Mr. Johnson was born on August 14, 1941 in Ashe County, NC to Lonnie Fred and Pauline Neaves Johnson. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 10, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Junior Miller and Rev. Dayton Roten will officiate. Mrs. Goss was born on March 26, 1917 in Ashe County, NC to John and Ellen Eldreth. Her husband John L. Goss preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 28, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sabbath Home Baptist Church. Rev. Julian Owen and Rev. Lloyd Day will officiate. Burial will follow in the Goss Cemetery. David Allen Blevins age 89 of Jefferson, NC died Saturday, April 5, 2003 at the Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Blevins was born on March 8, 1914 in Whitetop, VA to Isaac and Rhody Blevins. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II, earning a Bronze Star in the European and Pacific Campaigns. Mr. Blevins was a retired Industrial Arts Teacher and Building Contractor. He was an active member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church, and participated in building missions in South, Central, and Latin America, as well as the Caribbean. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 7, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Jefferson United Methodist Church. Rev. Bob Miller will officiate. A military graveside will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2003 from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Badger Funeral Home. Mr. Haire was an engineer with the State Department of Transportation for 38 years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday January 12th at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Keith Wagoner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for 12:30 till 1:30 at the church prior to the service.
