He is survived by his wife: Lillian Rollins Bloodworth of the home; two daughters: Susan Bobbitt of Sugar Land, Texas and Kayla Hudson of Sylva, NC; two sons: Marion Lee Bloodworth, Jr. of Indianola, Mississippi and Paul Bloodworth of Durham, NC; three grandchildren; and two brothers: Alexander Medford Bloodworth, Jr. of Sparta, NC and Jessie Wilson Bloodworth of Wilmington, NC. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, October 30, 2000, at 2:00 PM at the Grandview Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Combs and Rev. Tim Stamper officiating. EVANS Mrs. Eliza Marietta Felts Evans, age 86, of Pine Ridge Apartments 1G, Sparta, NC, died Thursday, October 26, in the Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Galax, Va. She was the widow of Woodrow Wilson Evans. She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Mary Rutherford of Ennice, NC and Mrs. Doris South Jordan of Utah; two sisters: Annie Ruth Flippins of Fancy Gap, Va. and Sarah Elza Speas of Cana, Va.; two brothers: Herman Felts of Austinville, Va. and Earl Felts of Hillsville, Va.; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Crab Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Burial to follow in the Saddle Mtn. Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church Friday afternoon where the family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-9 PM. GREENE Mrs. Beatrice Smith Greene, age 74, of 247 Deerhaven Road, Sparta, N.C., died Wednesday evening, October 25, 2000, at her home. She was the widow of Ray Greene. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Harold and Lucy Greene of Ennice, N.C.; three daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda and Donald Davis of Laurel Springs, N.C., Janet and Bill Prevette of Roaring River, N.C. and Bonnieand Jess Bumgarner of Wilkesboro, N.C.; five grandchildren; two brothers: Raymond Smith and June Smith, both of Ennice, N.C.; one sister: Hazel Vernon of Pipers Gap, Va.; and one half-brother: Lennie Fortner of Ennice, N.C. CAUDILL Mrs. Jennie Joines Caudill, age 84, of Sunbridge Nursing Center in Sparta, NC, died Monday morning, October 16, 2000, in the Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta, NC. She was the widow of James C. Caudill. She is survived by one daughter: Nancy Jane Caudill Braun of College Park, Md.; one son and daughter-in-law: L.C. and Brenda Caudill of Catonsville, Md.; three grandchildren: Marc J. Braun of Baltimore, Md., Linville Caudill and James Caudill both of Catonsville, Md.; and three sisters: Bernice Edwards and Dorothy Smith both of Sparta, NC and Lorene Crosby of Laurel Springs, NC. GUY Mr. John Oakley Guy, age 75, of 290 Duncan Street, Sparta, NC and Formerly of Charlotte, NC, died Thursday, October 12, 2000, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Iredell County on October 24, 1924, the son of the late James Abner Guy and Octa Bruce Guy. He was a retired machinist with Ronson Hydraulic in Charlotte, NC and was a member of the North Dale Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons: Larry Michael Guy, Albert Lee Guy and Kenneth Eugene Guy; one brother: James Woodrow Guy; and one sister: Mary Sue Montgomery. He is survived by his wife: Opal Miller Gu,y of the home; two sons: James Thomas Guy of Davidson, NC and David Lynn Guy of Mooresville, NC; two daughters: Teresa Ann Rues of Orlando, Fla. and Cynthia Renee Guy of Buthune, SC; one brother: Lawrence Guy of Stoney Point, NC; two sisters: Aliene Souls of Thomasville, NC and Margaret Adams of Asheboro, NC; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. RUTHERFORD Little Ethan Stuart Rutherford, age two months and four days, of 3922 Post Office Road, Piney Creek, NC, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He is survived by his parents, James and Darlene Rutherford of the home; one brother, Nathan Rutherford of the home; his paternal grandparents, Russell and Wanda Rutherford of Piney Creek; and his maternal grandparents, Rex and Helen Johnson of Piney Creek. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Elk Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. HART Mrs. Nancy Jane Hodge Hart, age 86, of 301 Lionel Avenue, Jacksonville, NC, died Tuesday morning, October 10, 2000, in the St. Joseph's of the Pines Nursing Home in Southern Pines, NC. She is survived by her husband: Leon T. Hart of the home; one son: William Maynard Pruitt of Jacksonville, NC; three daughters: Mrs. Elsie Shaw of Jacksonville, NC, Mrs. Jo Ann Woodcock and Mrs. Maxine Lane both of Pine Bluff, NC; three sisters: Betty Ruth Fender, Ertie Fender Fender and Ethel Fender all of Sparta, NC; one brother: R.L. ROBERTS Mr. Leo Roberts, age 92, formerly of Roaring Gap, N.C., died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at the Grayson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Independence, Va. He is survived by two sisters: Bertha Fulp and Hazel Deschenes, both of Roaring Gap, NC, Several nieces and nephews also survives. Memorial Services for Mr. Roberts will be held at a later date. NUTALL Mrs. Gladys Perry Nuttall, age 56, of 28 Caroline Street, Rochester, New York, died Wednesday, October 4, 2000, in the Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York. She is survived by her husband: David F. Nuttall of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Kenneth D. Nuttall, William F. and Stephanie Nuttall all of Rochester, New York; a granddaughter: Naomi Lynn Nuttall of Rochester, New York; three sisters: Gertha Alley, Francis Evans and Bertha Choate all of Sparta, NC; Five Brothers: James Perry, Ambrose Perry, Dean Perry and Buddy Perry all of Sparta, NC and Lonnie Perry of Wilkesboro, NC. MABE Mrs. Nora Nichols Mabe, age 85, of 934 Hwy. 18 South, Sparta, NC, died Tuesday evening, October 3, 2000, at her home. She was the widow of Odus Mabe. She is survived by four sisters: Etholene Bennett, Lou Bennett, Mattie Lowe and Maxine Nichols all of Sparta; and three brothers: Paul Nichols, Jack Nichols and Clay Nichols all of Sparta. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
