-Salem, NC, Karen and Dave May of Galax, Va., and Kellye and Leonard Wiles of Sparta, NC; five grandchildren and one step-grandchild; one brother and sister-in-law: Richard and Brenda Petty of Lenoir, NC; one sister and brother-in-law: Sharon and R.L. Jones of Statesville, NC; a step-mother: Lillian Petty of Sparta, NC; a special aunt: Polly Delp of Piney Creek, NC; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 25, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Jennings, Rev. Larry Atwood and Rev. Frank Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Methodist Cemetery. BUGIELSKI Mr. Anthony A. Bugielski, age 57, of 138 Atwood St., Sparta, N.C., died Saturday evening, March 18, 2000, at the Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta. He was preceded in death by a grandson: Chase Andrew Bugielski. He is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Triplett Bugielski of the home; One daughter: Sabrina Arnold of Piney Creek, N.C.; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jeff Bugielski of Charlotte, N.C., and Jimmy and Robin Bugielski of Sparta; three grandchildren: Chad and Leah Bugielski, and Brianna Arnold; one brother, Lawrence Bugielski of Lenoir, N.C.; and two sisters: Joan Woodruff and Cookie Smitzer, both of Michigan. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview Memorial Chapel with Burial in the Whitehead-Joines Cemetery. RICHARDSON Mrs. Sarah Richardson of 220 Elm Bend Rd. Brevard, N.C., and formerly of Alleghany County, died Saturday evening March 18, 2000, at the Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C. She was the widow of W. Frank Richardson. YOUNG Mrs. Wanda Weaver Young, age 75, of the Mt. Pleasant Nursing Home, Wilkesboro, NC, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, in the Wilkes Regional Medical Center in Wilkesboro, NC. She is survived by one brother: Rev. James Weaver of Wilkesboro, NC; four sisters: Mary Lee Landreth of Wilkesboro, NC; Patsy Irwin of Sparta, NC; Judy Combs of Wilkesboro; and Mozelle Settle of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service Monday, March 20, 2000, at 2:00 PM at the Elk Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. She is survived by a daughter: Mary Lou Schoone of Conway, S.C.; and a special friend: Mattie Hutchins of Glade Valley. several nieces and nephews also survive. NELSON Mrs. Mary Josephine Sexton Nelson, age 66, of Sparta, N.C., died Friday morning at the Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was the widow of Bud Nelson. She is survived by one son and daughter-in- law: Donny and Dolly Nelson of Sparta, N.C.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters: Dorothy Worrell and Aileen Rayburn both of Sparta, N.C. He is survived by his wife: Racine Taylor Critcher of the home; one daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Max Absher of Laurel Springs, N.C.; one grandson: Chip Absher of Mouth of Wilson, Va.; and one granddaughter: Sonya Absher of Winter Park, Florida. She is survived by four daughters: Madeline Hall of Raleigh, N.C., Vennere Linville of Bowling Greene, Va., Opal Joines and Irene Nichols, all of Ennice, N.C.; one son: Robert Greene of Galax, Va.; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Pearl Goodson of Galax, Va., and Sarah Linville of Independence, Va.; and one brother: Roscoe Holderfield of Low Gap, N.C.
