Guida Phipps Ingram age 101 of Piney Creek, NC, formerly of Grayson County, VA died Thursday, October 30, 2003 at her residence. Mrs. Ingram was born on February 5, 1902 in Grayson County, VA to Joseph Thomas and Myrtle Lee DeBoard Phipps. She had retired from the public school system as a teacher. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lloyd Day will officiate. Burial will follow in the Potato Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 3, 2003 from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Badger Funeral Home. Mrs. Ingram is survived by: Daughters: Juanita I. Barnado of Piney Creek, NC Thelma I. Jean Hoke Phipps age 79 of Grassy Creek, NC, died Monday, February 2, 2004 at the Grayson Rehabilitation Center in Independence, VA. Mrs. Phipps was born on July 17, 1924 in Bluefield, WV to Raymond Burge and Pearl Presley Hoke. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Earl Phipps. Mrs. Phipps was an avid musician and a member of the Grassy Creek United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 6, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grassy Creek United Methodist Church. Rev. Charles McKinny and Rev. Raymond Seagle will officiate. Burial will follow in the New River Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 5, 2004 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Grassy Creek United Methodist Church.
